General Description
|Personality
[/col][col]Sayomi stands at an unassuming height of 5'1 with a slender frame and doesn't stand out physically in any particular way except for being slightly underweight due to lack of proper nutrition due to her impoverished upbringing. With this, her taijutsu is very weak and she lacks any real sort of strong upper body strength for the moment, though she can be quite adept stamina wise when she needs to be. Also attributed to her parent's low status and small income, her often does not wear the best clothes. They are often second-hand and patched up by her mother if something happens to them when she can. In her early days practicing ninjutsu, she messed up quite often which sometimes resulted in setting her own hair on fire so she tends to keep her brown locks short because of that. Her eyes, like her hair, is an unassuming brown color, though when she taps into her lightning chakra and abilities, they completely glow an electric neon color when in use, like all Santaru's. She is likely to shift her eyes away from people, especially those that she considers superior to herself and often has to be told to look at them and is also prone to fidgeting when nervous.|Growing up, Sayomi was never told she was special and could accomplish anything. Her parents had low expectations for from the start, which was only natural as both parents and branches had been mediocre ninjas despite their illustrious status of being born into the Santaru's. However, she still wanted to enroll into the academy when she came of age with friends she had made as a young girl and was so allowed to do so. She has low-self confidence in her own abilities and hasn't proven to be anything other than an ordinary ninja, with the exception that she has been able to tap into both elemental chakras of lightning and water that is required for her storm affinity, but has yet to combine it to create storm chakra. Sayomi is very self conscious about her appearance and does not believe herself attractive in any way, never being told otherwise as the brunette prefers to be away from people in her free time.
Deep down, she truly wants to be a ninja and make her village proud and redeem her parent's and branch's name, but always struggles with the idea that she will never make it and will be forced to take up blacksmithing with her parents (something she found herself equally as adept at doing as they are, which is not saying much at all). That being said, she struggles her best whenever she can to advance her own skills. She practices twice as hard to try to catch up to others when it is possible and is told that she is deluded (by the few people who know this personal goal) to try and follow her dream of helping establish a lasting peace between the nations, something which seems weird to people who live in the shinobi world.[/col]
History
The world that Sayomi was born into was a small one, existing only in the land of the clouds, among the various mountains that existed high above the earth itself. Yet, size of the land was not the issue, for her parents were apart of the noble and most respected house of the Village hidden in the Clouds, the Santaru. The Storm Masters. Both her parents were apart of this heritage and, like their parents and their parents before them, they showed little ability to access their heritage of Storm Jutsu. And so, despite both passing the academy, they never advanced above the rank of gennin, and settled in a life of making weapons for those who did pursue the life of a true Cloud Ninja. Thus, the heritage of her name did not weigh heavily on her position in the academy as her branch of the family was not respected much even among the other members. Sayomi was a girl of very average skill, going through life very simply and often not eating much which caused her to be very thin with little muscle on her body. However, even in the Academy days, she was shown to be more talented than her parents were even as gennin, though it was not saying much. Being teased for her clothes and weight and even her parents, she found it easier to just not talk often and stay by herself, though it did give her a strange sort of determination to work harder to prove that she could at the very least make a chuunin level. Eventually, she started working hard at trying to gain access to the storm kekkei genkai of her family's heritage and tapped into lighting, though only sparks at first which had a tendency to fly into her long hair, which led to her keeping it short at all times soon after.
Time passed by itself and an earlier mission during her days as a gennin, her first real mission outside fetch and carry quests that usually marked the beginning of training life for a ninja, and it led her near the land of fire where they were ambushed. It was a first real fight and she did try her best and ultimately they prevailed, but leaving her injured and per conduct, she was left for dead so that they were to finish the mission assigned. However, she did not die, instead, she met someone who lived in the land of fire who took care of her and nursed her back to health. It was a revelation because the couple did not seem to care that she was not one of her own people. They helped return her as far as they could back to the village in the land of lightning and they parted ways, but it was something that stuck in her mind forever. A strong desire for a peaceful world where all that mattered was kindness. It was a goal that seemed impossible, but something she would strive for nonetheless as she continued her career as a ninja because only someone who was strong and important could bring about a change.
