Born from a practically ancient clan line with many stories, theories and myths, and is currently the only known relative. Grew up in a bad neighborhood within the village of Cloud, where the neighbors and locals alike disliked and feared rumors surrounding the curse of the family line, with a family consisting of him, his brother and parents, both were lower ranked, shinobi, not displaying any unique strengths or weaknesses beyond the norm.
Once, upon joining the Academy for displaying chakra potential, and before completion he was taken under the wing of one Isaki Kushin, the bloody Medical Sennin around the time. A brutal, harsh, but ultimately supportive teacher for him. And around his 14th year, after graduation from the Academy after killing a giant sugary candy monster hunting him and his fellow classmates, he began the trials of Isaki Kushin.
This trial consisted of traveling to a remote location where several Cloud Shinobi had been pinned down inside of a cave by enemies of another nation, and they had to secure their fellow soldiers. Upon sneaking within the cave they found 3 shinobi, one wounded and the others unscathed. Kushin gave Keiji the choice. Attempt to depart and risk losing everyone. Or kill the wounded Shinobi, prevent information leaks, and ensure the safety of the rest. And after a moment of grilling, the choice was made to kill him. This had been Kushin’s plan all along, as Keiji had to do the killing, and the gathering of organs, which was the purpose Kushin had designated for his closest individualists, for you see, around this time, without the full sanction or knowing of the Kage, Kushin owned and operated under a strict system of organ harvesting. If you are a Cloud Nin, your body, your life, your being belongs to the Village. And if you leave, go missing, or otherwise, without the official pardon of the Kage, your life would be forfeit for the Harvesters as they were known would come for you eventually. This became Keiji’s life.
Upon returning, Keiji had changed, from full of life and boundless energy, he had grown dim, dark and sullen, however that wouldn’t have been the only bad, because soon after, while returning home from a mission he came home to a burning house, neighbors and locals surrounding his home with torches and the like. Angry, he ran inside, kicking and punching whoever was in his way, and amidst the flames, found a three chairs, bound together by rope, and upon them, three charred up corpses with their teeth and faceless demeanors looking up, as if all they had in the end was just screams.
In furious anger he ran out and began fighting, almost killing several of the locals, and as first responders arrived, Keiji had tired himself out, and could only think of getting away from everything. Remembering a friend and ally of his work in the Medical Branch, he ran to the mansion of Shinrya Kitsune where he was welcomed in, and while there in the bed he was placed in, he felt endless pain and torment, solidifying itself in shaping the white eyes that had activated from the deaths of his family. While still in pain, a friend of his had arrived at the mansion as they had heard of the situation. But in fear of being seen or in simple refusement of showing weakness to old classmates, he departed, while still in pain and frustration, in the end he found himself at a tavern in the outskirts of the city. There he was welcomed, provided a room and board, which he was able to pay for using his work payment as a Shinobi.
Going back to his old routine afterwards, within the best of his abilities of course.
After continuing down the path of the Harvesters for several years at that point, maturing and reaching adulthood, his sensei the Sennin had to depart for personal reasons, rumors were that he had left to help support the rebuilding efforts of Leaf.
During this time he had also been out traveling, gaining a new companion, a young girl, taken as a slave of an ancient clan of demon canines, taken by a group of Blood ogres that had taken hold of an older decrepit castle, saving her and killing the ogres they had come upon in their escape, resulted in her deciding that Suzaku Keiji was the best protector she could hope for, and therefore decided to sign her life in contract form to him. Becoming his Youkai. Taking the form of young girl, with long, frilly curled hair, tiny dark Shinobi robes and light brown eyes.
He dedicated several years of his life to two singular purposes. Taking over from his sensei, in continuing the Harvesters and their efforts in containing and securing the strengths of the Shinobi, building and adding to the great archives of Kushin containing all of the Organs harvested by him and the group at large. While not attaining the position of Sennin that is. And the purpose he had taken upon himself thanks to his new contract, the hunting of Blood Ogres. Traveling frequently out to continue his personal vendetta and slaughtering of them.
One fateful hunt, they had come upon a large army that was marching towards farm villages out in the open. And if were to accomplish it, they would become an official threat. But he and Hitomi (his Contract) had a plan. For the army travelled through a pass, and created an ambush. Dropping massive rocks upon them, separating the bulk of the army in order to make the fight more in his favor.
The operation was a success at first, managing to fight them back, and killing an massive amount, unfortunately, as they were busy fighting, some had managed to travel above of them, and released boulders upon him, as a final attempt at getting him down.
They managed to hit, and crush him, and in the rush of the moment they had managed to slice him in his face, disabling his eyes. Hitomi managed to fight the remaining forces away and pulled Keiji out, escaping back to Cloud and placing him in the hospital. After which the only operation they could think of, was replacing of his eyes, implanting another pair of Byakugan eyes from an old rival he had fought years ago.
Upon implanting them, he had awoken the Hakumei Byakugan abilities, enhancing his control of the Byakugan and his own Chakra control as a whole tremendously. These eyes becoming the foundation of his future strengths.
But it was short lived. For around this time, an unknown party had gathered intel on his Harvester group and provided this to the Kage. This prompted the Kage to invite Keiji and the rest of the Medical Branch leadership to the Kage tower to discuss it. Therein he was asked to stop his harvester efforts.
This having been his life’s goal, and the continuation of his sensei’s work, it didn’t sit well with him. But in a sign of morbid luck, the timing of the meeting correlated with a moment where Hoshikata, a brash, rude and self righteous Missing, wanted his audience and by force demanded his case of joining Cloud be taken seriously after fulfilling something for him. But as the Kage was dismissing him, he and the companions that had forced their way into the meeting opened fire and murdered the Kage where he stood.
Realising the reality of what was going on in front of him. Keiji and Shinrya Kitsune decided to remain seated. While the Medical Sennin and a newly introduced Medical Nin in Training tried without result to defend the Kage and got themselves slaughtered.
While Keiji and Kitsune decided to simply step out in go back to their routine.
Alas, things are never that easy, and sensing the impending changes and difficulties that he and his group of Harvesters were going towards, he decided to pack up shop instead. Hiding away the great vault from anyone that might seek the fountain of powerful organs, their research, papers, books written by either himself, his sensei and other researchers in the same field, was locked and hidden away. The harvesters were spread out, and went into hiding, utilizing their training, gained through their many exercises and training with ANBU. Some opted to sticking close to their master, whom at this time was Keiji, and as the signal for all preparations had concluded, Keiji draped a cloak, and made his escape from the confines of Kumogakure. Stepping out, with allies and his companion Hitomi. Only goal on his agenda at the time, find his sensei, discover his whereabouts and find ways to end the fight against the oncoming onslaught of Blood ogres.

Together with a small team of Harvesters, and Hitomi Keiji found solace out among the wilderness, of the Lightning Country, traveling light and utilizing Guirella tactics towards the Blood Ogre Demons rampaging small villages across the landscapes while dodging those sent out to hunt and search for Keiji. Thankfully, due to his previous training with the ANBU of Cloud, he was able to dodge and avoid capture. His Hakumei serving him greatly in discovering those searching for him, and finding their destinations and avoiding them effectively.
Throughout the years, he became a local legend of those that knew of the Blood Ogres, speaking of the a demon with lightning, that came and saved them from other demons, no one truly saw who the person was, except that for the bright blue eyes shining through their very souls and avoiding them.
One day, while hunting a band of Blood Ogres, he caught them as they were about to begin assaulting a small group of gatherers, unfortunately, as he was about to hit a final blow one managed to strike him across the head, rendering him unconscious for a week, they villagers he had saved decided to help, and took him in, both Hitomi and the remaining Harvesters that had run from Cloud now about 12 decided to stick around as well, dressing up as normal villagers and hiding their abilities from travelers, helping out in the village, gathering, hunting and supporting their projects while healing, planning, and preparing for Keiji's awakening.
On the 9th day of their presence, Keiji awoke. In his slumber he had dreamt of a new path, a way to not only improve themselves but also an unfortunate truth. They had to move on. They had to find out other ways to work against the oncoming struggles, for Keiji and his Harvesters it was no longer a matter of Lightning Country, it is the world at large that is in trouble. He had a suspicion that it wasn't just the Country of Lightning that was being targeted by otherworldly beasts.
