Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Overall Appearance:
Sarunishi stands 6'6" and his skin is made of obsidian with cracks running all throughout. His eyes are a deep red like rubies and glisten with an unnatural sheen. He wears blue robes and no shoes at all. His hands and feet have been warp by demonic chakra and through time to be scythe like talons in place of fingers and toes. His teeth look like alabaster filed down to points like that of shark teeth. His general presence is hot and as his temper rises so do the temperatures about him. Time was kind, in some ways, to this man. His physique remained and he was not atrophied much to say the least. The greatest tears were in his mind.

Mentally, Sarunishi's mind has weakened over the years. Captivity and failing his sacred oaths were enough to drive lesser men mad. Sarunishi is only a bit of a madman. Although not always the quickest to anger, some things get down under his skin and make him burn with rage. Mostly he's in tact, however, and has to no reason to snap. As a chained beast of the state, he vies for freedom and that is the utmost thing on his mind. The landscape of such a mind was ravages of malice and poison. Not a single part did not bleed animosity towards his fellow man if, of course, he was to be considered a man.

History:
Sarunishi grew up in Stone ages past. A happy go lucky child, he never found himself wanting for the world. He lived a simple life as the child of two shinobi warleaders and he and his brothers were raised to follow in their stead. When relations grew tenuous and rough with time, Sarunishi and his family weresent to leaf as a means of negotiation and peace. What this may have brought in terms of that were entirely unknown to Sarunishi, however he found Leaf quite to his liking and took his duties quite seriously. When the Red Rains came to leaf, Sarunishi's dreams and life were destroyed all around him and he secluded himself from the world until time permitted him to walk once more.

Happy beginnings always lead to unhappy endings in his book. His family was lost. His mind was lost. All things were lost until he was shackled away to wait and do the bidding of new masters. It was his own fault being so unruly and full of spite for the world he left. His world was forever lost to him in actuality, while he was forced to live anew in completely unknown times. Anachronistic and unwilling to change, Sarunishi relented against the world he had come into and would continue to do so without mercy for many ages. A man with nothing had everything to gain from the world around him.
In ages past, near the original founding of Konohagakure, it was said that the royal family had protectors that were built from the finest of materials delivered from the land of Iwagakure. Such extravagent pieces of art were forged, chiseled, and fashioned into living warriors of stone with demons bound into their cores to give them life, obedience, and most importantly, sentience. One such guardian, of legend or notoriety, given the point the story was told, was known simply as Sarunishi. Sarunishi was an exceptionally noble warrior gifted with the binding of a fiery female demon that had long since had its name lost to records. Smoldering and crackling beneath his skin so violently, this demon forced the very surface of his body to crack and shift ever so slightly like magma beneath the earth's core. Obsidian skin glistened in contrast to the light produced and such a monster spewed fire from its lips and the ground quaked with every step. With the fall of the land caused by the Red Rains, Sarunishi was left untethered and uncontrolled by the royal family. Several hundred years later it was said that Sarunishi rose from the geothermal tap with such a rage that no volcano recorded matched his violence. He was captured and suspended from the ground, unable to force his hands together to form seals, nor touch his very skin to the world around him in fear he'd bring the world down around him. So they say, of course, that this happened and that the Yamaguchi to this day oversee his imprisonment. Such a valuable treasure was prized and to waste it would be a fool's folly. Letting it die would have been a totally different ordeal as well. These are but legends, of course, and perhaps only portions of such accounts can be true.
As such, Sarunishi and the demon's past were in fact very true. However, the origins were far more benign and honest than these silly children's tales. Sarunishi, among this family, were brought to leaf from Tsuchigakure as a gift to the royal family in the name of peace. They were serve as a honor guard, of sorts, given their unique nature and affiliation with the earth. They were of the first Kyoujouran clans and Sarunishi was the oldest brother among them. Honorable, wise, and without fear he agreed to a less than noble pact with the Yamaguchi family. To be gifted with servitude, they would contain a unique demon of one of the five elements within their bodies, not only to keep the demons from causing trouble, but also to bind those such imbued with seals of morality and subservience were they to step out of line. Graciously, the family agreed and were placed into service without issue at all. It was their duty above all else to protect the royal family and maintain a semblance of peace in the land. Of course, the demons nipped and maimed at the minds of those they were forced to be contained within, but such minds were resilient and stubborn in most ways. The process with which they were sealed, however, was another story. The essence of the demons were forcefully pushed into the very chakra of the Kyoujouran. It mingled. It burned, sliced, shocked, drowned, shredded, and crushed the very chakra is was trying to mingle with until the two, through force and sheer will of the recipient, melded the two forced together in a semi-simbiotic fashion. The Kyoujouran bled, which was very unlike them, and their blood ran together to form a strong bond between the demons and their hosts. Exposing themselves to the world allowed for the demons to better merge with their hosts and create and allow for a more positive outcome, though such an outcome was not always plausible. These demons were relatively ancient in comparison to the people they were bound. They were anywhere between five to ten or twenty times the age of the one receiving them and the age variations were based on the age of the one receiving. Sarunishi was given the worst of it with the demon wreathed in flame.

She was as cruel and as inviting as one would expect from a being made of flame. She drew you in with her warmth and would burn you alive. She was found nestled beneath the earth, layered and comfortable within the lava flows. She was without rival down there and had grown complacent with her life. Surfacing through the volcanic vents that lead through a mountain, she spewed forth destruction and panic form the side of the iron home she once dwelled. The Yamaguchi, having seen this as a means to seize power and have a trump for those that wished to do them harm, bound this demon and four of its siblings, one of each element, to their service. Of course, like most demons, they were not all malevolent or benevolent. It was simply their natures they wished to produce with their every action. The fiery demon wished not to cause such problems, but for something exciting, and to be given the chance to simply breath. With that, she felt no animosity for her capture. She understood all too well what she had done and what implications it meant for the world of man. She was of another time and if this was to be the state of the world then she would not fight it.

So she and Sarunishi became one. Unlike the others which attempted to ravage the minds of their hosts, she spoke softly and with a love and compassion one could not gain from most mortals. She had many long talks into the mornings with Sarunishi about philosophies and the ways of man and what her life was like before capture. He would simply smile and nod within their personal mental space and speak softly and kindly on such issues. He felt a great pain for her, as she felt for him, but he was proud of his work. He did great things by sharing their power and she lived well within him. Her nature could be fulfilled without actually causing any true destruction. Through Sarunishi, she was complete. Through her, Sarunishi was also complete. He had no need for love beyond her as the honor guard were required to never wed, never bear children, and never copulate in the first place. Such pleasures were not for them. Sarunishi was the happiest man in the world, yet he knew not what his fate would be.
LIke Pompeii in our times, so too came the Red Rains that brought destruction to the very land itself. Sarunishi and his brothers watched in horror as the violent world came crashing through around them. They'd failed to uphold their duty. Leaf was gone and the Yamaguchi mostly perished. Everything that was Sarunishi's life was ripped away from him and his family. His entire world cascaded and slipped away underneath everything. He was lost as so too were his duties. He and his brothers simply slipped away for a time, later, when the Yamaguchi perhaps would rise again. Perhaps in the future they would be able to find purpose once again. Sarunishi made it his duty to assure this would come to pass as his last duty was taken from him and with it a minor grasp on his sanity. The only thing holding him together was the mind he shared.

Then the day came hundreds of years later. Sarunishi rose from his place of slumber to be greeted only by magma and pipes tapping into the very earth itself. Rage overcame him as the natural land was perverted and manipulated for unnatural use. Consumed by anger, Sarunishi's fiery nature rippled forth and his naturally obsidian frame cracked and vented heat in unnatural ways as his form grew upon his release. Thrashing and howling, Sarunishi caused quite the unnatural scene for the budding new Konohagakure. Of course, he was completely unaware that time had passed due to his slumber and that leaf was to rise again. Faced with enough force on the opposite end, Sarunishi was brought down by the fledgling state. His body was shackled in heavy metal chains and shackles which kept him from touching the world around him. He simply burned with rage, contained, and unable to hold himself together. His skin crackled and shifted within the restraints, but they would not budge nor would they melt from the intense heat and eventually he subsided. He was left alone. He was fed once a day by nameless Anbu and observed only their movements. They spoke no words and gave no sympathy. To them he was a monster and would remain as such. To the outside world he'd be nothing more than a legend to scare children to sleep.

Oh how his mind quaked. He was alone aside from his single companion, but even that was not enough. She did her best to keep his mind at ease, but it meant little given all he'd lost. He traded one home for another, and one family for another. He had kept his brothers, but they very well could be lost to the ravages of time. They slumbered somewhere and were not easily going to be stirred. He was left a broken man. He truly was a monster at this point. No human contact had left him bitter and without want to help the world as previously he had. All he wished for was destruction or redemption and the former, given his particular talents, seemed quite more likely than the latter.

Sarunishi was the embodiment of rage. His name was spoken in hushed whispers. He was a museum exhibit that soon, perhaps, would take his place rightfully among people. Likely, however, he'd be kept on heavy shackles and lot left to stray far.
