Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ziren has called on a certain academy student, one that he thinks might be of some potential. But first, he will see about a small little test.

He was just standing by a small shop, of where he has asked for the kid to show up.
Inuzuka Kohaku,
Meet me by the small shop on the corner. If you can't seem to find me, try and track me down. My blue hair will give it away.
Medical Chief Ziren

There was a reason as to why he was a bit cryptic in the message, and kind of vague. He wanted to see if the kid could find him just by his scent, when they first met. He sure has known the kid's blood flow, if he ever makes his way.

The azure haired Medical Chief decided to keep himself occupied while waiting, mainly just looking at the things the shop was selling. Nothing too much of his interest. He was doing this, all the while, keeping his ears open for the Inuzuka's blood flow, along with his dog's.

[This will take place before Ziren's big physical change]

The letter sure didn't give much away.

Kohaku furrowed his brow as he stared down at the paper in his hand. He briefly looked down to Shiromaru after having read out the note, but his little brother looked as befuddled as he was. A class maybe? That was Kohaku's first reaction, but nothing was scheduled as far as he knew. Shiro finally piped up and let out a few barks and grumbles.

"Ziren-sensei, yeah," the Inuzuka nodded, tapping his chin wistfully as he got to his feet, "well, if that's all we've got to go on, and he needs us for something, let's get going! Just follow the scent from the letter; it stinks of rust and metal anyway," he said, bringing the letter up to his face and taking a deep breath, letting Shiro do the same. An individual's hands had a lot of areas which could secrete a lot of pheremones or chemical signatures - childsplay for an Inuzuka to track down.

The brothers set out - the boy and his dog. Shiro was wistfully sniffing along the floor while Kohaku took in a sharp breath every couple of minutes to make sure they were on the right track. Everything seemed normal today; the village seemed to be set about its daily races. The market district was decently busy which made finding one particular person a bit of a challenge, but that scent was pretty unmistakeable. A head of blue hair appeared from around the corner as the Inzuka and his ninken appeared from around it. The scent ended here, but here he was, standing in front of that freaky blood-manipulator.

"Present, sensei," he said respectfully, Shiromaru courteously sititng beside his legs. Both of them remained before their teacher, awaiting their first instructions of what they were to do for what he figured must be some kind of tutoring session.

He turned his head, as he heard the blood flow of the Inuzuka nearing him. He noticed them before he even said that he was present.

The Medical Chief smiled, and said, "Congrats, you made it through the first step, of today's tutor. Now the next step, is going to take a bit more effort." The Chigokai presented a kunai. "This was found at the scene of a crime. A man robbed a bank. Now, this is where we test your tracking skills. It seemed he was prepared, and covered his tracks well. We've had other Inuzuka try and grab his scent, but to no avail. Except for this." Ziren handed the kunai to Kohaku. "This was found at the scene of the crime. Your goal to to find the man. But it won't be that simple. You will have to try and find him, while I'm also trying to find him. A race of sorts. But fret not, from what I can tell, he used a clone technique. Not just any clones. But blood clones. Something but would pick up, but won't be able to differentiate between which would be the real one."

He brought out a pocket watch. "I estimate that the real one will have successfully leave the village in about three minutes."

Once Kohaku and Shiro sniff the kunai, they would find several scents. All of which moving. One near where they were. Another seems to be on top of Hokage Rock, the third is nearing the gates, and the final one near the clan houses.

"The race starts in three, two, one." With that, Ziren just started to walk casually to Hokage Rock, before leaping up to the nearest building, and rushing to the monument. From what he can hear, the blood flow on the Hokage Rock isn't really moving around. The Medical Chief, made some hand seals and an eye formed in his right hand, made out of pure chakra. He sent the eye out to keep a close... eye on the Inuzuka and his hairy companion.

"Crime scene?" The Inuzuka absent-mindedly parroted as he spared a glance down at Shiromaru who seemed pretty confused as well. Without much thought, he took the kunai in his hand that Ziren had offered to him a listened intently to his instructions. It seemed pretty early for a tracking mission, even if it was just within the bounds of the village. The idea of it was interesting though. The scent from the kunai was strong, easily followable but the fact that there were blood clones would complicate matters. If he was following the scent of blood, then blood clones would share an identical scent, making it almost impossible for him to trace the real one, at least at his level of development with his skills. As Ziren lept to the rooftops, Shiromaru and Kohaku set about their task.

"Three minutes? Three sodding minutes?!" Kohaku lamented as he frantically darted through the streets, Shiro matching his speed and running alongside him. It didn't seem like enough time, but the scent was starting to become stronger. They were both nearing the gates - the closest capture point. He wanted to intercept the first scent. Both Inuzuka and ninken arrived at the gates to the village, scouting out for the thief/blood clone. There wasn't much to do now but wait and see if the man was going to arrive. If he couldn't find him in a minute, he'd give up and investigate the other scents he could detect. He had to find the thief before Ziren-sensei did.

Ziren made it to where the first of many scents of blood was, the Hokage Rock. He can't smell the blood, but he can certainly hear it. The Medical Chief brought out his staff to hit the culprit right upside their head, to knock them out. But that was when things got a bit more fun. Blood burst from the clone, the blood flying close to the Chigokai to come into contact, as if had a mind of its own.

Ziren jumped back and looked about. The blood quickly dissipated into nothingness in front of him. That was when he remembered how potent these type of clones are. Some hand seals were made, and a clone of himself appeared. Normal water clone. The clone made it's way fast to where Kohaku was. The clone arrived there shortly and said, "Oh yeah, one more thing. These blood clones have something special about them. Try not to get into physical contact with them, as they can absorb your blood. And destroyed, they can also take some of your blood that way too. So be careful."

With that said, the clone poofed away, water splashing out of where it once was. Not even seconds later, Kohaku would pick up the scent of the thief or blood clone. With this new information at hand, how will he tackle the situation? Contact attacks would be useless against such a thing as a blood clone. From what Kohaku sees, is a man, dressed in a black shirt, blue jeans, black tint sunglasses. He had black hair, and pale skin. This is where the scent was coming from. He could tell that the man seemed nervous, looking about, as if making sure the coast was clear.

Ziren-sensei's sudden additional appearance made him jump. Water clones, they never really had much of a strong scent and they were always the hardest to track. He immediately looked up as his teacher went to offer him some additional information. Blood clones did seem pretty dangerous, and so did this criminal, given what he was apparently able to do. It didn't bother the Inuzuka massively; he had an idea of what he was going to do when it really got down to it and he needed to act. Luckily, he wasn't a one-trick doggy. The boy looked down at his little brother and conferred with him for a moment before deciding where to go and what to do. They were running out of time so it was going to be best to act quickly, but they couldn't risk attacking the wrong person because they mixed up the scent from being too hasty or something.

"Yeah, I think I smell something too," he said to him quietly, the dog giving a couple of growls of approval. Once he was sure he'd caught a matching scent, both he and Shiromaru headed towards it as carefully as the two of them could hope to manage. It took a few seconds, but they spotted the culprit hanging around the village gates. This seemed pretty easy to Kohaku ventured a guess that this was probably the clone. Once it seemed safe to do so, Kohaku slowly reached into his pouch and reached for a small metal rod which he'd been keeping in case of a fight; his father had been teaching him to use lightning ninjutsu which required a lot of physical contact but the old ANBU retiree didn't hesitate to pass on his wisdom that physical hand-to-foe combat wasn't always safe so this was usually a better strategy. Running as silently as he could up behind his opponent, he made several hand signs before his hand began to crackle with sparks which quickly shot down the rod just in time for him to discharge it into the clone. Blood, he figured, would conduct electricity pretty well; he'd learned in class that blood was salty and contained iron - lots of electrolytic particles meant it was a good conductor, which, if not incapacitating the clone/thief would certainly stun them. If it was indeed the thief, he'd have Shiromaru alert Ziren as best he could.

"You're not getting away with anything," he growled, baring his fangs savagely as he delivered the nasty, chakra-guided surge straight into the man's back, hoping to sound as badass as possible and not like an academy student who had barely seen the sight of battle before.

The Inuzuka was smart, having to change the way he is used to battle, to something different. The blood clone that he had hit with the electric current poofed, leaving a sinister cloud of blood hanging in the air for a few seconds before dissipating into nothingness.

If he were to smell where the last two targets were, he would find that they more or less, stayed in the general area of where they were. Same place, as where he smelled them from before. One still in the area in which they were both once at. And the other one still at the clan houses. He also caught Ziren's scent and could tell that he was making his way to the one that was close to the location where they first rendezvoused.

The Medical Chief landed down to where the one was, not the one that is at the Clan Houses. He brought up his metal arm, and a projectile was shot out of it. Water. The jet hit the blood clone, making it poof, with blood. It then dissipated away. Ziren then made his way to the one in the clan house, most likely will arrive the same time that Kohaku will be there.

The criminal looked side to side, not knowing that he was being tracked. Ziren landed on top of a building and watched from afar, seeing how the Inuzuka will tackle the situation. Now that he is here too. He was curious, if he will still be cautious, or just tackle the man, now able to know there is one left.

The Chigokai let out a small yawn and waited, listening for the Inuzuka's blood flow, along with his dog's.

Kohaku couldn't help but like ever-so slightly disheartened when he saw the clone poof into a fine, red, electrically charged mist. Shiromaru let out a couple of encouraging barks to tell him that this was probably really good news, because they still had the scent of the last one and by process of elimination, it was really likely to be the criminal that they were after. Avoiding the dangerous splatter of blood, and still trying to stick to the three minute time limit, both Inuzuka and nin-ken broke into a savage run, following the scent and looking for the last scent. Having been caught up in the heat of battle, Kohaku had dropped to all fours and was now doing a oddly natural-looking caveman-like gallop which made him surprisingly much faster than he would normally be on two legs. Shiromaru was having no trouble keeping up either, despite his little legs.

Now that there was one left, Ziren-sensei was likely to be watching intently which made him not want to mess this up all the more. Catching up to the scent, Kohaku prepared to attack the man in the same manner he had his clones. He got to two legs mid-run, grabbing the metal bar from his pouch again and, once close, thrusting it into the mans back, having made the appropriate hand signs to charge it full of incapacitating electricity, not giving him even a moment to think about what was going on. Shiromaru stayed back, not wanting to get shocked from attacking the man, or risk being affected by any of his blood jutsu. The Inuzuka likewise made sure to stay well back after delivering the nasty charge into the man's body.

Both Inuzuka and nin ken quickly got back as soon as the attack was done, looking around quickly to find where Ziren-sensei was hiding; the smell of blood was overpowered and his teacher always had the weird metallic smell accompanying him, much like the criminal and his clones did. He knew he was around here somewhere, and he certainly hoped he'd do something to intervene in case the man he'd just delivered an artificial lightning strike into, fought back.

"Sensei? He's down! I'm pretty sure this is him this time!"

The Medical Chief watched quietly as the Inuzuka boy was about to show him what he would do to incapacitate the criminal.

He never really was able to see what the boy and his dog were able to do, to handle something they couldn't even touch without hurting themselves. And surprisingly, they actually did pretty well on their own part.

He raised an eyebrow when the boy produced a metal bar and hitting the man with it, following up with a nice electrocution shock. But the kid had managed to get the job done. The criminal was face down, his hair frayed all out like from those cartoons when people would get shocked. Ziren thought it was just an over exaggeration in comic kids shows, but apparently he was wrong.

The Chigokai jumped down from where he was and stood in front of the little kid. He used his real hand, his right hand, to ruffle the boy's hair. "Nice job! Tridio, thank you for volunteering to help out with this."

The 'criminal' looked up at the duo, and said, "Uh huh." He then proceeded to face plant, while already laying down, on the ground.

Ziren turned to Kohaku. "This, was actually all a test, to see how well you understood at adapting to situations. Now, as I remember, the two most used styles of taijustsu that you favored was unarmed and slashing. Unable to do this, with the very possible threat of hurting yourself along with the enemy, you resorted to something I haven't seen in you. Lightning chakra."

Ziren held out his hand, making a sphere of chakra. It started to rotate and spin faster. "This, right here, is Rasengane. Now, it is a very special ninjustu, because it can be ither elements, other than nonelemental. Like water." The sphere turned slightly blue, and began to liquify. Earth." The sphere turned all muddy, and then it hardened more until it actually looked like a rock that was perfectly rounded. "And wind." the sphere imploded on itself, making only gusts if winds be present in this sphere the Medical Chief is holding in his hand.

"I do not yet possess the power of lightning or fire, but what I'm getting at, is that you have to be ready for anything. Believe me, if you really too much on something, and someone figures you out, they can use your own style of fighting against you. And that could be a dangerous play, if done right."

He then turned to walk away. "Well, I think you would be ready soon for a Genin exam. I wish I can help and get your proctor, but I might be on some dangerous missions soon. So I can just put faith in whoever your proctor is, and put faith in you, of putting what you learned, to a much bigger scale of a test.
