There was much he had learned in such a short period of time. His class with Shin sensei was eye-opening for him. He learned a little bit about Genjutsu, while being trained on the art of physical combat, taijutsu.
The senpai utilized a genjutsu to allow the students to practice their taijutsu, and that’s what had gotten the Senju interested in both. He had heard stories and knew from his own adept abilities that Senju were masters of ninjutsu. Actually, the lore had been passed along that some of the greatest Senju warriors were masters at all three phases of shinobi combat: ninjutsu, taijutsu and genjutsu.
This is what Nazo wanted. He wanted to rival that of the greats, though he knew it would take time and persistent effort to get to that point. He knew that he would have to continue to struggle day in and day out, not only with his physical wellbeing, but also with his mind and mental capacity to become as great as the shinobi of present and old.
He knew now if he had gone back to the academy to take another class he wouldn’t be as green as he was the first time. He now had a few missions under his belt. Bingo book captures that tested his skills in tracking and combat. Yet he was hungry for more. As he sat atop the roof in a pretzel legged stance he stared out into the great auburn Suna sky over the countless sand dunes. The heat that penetrated his very core felt amazing, almost regenerative.
The thought of the nature of his advanced element, mokuton (wood), being able to suck in the sunlight and continue to thrive and grow made him feel as though naturally he could do the same. He didn’t have any wounds to heal but he knew from watching spars in the dojo designated area for the Senju main branch that the clansmen with the bloodline of the ancient Senju’s had the ability to heal themselves. He felt like he now understood how to use this ability also, although he wasn’t in a situation where he needed to or was able to put his theory of how the jutsu worked into practice.
