It had been just a few weeks, if not a month or more since he'd entered the village. Living in the crowded but solemn atmosphere of Sousuke's home was difficult. It didn't take long for him to figure out that the melancholy attitude was due to a missing child. Apparently, one of his cousins had adopted a boy by the name of Makeinu. The child ended up being passed around during this particular cousin's capture, and then ran off on his own. The foster mother went by the name of Shiori, and Jin'ichi himself hadn't met her due to the solitude she appeared to seek in absence of what was her's. The description of the child chipped away at Jin's conscience, hearkening back to the battle with the possessed boy in the wilds before he'd reached Sunagakure.[url=http://www.ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?p=213704#p213704 said:Admin/Councilor Approval[/url]"]Mission Name: Splintering Cells
Mission Type: Self Modded Solo
Mission Rank: D-Rank
Objective: Infiltrate a street gang in Soon's Haven to gather intelligence on the group. Some of Sunagakure's more well-paying clientele have been feeling neglected due to events with the Cabal. Less than able to spare their best to deal with low-level crooks, Jin'ichi is sent out to handle and perhaps rebuild relations. This reconstruction of relations with some of Sunagakure's Soon's Haven clientele depends on the destruction of this street gang. Jin's test in stealth and discretion will be to do it from the inside out.
His gut was telling him that he'd walked into something bigger than what he came for. How could he even begin to broach the subject? His relationship with the Takahashi clan was barely a truth, having been raised so far away. It wasn't as if his father had been an honored member, or anything more than a traitorous crook. Sousuke came from a line that served the Kazekage, the respectable Main House and all their triumphs. He'd heard whispers of Shiori's medical talents, and then there were many more such as a tattooed academy teacher. Jin was little more than a mongrel sharing a few drops of blood with the pedigrees. If the boy he'd killed happened to be the one his family was looking for, things could get complicated really fast. He couldn't let things like that get in his way, not when he had a man to kill that surpassed him in every way, both good and bad.
A distraction from the impending consequences of his actions came in the form of a mission. With all the top dogs busy on the case of the Cabal, local gangs were getting out of control. Sunagakure was a Shinobi Village, not the law or some peacekeeping agency. However; order in their very own home was coming into question and their clientele in Soon's Haven were being harassed. Seeing as how the reports made no mention of the trouble makers being anything more than run-of-the-mill thugs, Jin would be sent to handle it despite his Genin status. He'd already proven capable of street level jobs after dealing with some extortionists. As he exited the village quickly, he told himself he'd learn more about the missing child and whether or not he'd really killed someone dear to his own kin. For now, it was show time.
[D-Rank | 4 Hours (240 Minutes) to leave village.]
