Upon receiving her instructions for the week's mission, the redheaded tomboy let out a very strange sound – somewhere between a scream and a squeal – before jumping up and down a few times and clapping her hands excitedly. This earned her a few strange looks from the citizens around her, but she simply scowled at them before taking off at a run toward her shop.
As soon as she could see her shop, her emerald eyes searched the area in front of it for the box that was promised in her mission assignment. Sure enough, a medium sized crate was on the ground beside the entrance to Suchiru Arms looking very...normal. However, this was one of the most exciting packages the young master blacksmith had ever received.
Her speed increased until she skidded to a stop beside the box where she quickly – with hands that were shaking slightly – unlocked the door to her shop. Squatting down to slip her fingers under the box, she lifted the heavy crate and carried it inside where she set it down on the counter. “Um...um....crowbar.” She said, stumbling over her words and thoughts in her excitement, before running into the backroom that was her workshop to grab the necessary tools to open the container.
Returning to the front, she popped the lid off the box and let out another fan girl squeal at the sight of the rare and precious metal bars that were laying in the crate. “Oh....I've always wanted to work with Shadow Steel.....” she whispered to herself, gently picking up one of the bars from the box and turning it over slowly in her hands.
“Okay....work.” Amy shook her head, trying to concentrate on the fact that she had instructions on what to make with the bars and not on all the wonderful things she could create for herself. Sighing a little, she placed the bar back into the box and instead picked up the sheet of instructions that were tucked into the side. She was to create an axe, and there were very clear specifications on what it was to look like, and the size and everything else. Sighing again as she read over the instructions she made a promise to herself to purchase a few bars of the rare metal for herself to work with.
Smiling again, however, as she was extremely happy for the privilege to work with such fine steel, she locked her front door, putting up her sign that told her patrons that she would be closed for the day, then carried the crate back to her workshop to begin.
Already having done a fair amount of research into the rare alloy, she dove right into smelting the bars down. The whole smithing process took her all the way into late afternoon before she moved to the side of the room with her grinding stone and polishing tools and began the finishing touches on the fine piece of weaponry she was very happy to create.
