Her mission had been given. No longer was her code name Thorn as a new one was given. Elfin. The female ANBU gave herself half a day to plan out how to go about this. There was no point prowling about the Grand Palais during the day so no matter what she'd have to wait for the cover of darkness. Thinking about her past missions she remembered the missing chakra crystals which she had yet to investigate. Already it was apparent they were being stolen. But by who? If she could track down those doing the stealing maybe it would lead her to the one responsible? It was worth a shot.
As the time drew closer Kumiko dressed within her ANBU uniform. Everything about her uniform spoke of the typical Sunan style. Her only twist was the tattered red cloak draped about her shoulder. Of course she also adorned her mask, fashioned to look like a wolf in black and red. With everything ready it was time to get the show on the road. Elfin would summon the shadows to her, dispersing and seemingly vanishing into thin air. Her slender frame would materialize upon the roof top of one of the many homes lining this small darkened street within Sietch Zensunna. There she waited. And waited. And waited. Stake outs were something for the patient. Those craving immediate action were not suited for this. But sometimes good things came to those who wait. After what seemed like hours masked within shadows, a man crept along. Now this man seemed very out of place. One could tell none of these homes belonged to him. His entire demeanor screamed this. Much like she expected the man walked up to the lamp post, looked about to make no one was around, then stole the chakra crystal from within the lamp. Quickly the man smuggled the crystal into his pocket after wrapping it in some sort of fabric. Then, just as quickly as he stole it, he was off. This was Elfin's cue. From the roof tops she slinked from shadow to shadow in pursuit. Before long Elfin found herself deep within Grand Palais territory, watching as the man ventured into a large warehouse. Scaling the rooftops would no longer suit her purposes. Waiting for the guard to round the corner the ANBU leapt down without a sound. The moment her feet touched the ground she scurried towards the side window. Peeking over the ledge she'd see the man she followed, along with a heavily guarded man surveying what looked like crates being stacked atop each other. This still wasn't good enough. She needed a name. She needed something to take back to her captain. Luck must have been on her side for a few of the guards left through the front of the warehouse. In a near sprint, Elfin ghosted the side wall until she neared the corner. By then their conversation was easily overheard.
" Ya man. This is the easiest gig i've had in a while. What, all we gotta do is steal some stupid crystals. I bet those idiots don't even realize they bein' stolen. " This first guard boasted. The next pushed him in jest as he pulled out a smoke. " Dunno why boss man Rock needs 'em. Don't even think they be stayin' here. Not my problem though. They only pay me to guard this shit hole. " That was all Elfin needed to know. In a few steps one of the guards came to round the corner. Just as he rounded it nothing would be there. Elfin had already merged with the shadows.
