Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The girl often dons formal attire, her caretakers once suggesting it could assist with fitting better into society. This also aided in concealing her low-class status. Now, it's become more of conditioning.
The initial trademark one would surely take notice of is the girl's abnormal, golden irises. This results in her gazes appearing more intense and enigmatic. Not taking into account she already holds a native tendency of unreservedly staring at others to begin with; in an unsettling way, reminiscent of how a scientist might towards their intriguing experiment. Two ring patterns further decorate them to the pupil.
This feature is a stark carryover from her Ancient roots, as if something supernatural lies hidden beneath skin. Which has often proved unsettling for many, and served as further resource for persecution.
Mandarin red locks extend slightly past the shoulders, two long bangs hanging on either side, framing her features. The back is often braided in a loose ponytail.

Mental Description:

Goki is an individual of eccentric nature. Not in regards to a single trait, but in that every action or statement feels to hold bizarre undertones. An instinctual understanding that something is just 'off' with her, despite exactly what being a challenge to depict through words; like one breed attempting to assimilate with another, yet never quite perfecting despite holding similar appearances.
The girl appears affable enough; polite and attentive even. Yet, perpetually in some unseen realm of imagination: Viewing her surroundings in some painted reality—whether for better or worse.
Interestingly enough, whether ascribed to temperament or empathic abilities, Goki proves indiscriminative towards most individuals, untaken aback by even the most self-evidently mad. Every human is a fascinating study; creatures of eternal discovery, never dull.
Goki also proves an avid practitioner of a special technique she refers to as 'brain massaging'. Attributing all internal complications and frustrations to stem from what she's coined as 'brain worms' and 'brain knots'.

History:

The first recount Goki's adoptive caretakers might provide you, would be that of an infant disposed in the dumpster, left to starve and rot. Upon her swaddle wraps, elaborated letters smeared in red: 'Abomination'
Despite the discrimination against hybrids, unable to produce a child of their own, the impoverished couple took Goki in as their own. Origins aside: Bizarre mannerisms, slow learning, and poverty all proved rich resources for bullying towards her alone. Moreover, the child demonstrated no spectacular ability, yet proved too unusual to fit in; an unfortunate phenomenon of every disadvantage, yet none of the blessings.
A club blow to the head one particular bullying day would send her straight to the hospital into a week-long coma. Devastated parents would discover upon her reawakening that previous oddities now appeared further accompanied by true madness, attributed to brain injury. The first awakening words from Goki's mouth claimed ability to 'smell' her parents' concern—and her doctor's greed.
Needless to say, she hadn't won any favors from that doctor afore he'd no sooner send her out without bothering to investigate potential treatment. Some time after, she'd further report cases of what she describes as 'brain ticking'. Allowing her to 'hear' certain psyche abnormalities, depending on the tick pace and intensity; reminiscent of broken watches. Too poor to seek treatment, however, the girl's new abnormalities had no solution but to be left all but addressed.
Needless to say, her parents elected it best to continue education through homeschooling from there on, rather than returning her to the source of her abuse. Still, common sense understood that, by her very nature, Goki was unlikely to progress very far in society—if at all; education or not. Something had to change.
Unironically, a friend of her father, one having joined the shinobi forces to dig his own way from poverty and provide for his family, suggested: "Suna's full of weirdos like her. She'll be right at home."
Thus, her parents would enroll her into the Academy, amongst the melting pot of Kaze no Kuni's bizarrities. Late enrollment would guarantee her often the oldest amongst recruits, yet, eventually, she'd manage into Geninhood. And thus, her story begins.

Hello, friends...

The Soul Court:
Not every court boasted captivating authority over elements. Certain authorities proved less bedazzling, yet no less formidable. One such court now serves as progenitors of what the shinobi world modernly refers to as Genjutsu, and what ANBU utilize as interrogation techniques.

The Fixers
Trauma, particularly PTSD attributed to the endless warfare between courts and humans alike at the time, had not proved uncommon. Mental wounds are far more difficult to treat than physical. And for many, they inflict lifelong damage. This proved alarmingly troublesome for a military with limited numbers; as an experienced and skilled commander suffering trauma too severe to function, was the same as no commander at all. Yet, the Court’s preparation process was one long and demanding afore participants were deemed battle-ready. For this reason, focus was instead shifted towards fortifying and fostering the numbers already available. Thus, the role of the ‘Fixer’ was born.
Fixers treated the psyche deeper than any modern psychiatrist of today could ever dream to achieve—for they addressed the very soul, the seat of emotions. This role was one of exceptional difficulty, however, demanding perfect delicacy; for the mind is too intricately woven to forgive carelessness. A single alteration could either alleviate a lifetime of suffering—or inadvertently inflict worse—irreparably.
Their usefulness also extended into unlocking inner potential. Unclotting and removing the blockages, be they mental or spiritual, that inhibited full growth. This proved exceedingly valuable particularly for soldiers struggling mastery and control over their new individual gifts.

Following her accident, Goki awoke dormant abilities from this role to a degree. This is the odd practice she refers to as ‘Brain Massaging’. Her capabilities in comparison to her ancestors, however, currently rest in primitive, infantile form.

The Interrogators
Able to detect the subtle fluctuations exhibited by the psyche during fabrication—members of this role made for unrivaled combatants against the art of deception. And, as one might guess—torturers. For these soulreading gifts further allowed them to determine which methods proved most persuasive against the human psyche—and which proved ineffective.
Many Genjutsu techniques today originate from what was once referred to as ‘Soul Touching’. Though, the variegated offshoots of modern times have lost much of their potency. like a strong spirit heavily diluted throughout the centuries. Perhaps, in regards to morality, for the better. In Ancient times, the Soul Court’s emotional prowess allowed them to inflict mental torture of horrific, many might even say, inhumane degree.

Additions for the 'Soul Court' were added after History to better explain Goki's Hybrid origins and ties. You guys can tell me if it flies or not, and I'll adjust accordingly. Thanks ^^

Approved!

We are working on getting more Court related information out there, but as is the case with all of the Conceptual-based Courts, the Soul Court would be a "Lesser Court" in the Ancient hierarchy (not telling you this to lessen anything, but to simply provide more context in the event we ever do anything involving more Ancients and Hybrids in the future or if you were looking to place a chip on your character's shoulder).
