Name: Shinjuo, Masakano
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Rank: Genin
General Description: Masakano is a rather determined young lady, her personality shines bright as she strives to better herself in the shinobi arts. Brilliant amber eyes will be the first thing you see of the girl, they pair nicely with the blemish free caramel skin that encases her body. For a teenager, she stands abnormally tall, at around five foot three inches and her body carries a good amount of muscle. As for her attire the girl wears loose black slacks, a tight compression shirt that hugs her adolescent torso, and boots that match the neutral colors. Often during the grueling winter months in the Cloud Village, she will wear a bright orange jacket over her normal wear; Masakano grew up in the frigid mountains and her attire shows her adaption to the climate. Though always cheery, periods of self-doubt will cloud the young kunoichi’s mind. She tries her best to remain upbeat and cheerful to her fellow shinobi.
History: Disappointment after disappointment. Masakano has lived a life full of it. From the day she was born she had already disappointed her father Takata, who was a splendid shinobi of Kumogakure. The man could not hide his dismay at the thought of not baring a son. Her mother on the other hand was a simple woman, she spent her days working in a local shoe shop, fitting all of the great shinobi with the best in foot wear. Though the couple tried and tried they were unable to have any more offspring after Masa; this created a rift between the couple, eventually leading to the separation of the two of her parents. After the separation the girl bonded more with her mother, and grew further distant from her father. She craved nothing more than to be a shinobi of the village and prove him wrong in wanting a son. He only wanted his name to be carried on through an heir, and he was one who felt kunoichi would never amount to much in terms of skill.
Despite this, once of age, Masakano pleaded with her mother to allow her to join the academy and once allowed she realized how horrible she was in everyday shinobi abilities. She had subpar ninjutsu, and taijustu and quickly fell behind her classmates in the subjects. Most of her classmates were sons and daughters of renowned shinobi like her, however they had much support behind their decisions to carry on the torch. Even after spending a few years in the academy and watching her classmates surpass her and graduate she was still there, oddly taller, and out of place within the group. Her father’s disdain began to grow, she was embarrassing him in the worst way by failing.
Every year a new class would come, and Masakano would lag behind despite trying her hardest. She began to feel depressed, however outward expressions would betray that. Smiling all the way she kept trying, and kept training. Her body would push itself and her mind would absorb all it could. The girl’s mother passed away of a rare disease during her years of the academy, this seemed to be the tipping point that the girl needed to strive for the stars. Masa graduated to a full-fledged genin after these events. Although she felt immense happiness in her success she still encountered the displeasure from her father. So, she strove, and kept working every day; her thirst for knowledge and skills never quenched. She lived solely by the nindo that she would best her father one day, she would make him regret the things he told her. He would take back all the negativity he put into her life and support her as one of Kumogakure’s best kunoichi. Taking it a step at a time, the girl would grow and grow closing the gap between her and her comrades with each day. Now that she was moving up to par, she need only to surpass her fellow genin and move onto better things.
