Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

"The clan is two separate branches, the main branch, which lives and operates in Kumogakure, and the minor branch which lives and operates on the ancestral lands of Raimei No Seika in The Heartland of Kaminari no Kuni. The main branch is matriarchal where the minor branch is patriarchal, but anyone marrying into the family takes the family name, regardless of gender. Before Academy
Tsukino Akane was born in a small village, or town, she can't really remember it. Akane got her name from her red hair, her parents saw it as a fitting name. Her parents moved to Kumogakure soon after her birth, and that's where she grew up. Her parents were carefree, but kept on the low. They did nothing impressive, they really didn't do anything special, which made Akane feel bored most of the time. She seeked adventure, but could barely make it out the front door. Her parents were not wealthy, but they were not poor either. They lived in a nice little two bedroom apartment. When Akane was younger it seemed like it was so big, as she grew older, she noticed how small it actually is. Making her anxious to get out more often. When Akane was about 9, her parents finally gave in, and decided to go on hikes once a week. This was enough for little Akane. One day during their family hike, Akane's father had misplaced his foot, and slid down a steep hill. He was badly injured, and died from internal bleeding at home. Her mother became secluded, and distant after her fathers death. Akane won't say it, but she feels at fault for her fathers death. Their hikes stopped, and it became in baringly quiet. After school each day, Akane would come home, and either practice the flute, or clean until everything was perfectly aligned, and sparkling. She was becoming bored of the same thing everyday. He mother didn't talk much, if not at all anymore, so she felt pretty lonely. Akane looked into things she could do, different jobs. Maybe at a shop? She already aligned things at home, she didn't want to put customer service into it. Maybe at a restaurant? If she wasn't cleaning, she would cook? She really had no skill in cooking, even if it came later on, everything she cooked tasted like plastic. Akane searched for something that she believed she could do for the rest of her life, and it would still be fun by the end of it. Finally she came to the conclusion that she would become a ninja. Fighting? Training? That sounded fun, and challenging. At least things would not be the same thing over and over again.

Throughout Akane's early academy days, she spent learning new Jutsu's and discovering new friends. Her first class was with Kitsune. They learned about Jutsu's. There she met Osu, emi, Riku, and Kunashi, some people she now calls friends. In the beginning she was not very self confident, and due to an incident while out in town where she nearly got mugged, she developed a fear of scary looking men, who could be thugs. As the days went on she slowly brought up her strength through training. Though she was starting to feel stronger, her fears would not die down.

One day while she was walking through the Saki District, she felt paranoid, she felt like someone was following her. It did not help the night was falling. Soon she could not handle it anymore, and she took off running. It didn't take long for her to bump into someone, and that someone was Ri. She bumped into him and made him drop his alcohol, and tobacco by accident. He yelled at her, and then told her to go into the ally. He looked scary to her, but she felt bad after bumping into him. Soon she found out he was not a bad guy, and even shot down three thugs who followed them into the alley. To make up for what she did, she offered to buy dinner. Before they found a place, a Chuunin caught up with them, Shin, and tagged along. Akane didn't notice the air tense up when he came around as Ri seemed to not like Shin at all. During dinner, an accident happened that made Akane trip into a table that three thugs, and their madam sat at. They did not hesitate to threaten hostility, but Shin and Ri caught their attention before they did anything to her. Confidence sparked inside Akane, and her fear seemed to melt away. She stood up to the three much bigger men, though it wasn't really her that scared them off, it did boost her confidence. Throughout the rest of the night, they spoke, and ate dinner, then went their separate ways.

Soon after she found her way to another class. Thats where she met Junko, and decided that he would be her mentor. While there she met Yoshi, and greeted Kunashi, Riku, and Osu. This class was all about Taijutsu, Akane knew some Taijutsu, and Kenjutsu, which she planned on using during this class. She learned of Nintaijutsu, which was a mix of Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu. She wanted to learn how to do that as well as become a mednin. As the class went on, she discovered they would be actually fighting each other, so this would be her first real fight. She had never experienced battle before, or any kind of injury. Junko brought out a crate full of weapons, and he told all the students they may choose a weapon and keep it. Akane was the first one to choose, and she chose a Ninjato with a black blade, and red handle. She felt at ease with that weapon, as if it came natural to her. Her first target was a clone of Junko's. She choose to charge it head on, to test out her new weapon. She was delivered a hard hit to the chest, and she couldn't remember if she actually landed a hit. Before she new it, Kunashi took out that clone for her. After the rest of the class attacked the clones, Junko demonstrated a pretty terrifying Nintaijutsu move. It scared Akane a little bit, but she soon got over it. After that the class was paired together to have one on one fights. Akane was paired with Yoshi. She was pretty confident in her strength, and was able to sweep him off his feet, and avoid her arms being blocked. But the battle ended short as Yoshi had thrown a kunai at her and cut her arm wide open. It was the first time she had ever seen her own blood, and a gash that big. It put her into sock and left her out of the battle.

[fontsize="12"]The oldest and most prodigious clan originating from the Hidden Cloud Village, The Santaru are a proud people with the unique ability to control the weather at will. Long have they been feared by others because of this trait, yet, few can stand against their mighty bolts of energy they summon from the sky. Though they are attuned to storms in general, by far they have a much more strengthened affinity to Lightning and electricity of all types, their eyes brightening with an electric neon glow whenever their powers are in use. Subconsciously they tend to emit unnoticeable electromagnetic waves, enough to leave the hair on your neck stand up and leave goosebumps on those nearby. Yet, when angered, their powers become so great, that often it is beyond their ability to control.

Storm Manipulation - Passive
The Santaru have an innate affinity to storms, each member having volts of energy coursing through their body constantly as if generated similar to blood. Naturally, they possess the ability to both generate lightning instinctively and fluidly manipulate it into deadly arcs of energy with little trouble.

Rank 1: May convert Lightning and Water Jutsu into Storm by paying an additional 20% Chakra Cost.
Rank 2: May convert Lightning and Water Jutsu into Storm by paying an additional 10% Chakra Cost.
Rank 3: May convert Lightning and Water Jutsu into Storm at no extra cost.

Notes:
- Partial hits from jutsu converted into storm are treated 1 rank higher.
- The Santaru automatically has access to the Storm element.
- All techniques used with this are treated as Storm element.

While generating vast amounts of Lightning is one trick to the Santaru's ability, one would be a fool to compare their Electrical abilities to another. The Santaru are able to increase the voltage of any electricity they wish, using their own body and the chakra as a electrical turbine to create shocking, and destructive, bolts of energy.

Surging Presence - Passive<i></i>
Have you ever touched a Santaru before? Those who have would immediately notice that one is guaranteed to feel a spark of electricity upon contact, often enough to leave a blister or after twitch. This is due to the fact that as the Santaru's strength increases, their very blood becomes a source of electric energy, their chakra flowing with volts of energy. In a sense, the Santaru are living turbines each with a high voltage. It is common for electronic devices to malfunction in the presence of a Santaru.

Rank 1:
- Unarmed strikes against the Santaru return 50 storm damage per .5AP used.
- Remaining in contact with the Santaru deals 35 storm damage per .5 AP spent in contact.
- Weapon Strikes against the Santaru return 100 storm damage per .5AP used.

Rank 2:
- Unarmed strikes against the Santaru return 100 storm damage per .5AP used.
- Remaining in contact with the Santaru deals 75 storm damage per .5 AP spent in contact.

Storm Call - Storm Jutsu<i></i>
Though they are more than capable of using their own Lightning powers to generate their own volts of Lightning to strike down their targets, the Santaru possess the ability to change the weather by altering the patterns of electrons in their electromagnetic Aura. This allows them to create storms which rapidly begin to unleash their wrath upon the those stupid enough to invoke anger the Santaru.

Rank 1: Summons a storm with mild intensity that sends two bolts of lightning at a target of the Santaru's choice every round at 300 damage per bolt.
Rank 2: Summons a storm with greater intensity that sends three bolts of lightning at a target of the Santaru's choice every round at 300 damage per bolt and +.5 Ninjutsu accuracy.
Rank 3: Summons a black storm with dangerous intensity that sends three bolts of lightning at a target of the Santaru's choice every round at 600 damage per bolt and +1 Ninjutsu accuracy.

Special Action: Instead of striking a target, they user may strike themselves to heal half as much of the damage.


Costs:
Rank 1: 1 AP; 200 chakra to initiate, 90 Cp/Rnd.
Rank 2: 1.5 Ap; 300 chakra to initiate, 140/round to maintain

Storm Control - Storm Jutsu
Though knowing which patterns of electromagnetic fields produce what result is a difficult task, eventually through trial and error the Santaru begin to realize the full potential they possess; their abilities aren't limited to simply summoning storms of lightning, but they can create nearly any change in weather that they desire. Eventually, this becomes to simple that they almost do it subconsciously, allowing them to create gusts of wind, cause rain, snow and even hail to fall from the sky with a simple thought.

Rank 1: Calls wind, rain or snow.
  • Wind reduces the accuracy of all ranged/projectile attacks by -1.
  • Rain is treated as Rain Dance (Rank 1).
  • Snow chills to reduce dodge by 1 and ups the chakra cost of everyone but the user by 2%
Rank 2: Calls wind, rain, snow or hail.
  • Wind reduces the accuracy of all ranged/projectile attacks by -1.
  • Rain is treated as Rain Dance (Rank 1).
  • Snow chills to reduce dodge by 2 and ups the chakra cost of everyone but the user by 4%
  • Hail deals 360 ice damage/round to everyone but the user.

lightning coursing through their veins, a Santaru is able to find, with a little practice, that they are able to sense and control the electrons in the area around them by altering their electromagnetic energy. This gives them the ability of magnetism, allowing them to control any metallic object at will assuming they aren't too heavy. With a glow of their eyes, any metallic object nearby the Santaru because a suitable weapon.

Rank 1: The user can magnetically control their currently equipped weapon to strike a target dealing 1,010 Damage.
Rank 2: The user can magnetically control their currently equipped weapon to strike a target dealing 1,265 Damage.
Rank 3: The user can magnetically control their currently equipped weapon to strike a target dealing 1,875 Damage.

EMP - Electrical Field Jutsu<i></i>
Though they constantly emit low frequency electromagnetic energy, the Santaru can easily up the voltage within their turbine-like bodies, and force this invisible energy outwards as an Electromagnetic Pulse, or EMP for short. This is both offensive and defensive, the burst of energy shooting outwards around them and pushing back those with electrical force, even causing the ground to course with lightning of the after effects.

Rank 1: Radiates outwards 10ft and causes 1,400 Damage and 10ft knockback on contact with living beings at -2 Accuracy.
Rank 2: Radiates outwards 15ft and causes 1,760 Damage and 15ft knockback on contact with living beings at -1.5 Accuracy.
Rank 3: Radiates outwards 20ft and causes 2,100 Damage and 20ft knockback on contact with living beings at -1 Accuracy.

Sword Of Oblivion - Storm Jutsu<i></i>
An advanced technique of the Santaru clan, this allows them to condense the electrons around them into a sword-like shape, which upon being infused with their electrical chakra, generate into a blade of shocking electrical volts, the bolts so bright that it slightly blinds those who look at the user directly.

Rank 1: User may create a weapon out of electricity. The user gains +2 Dodge while equipoed with this weapon.
Rank 2: For every Lightning Based Jutsu the user is maintaining, they gain a -2% on the maintain cost. (IE: Maintaining 3 Lightning based jutsu while equipped with this weapon gives the maintained jutsu -6% on their maintain cost.)
Rank 3: Lightning Based jutsu may be channeled through this weapon.

Cost: 2 Ap, 1200 Cp to create, 400 Cp/Rnd.

Notes:
- Weapon specification must follow the Weapon Creation rules.
- Taijutsu Damage caused by this weapon may be buffed by Lightning based buffs as well as physical buffs.
- This weapon cannot cause bleeding or suppression by any means.
- This weapon cannot be augmented by any means.

Updraft - Storm Jutsu<i></i>
A storm technique performed yet again by altering the electrons in the air, this invokes a powerful gust of wind that smashes into targets with spontaneous force, and launches them into the sky with its sheer force. Perhaps this technique started rumors of the Santaru being able to fly, though one may wonder how safe using it on oneself may be.

Rank 1: Updraft sends a 20x20 area 20ft up into the air, causing them 1,440 damage at +2.5 Accuracy from the brute force of the wind and slamming the ground.
Rank 2: Updraft sends a 20x20 area 20ft up into the air, causing them 1,800 damage at +3 Accuracy from the brute force of the wind and slamming the ground.
Rank 3: Updraft sends a 20x20 area 20ft up into the air, causing them 2,160 damage at +3.5 Accuracy from the brute force of the wind and slamming the ground.

Costs:
Rank 1: 2.5AP; 650 Cp
Rank 2: 2.5AP; 820 Cp/Target.
Rank 3: 2.5AP; 980 Cp/Target

Dark Tempest - Storm Jutsu<i></i>
The Santaru's full potential can only be unleashed when they experience intense emotions, most commonly when fearing that they are in danger. Once they reach that limit though...their powers become so powerful, so destructive, that they can no longer maintain control of their own abilities, unleashing a storm that spreads havoc across the environment, and even threatens the very Santaru which conjured it up, becoming a threat to themselves and all around them.

Rank 1: Every round four lightning bolts attempt to strike every player, including the user, for 600 damage each. The bolts damage the user but hit at -2 Accuracy. All possible effects of Storm Control Rank 3 are in play and will start to effect the user in one round.
Rank 2: Every round five lightning bolts attempt to strike every player, including the user, for 600 damage each. The bolts damage the user but hit at -3 Accuracy. All possible effects of Storm Control Rank 3 are in play and will start to effect the user in two rounds. Large funnel clouds form thin tornadoes that have a 30% chance per person to throw people 30ft into the air, giving them -1 dodge for the round. The user has a 20% to be tossed which increases by 10% every round till it caps out at 30%.
Rank 3: Every round six lightning bolts attempt to strike every player, including the user, for 600 damage each. The bolts damage the user but hit at -3 Accuracy. All possible effects of Storm Control Rank 3 are in play and will start to effect the user in two rounds. Large funnel clouds form thin tornadoes that have a 50% chance per person to throw people 50ft into the air, giving them -2 Dodge for the round. The user has a 20% to be tossed which increases by 10% every round till it caps out at 50%.

Cost: 3 AP; 3000 Chakra

- Storm Call and Control must be in play before this can be used.
- Santaru must be at or under 50% HP to use this.
- Lasts five rounds, cannot be canceled.

She is often quiet, since her husbands death. Before Her husbands death she was energetic, and often inspired to be a musician. She was very protective of Akane, and wished for her daughter to live a peaceful life as a musician as well. After her husbands death though she went into a depression, and was no longer apart of Akane's life it seemed, until recently, she had started to wake up. She feels regret for leaving Akane alone, but Akane had already grown up, and she had shut her eyes to see it. Oka stays home still, living off of the savings her husband left his family. History
Tsukino Oka was born in Kumo, but her family moved to Raiden's eye where she grew up. She aspired to be an entertainer, she learned how to sing, dance, and play various musical instruments. She was 16 when she met her now deceased Husband, Fudo. She did not know much about him at all, but she fell in love with his fiery red hair, and his yellow eyes. She dropped everything for him, and they hit it off very well. She married him without her parents permission at 17. Her parents disowned her, but she couldn't stay away from him. They lived in Raiden's eye for a year, until she had Akane, and they decided to move to Kumo were they would raise Akane. eight, to nine years of living in Kumo, Fudo died in a hiking accident. He left his family with plenty of money to spend, Oka really does not know what clans he was apart of, she knows very little of his Blood line, and she was left heart broken. She became distant, and quiet, her ember faded. Recently she has began to awaken again, but she is still very quiet.

History:
Kazumi was born in Kumo, where her clan, Wakahisa, takes residence. She has a relatively big, and active family. Her clan lives in one huge house, with many rooms, as they attempt to keep the family together. Though they have lived there for a few generations... the building is fairly new as accidents happen. Kazumi is the oldest of three siblings. She has two little brothers, and she was the only one born with the Toujigikou gene as she was born with mouths on her hands. So it made her parents a little more strict on her about becoming a ninja, and showing their "Beauty" to the world. Kazumi had nothing against becoming a ninja. So thats why they names her Kazumi in the first place. "Beautiful Harmony".

She grew up with her cousins, and very close to her family. One of which she was particularly close too her cousin, Konton. They were two peas in a pod, and often trained together. She developed her art skills greatly, and was very talented in the skill, it came natural to her. THough she did not really have any motivation to become "The best" or "Proctor of the village". She was talented, but that lack of motivation is what made her seem just as good as any other academy student. Until one day while she was young, about ten, she was walking down the street with her grandfather happily. She rarely got any of his time all to herself, so this day was special to her. While they were out, they decided to take a shortcut through an ally way.

While they were walking past the back road, her grandfather noticed a woman being mugged, and beaten. He told Kazumi to stand back, as he stepped in to try to save the woman. He was able to give the woman a chance to escape, but they cut him down then ran like cowards! Kazumi ran up to her grandfather, and asked him why did he have to save that woman? He answered her with the fact that taking doesn't feel as good as giving, protecting the helpless makes the strongest people, and being able to give your life up for something you believe in is worth it. He made Kazumi promise she would fight to protect the innocent, and not for her own personal gain. With that in mind, Kazumi swore she would rid their country of the filth with her art. Easier said than done.

Kazumi really only gained her seriousness trait, and that only shows when on a mission, or when it applies. Other than the new goal, and motivation in mind, She didn't change that much. She worked harder, trained harder, and was became the top of her class. She worked hard to become better, and hone her skills. Kazumi also always pressed her new goal onto her cousin, who was like a twin to her, she always told him that they needed to protect the people. She knew she couldn't just rely on her family gift to become a great ninja, she needed to master other skills too. Her academy days were close to an end, and she was starting to feel like she was really becoming stronger.

She passed her exam with flying colors, and top of her class. This of course made her parents very proud of her. It had been two years since her grandfather died, and Kazumi had followed his words to heart. Once she became a Ninja, she worked hard to perfect everyone of her missions she was given. She often teamed up with her cousin, Konton on missions. They made the perfect team, she believed. During her days off, Kazumi worked on her taijutsu skills, and stealth skills. She wanted to be good at taijutsu fighting, as she was at making her art. She wasn't as talented with those skills as she was with her bloodline, but she worked extra hard to grow stronger in those skills. She would often talk Konton into having Taijutsu spars with her to further her skills better, and his.

Over the years Kazumi was a genin, she had been on many missions, and had done outstanding on almost all of them. She had only one failed mission, a D rank mission. She was escort for that mission, and she went solo on it. She was supposed to make sure a carriage of goods was safely delivered to a small village on the coast. So it was a little ways from Komo. She should have brought someone else along, but, she believed she was skilled enough to handle it. She set out and the first twenty miles went by smoothly. Kazumi never let her guard done, even when the merchants had to stop for a break. She never predicted what would happen next. While resting in a mountain past, that was a mixture of forest and cliffs, the group was ambushed by a very large group of bandits. They jumped out of the trees and took a hold of the goods. Kazumi focused on saving the civilians, instead of the goods. Nobody died during the mission, but everything was stolen. Kazumi returned to the village in failure, but she was happy that no one died that day.

That was Kazumi's only failed mission on record. She has made sure to be vary vigilant, and careful. She knew to never go on a mission like that solo ever again. Kazumi is fifteen now, she has grown, and is quite happy with her family and ninja lifestyle. Her Grandmother is the current head of her family, once she goes, if she goes, then Kazumi's father will be head. Kazumi knew one day, she might be the head of the family, it was a possibility. She didn't want to ever think about that after all.
