Name: Deguchi, Shinzo
Age: 8
Gender: Male
Height/Weight: 4'1" / 54 lbs
General Description: Shinzo can often be found running through the streets, quickly followed by a disgruntled old woman who tries her best to keep up with the emerald-eyed youngster. His hair a dark brown, long fringe brushed back in an effort to keep him looking presentable, however such attempts are often fruitless as his energetic personality causes his hair to appear more windswept. Somehow one or two grey feather are always present on the upper left side of his head.
Shinzo stands at four foot and one inch tall, often with a slightly cocky smirk and relaxed posture. He is fiercely competitive, though this is from his personality rather than being driven by skill. His choice of garb consists of simple black knee-length shorts and a light grey sleeveless top. These both reveal the multiple scrapes and bruises which are often scattered over his limbs, discolouring his deep ivory skin. While similar scrapes would be visible on his hands, they are instead covered by tightly laced wrappings.
History: Shinzo was born into a quiet family, the elder of two brothers, the only whisperings of importance for the Deguchi family came from the claims that some of their artwork was featured in the Konoha corporation’s tallest tower, though it’s thought these are just wild rumours with no evidence of truth. Money has always been a bit of a problem, the lack of funds often made life a little uncomfortable of Shinzo as he was growing up. Despite this, the family was never too financially insecure as both father and mother would work to bring in coin, but that was only to facilitate their own interests. Since he was a small child, Shinzo has been impatient. One could say it’s a fitting characteristic for the child of two painters who choose to spend more time on their work than they do on their children. It was Shinzo’s high energy levels and lack of interest in ‘fine art’ that caused his parents to enlist the help of his grandmother in looking after him and his younger brother. But as the years passed she became less and less able to monitor the children, and so it was decided that Shinzo was to join the academy. This was a dramatic change of pace, generations of Shinzo’s family have been artists of different callings, all with their heads deep in their work which could potentially take months to complete. It is rare that any leave Konoha except to sell their works.
The first few classes were a breeze for Shinzo, he seemed to take to the physical aspect with ease, though his lack of patience took its toll on the theory that he faced. The habit of rushing through his tasks is a hinderance for the boy, and he can often be found to seemingly give up on an aspect of his learning if he doesn’t understand it the first few times. While this may be his first year, as always Shinzo is in a rush to finish, only time will tell if he can overcome his impatience or if he can find some way to use it for his benefit.
