Name: Uragaeshi Riyoji
Desired Username: Uragaeshi Riyoji
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student
Physical Description: Plain. Riyoji could be described as nothing more than plain. His hair, neither long nor short, was a black mess atop his head which he did not know how to handle. His eyes, much like his hair, were near black and had no traits that would draw the attention of others. He wears fairly typical clothing, being only a blue jacket and either tan pants or shorts, which he alternates dependent on the weather. Apart from that, he constantly sports a scowl, as if something is always irritating him. Which something likely was. He stands at 4'6", and tries to compensate for his lack in height wherever he can.
Mental Description: Always easily irritated, abrasive, brash, any words like these could be used to describe Riyoji. He goes out of his way to insult and belittle anyone he can, as if its the only way to keep himself calm. Many view him as the village delinquent, at least those who know him do. What is a child with a dark past meant to do though? His antics have been the only way he could find to keep his own demos at bay. Ri is always willing to try something new, so long as that something isn't acceptable for someone his age.
History: For as long as Riyoji could remember, he couldn't remember his parents. From what the village dwellers had always told him, they died in an accident long before he even said his first word, so he was placed in an orphanage. The moment he knew better, however, Ri ran away from this orphanage, not wanting to believe the words of those that said his parents are dead. Every chance he could - which unfortunately wasn't many due to the need for scavenging for the thing necessary for his survival - the boy prayed that one day he would meet his parents. That by some miracle he would stumble across a pair of faces and just know. It just never seemed to happen, and his hope was quickly fading. Until one fateful night.
After a small encounter with the owner of a food stall the boy had stolen from, he found himself catching his breath deep within the labyrinth of alleyways that lined the Susukino District. As his heart rate dropped, his mouth filled with an assortment of dried meats and fruits that he managed to snag before being caught.
"Damn penny pinchers don't know how to be generous, wouldn't give food out for free if their own family was about to starve to death.." In the midst of Riyoji's whining, two figures appeared before him. Seeming to materialize from nothing. There was a strange glow about them, but his only concern was that he'd been caught. His life was over, those nincompoops from the stalls had finally managed to track him down, and now it was time for him to meet his fate. As he looked up at these figures, though, he realized there was something strange about them.. They weren't hostile. Their faces were smiling, warm. Comforting. Accepting. He wasn't sure how to react, but something clicked in his mind, and welled up in his eyes. As his vision blurred from some strange liquid, he reached out for the figures.
"Mom.. Dad.." He'd never seen these people in his life, but something about a child's mind just allows them to know. And he knew. In this very moment, he was gazing upon the two people that he wanted to see most in his life, but as his hand was about to grip their clothing, it just passed right through. His face turned from glee to shock as he fell to his knees, and more tears streamed down his face. What was going on? A warm hand touched his shoulder, and as he turned around - hoping to see his parents - all he saw was a shiny headband, and a rather displeased expression. The shinobi really had found him... "Is that how you catch kids nowadays, showing them images of their dead parents..." He snapped, trying his hardest to talk through the tears. The man that had found him - although his original task was to apprehend Riyoji - now found a new task. Seeing the state the child was in, he simply couldn't turn him in.
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about but.. Look I'm taking you with me. Not to jail, or wherever the hell they would've put a serial thief your age. But to my home, if what you say is true and your parents are dead, then I can't just let you fend for yourself on the streets." The man decided to take whatever punishment he'd be given for this decision, and took Riyoji in. He had no clue what "image" he mentioned, was, but he signed the child up for the academy. Maybe one of the teachers there would have a better idea of what was going on.
