Admittedly Aiko didn't know that her natural affinity for ice would leave her for such... Tedious requests. She was expecting to do something that showed off her ability and gave her a chance to prove herself!...But, well, this was a solo e-rank mission she got given. He was never going to really push her limits, more so doing all the tedious work no one else wanted to do. She'd glance down to the several baskets she had in her hand, giving a slightly annoyed sigh.
"Everyone's done this, right? They're not just making me do this because I'm the new girl?"
These thoughts crept into her mind, though she'd quickly shake her head and dismiss them. This place has been training shinobi for generations, surely they knew what they were doing! What exactly was Aiko doing, one may ask? Well... Delivering ice. Food preservation is quite important, along with water conservation. Though some people just simply don't have the patience to freeze ice themselves. Taking advantage of Aiko's natural cold affinity, they had her going from building to build delivering orders of ice that were requested. Such an offer only would apply to the most elite shinobi who could use the advanced ice element, they told Aiko. While this may be true, it certainly didn't help in the slightest that Aiko didn't feel like this was really testing her. Chores are chores though, and that's something she knew quite well.
A faint knock would arrive on the door of many establishments, greeting whoever may answer with a big smile. She always had that smile on, mother said she should. A frown never looks good on anyone.
"Hello! Ice delivery!"
Chimed the young Shinobi, as she placed down one of the several baskets she had. Closing her eyes, her hands move into making a sign, as the air around her would freeze over for a brief moment. The moister in the air quickly freezing up into several cubes, as Aiko spent perhaps a bit too much chakra on this order, causing her to be slightly woozy once she finished up. The shop owner quickly stabilized her, asking if the girl was okay, to which she nodded with a bright smile, despite the weariness now permeating her body. She'd thank them for requesting her services, before taking a small break to gather her chakra again.
It's at this point Aiko wondered if this was what she was being tested on. Releasing and controlling her chakra over an extended day. It certainly wasn't easy, but managing how much chakra she spent in order to create ice for those people was important. She had a deadline of the end of the day, and she still had five more locations around the Susukino district. Right, no more wasting time! Building after building Aiko would travel, making the delivery of ice to each, before finally she'd notice her lack of baskets. That was the last one! She had successfully managed to deliver all the orders of ice just before sunset. Proudly, she'd march back to report her success!...Annd to take a long, well deserved sit.
