Maru began to travel against the bitter cold, looking at his map to see just where the hell was water country located. In that fake wanted poster provided by a snarky guard on gate duty, he saw that there wasn't only lighting, wind, and fire but there was also water country as well. A village hidden in the Mist although he didn't know if they would even allow him into the country, hopefully if he managed to break in maybe he could manage to get some money while he was their. So far he haven't seen no signs of life yet. When he saw the buildings, Maru began to smirk picking up speed so he could hop over the gates but… he stopped at the environment he was greeted with…
Sitting in the crater of a dormant and now dead volcano, the city of Kirigakure is broken into many islands spread across a vast, frozen lake. The young mercenary walking through black sand that lined the crater… could this line be the actual gates to the village? The cold wind howled as Maru looked from left to right again, wondering if there was anyone around. “YO I'M ABOUT TO WALK INTO THE GATES!!!” he yelled taking small footsteps through the black sand, however he still saw no one. “Better come out or I'll come in!!” His voice echoed far…...but nobody came...
Maru decided to just go for it and walk through the black sand to head into the ruins of this city. The buildings around him were frozen in place, many crumbling from the weight of ice and many more standing as silent monoliths to attest to better times. A cold wind constantly whips through the streets of this fallen village, He haven't came into contact with anyone since he entered this village, but they did have a lot of ice sculptures OF people around here. Maru approached one of these frozen statues, admiring the detail put into them, but as he paid closer attention to it this wasn't just a statute. These were countless bodies of people frozen in place in the streets, unable to leave the village in time. Maru suddenly got the feeling of being watched so he looked around.…...but nobody came... Bored Maru decided to do a bit more exploring.
