Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

This was Kaori's first time here to the Hotsprings. She let out a sigh as she dipped into the water with only a towel wrapped around her body. She closed her eyes and let the warm water seep into her skin, feeling a therapeutic feeling breeze over her. Normally when she took baths in the past, it was for practice for a ritual. Now that all of the rituals and ceremonies were a thing of the past, she had a little bit more freedom to travel and do things on her own without the threat of being fed to a fictitious dragon god (who ended up being a demon disguised as a dragon). Unlike before, however, she also didn't have anything covering her horns. It was something that she learned to accept of herself and something she started to become proud of instead of conscious of. If people called her a monster or a demon, that's on them for being ignorant fools. Everyone else are just jealous.

She leaned back, moving her elbows up to the floor of the hotsprings, swinging her hands (which are covered with the Gloves of Divine Dragon Flame) splashing in the water a little bit. The feeling of the hot water was soothing and comforting. The only thing this bath was really missing were scented oils; lavender-scented of course. She closed her eyes and started to drift off for a moment before stirring herself awake. She looked up into the sky and a look of disappointment still written on her face every time she looked up. Now that she was free to move around the village, away from the walls of the Shrine, she still felt like a caged bird inside of this village. She was in the middle of an exam only to get ripped out of it for unforeseen reasons and now she just waits for Shiori to exceed her in strength. She still plans on handing him his ass the next time the two of them decide to fight.

Memories of Yume started to flood through her head before moving her elbows back into the water and she slouched, dipping her head into the water. After a moment,
she resurfaced, running her hands through her dark purple and pink hair. It would have been nice to have come here with someone who treated her like a human. Yomi would be a pretty close second, but nobody could have replaced the love and kindness she felt from Yume. She shook her head and shrugged off those thoughts before moving her hands up to her hair and wrapped it up into a bun, tying it into itself. As liberating as it was to be able to move around now, she had been quite bored lately.
As the village became larger and larger the more she was able to explore it, she felt that people were starting to ignore her and even outright avoid her.

Kaori let out a sigh. Even if that was the case, that people are intentionally avoiding her, it wouldn't matter to her. She spent many years living by herself before this,
so even if she had to remain by herself for the remainder of her time as a shinobi, then so be it. Either that, or she would have to find a group that would accept her for who she was and not what other people say she was. It doesn't matter at this point. She continued to soak in the hotspring, placing her elbows up level with her shoulders and stared up at the night sky, watching the stars twinkle. "Sky still looks small from down here."

*Slap... slap... slap*

Strong footsteps, bare feet against wood paneling. They were slow, heavy, growing louder. The emptiness of the hallway leading to the open-air springs echoed the sounds more and more, along with the rumbling of a voice that grew clearer and clearer as it too approached.

"... ...swear. Just like that Mother of mine to leave. I wanted no part in these talks." A woman, every word enunciated with clear elegance but undertoned with heavy stress and exhaustion. She spoke as though she were talking to someone, but there was no reply. In fact, there was clearly only one pair of footsteps in the echoing hall. Seconds later the curtain that served as the spring's door rustled, hands parting the fabric wide.

"At least Father finally talked some sense into her, I was long overdue for-- Oh!" Hayakuro cut off her words to herself as her gaze fell instantly upon the young girl that inhabited the spring. She was a little taken aback by the presence, her cheeks tinged with blush. ...That girl must have heard her talking to herself, hadn't she? A visible wince spread across Hayakuro's face; curse that habit of mine, she thought. She stood just in front of the curtain, processing her light embarrassment. Tall, fully-figured, with naught but a thin (thin) white towel barely managing to keep itself wrapped around her figure, and it only did... Well it was doing the best job it could to keep her modest. Haya's long, voluminous hair was bound tight in a bun above her head, stuck through with several jet-black hair chopsticks to keep the knot neatly in place. Uncharacteristically, her black crown was nowhere to be seen, which allowed her bangs to freely fall over her eyes.

"Do forgive me... I'm not used to sharing at this time of night." Haya addressed the girl with a giggle to dismiss her chagrin. Though normally she might be a bit more embarrassed about a stranger overhearing a heated venting session with herself, her weariness dried up her usual demeanor, and the water was already calling her. The steam emanating from the mirror-like surface had already started to work the woman's fatigue out, Haya could swear she was going to collapse any moment from forced relaxation! That just would not do, she had better take a seat. With a smile to the girl, Haya strode gracefully across the stone, footsteps much lighter than her approach as she found her usual spot, which so happened to be on the opposite side of the round(ish) pool from the purplette. Grasping a rock for balance, Haya stepped a single large foot into the spring, her eyes already closed; knowing the onsen like the back of her hand. The effect was immediate, and like a prey in a trap she was pulled down into the maw of warmth.

"~~Uuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh~~" Hayakuro sunk all the way to her neck, spreading out under the water as the weight of the world melted off her shoulders. Every noble word from the previous week, every false smile she had to force, every annoyed glare she had to toss her younger siblings. All of it eroded into the hot water and evaporated with the steam. Deep meditative breaths calmed her spirits, letting them get as lost as she was. Going... Going... Going... Hayakuro was welcome giving herself to the strength of the heat and the solitude of the...

And then she remembered she wasn't alone, how rude of her! She had grown so accustom to owning these waters on the rare occasions she got the time, her manners had all but been tossed out the window. She opened her eyes and straightened herself up, sitting elegantly under the water.

"Hayakuro." She introduced kindly, figuring it best to start with the most pleasant of pleasantries while they were both in such vulnerable situations.

Kaori's attention was piqued the moment she heard another voice growing louder and clearer with each successive word spoken. The voice was that of a woman's sounding like she was talking to someone. Either the person they were talking to was much too silent or they were speaking to themselves. It wasn't out of the ordinary for someone to speak to themselves; Kaori does it all the time, having spent the majority of her life relying on herself and with no real friends to speak of other than herself. The couple friends she did make either died to a disease or disappeared somewhere, so speaking to herself was actually quite normal. She shifted a bit expecting someone to appear in the hotspring and made herself look as proper as she could, being as soaked as she was.

The talk of father interested her. She hadn't seen her father in quite some time and would want to see him again. She was too young to understand the circumstances of his leaving, but if he was around during her whole problem with the Shrine, she probably would have had a more productive life; one that wasn't filled with fulfilling her fate of being devoured by a demonic spirit taking on the facade of a dragon. The look of embarrassment on the woman's face caused Kaori to move her hand up to her mouth and chuckle a bit. She simply waved off Hayakuro's action, giving off a simple gesture to her as if to say 'don't worry about it'.

"No worries. This is my first time to the hotsprings and I was feeling a little lonely anyway. So a little bit of company isn't bad, right?" Kaori simply answered. Moments after, the woman calmly stepped into the warm pool with a sigh of relief and excitement; Kaori couldn't figure out which. Her posture, shortly after taking a dip into the warm waters, was something Kaori wanted to emulate. Her towel, however, wasn't capable of allowing her such mobility and freedom of movement,
so she resisted doing so. A single name was given. The name Hayakuro was what this woman went by. Kaori smiled at the woman and waved at her slightly. "Kaori. Tenkawa Kaori. Nice to meet you, Hayakuro-san," she said.

Once introductions were over, she tilted her head slightly and lowered her hand. "Not used to sharing, hm? Does that mean you come here often?" she asked. It was kind of a dumb question given the context, but she was still quite new to interacting with strangers in this village as most people usually just avoid her for some reason. Rumors, perhaps. This woman either:
  • A) Must really like the hotsprings
    B) Have a stressful job requiring them to come to the hotsprings regularly to relieve stress
    C) A little bit of both
Kaori could easily understand either of the answers. The warmth of the water was therapeutic and just felt so damn good.

Then a thought came to Kaori's head as she leaned over a bit. "You don't encounter any perverts here, do you? I encountered some really perverted ANBU a while back, so I don't know if they're watching us right now or not," Kaori said, mentioning how she believed one of the ANBU could have possibly been a pervert; the one that sent her to Child Protective Services. Kaori had the ability to see completely around her to watch out for perverts, but she didn't feel like expending energy when she's supposed to be relaxing.

"Mmmmh~ Company is always good. It's nice to meet you Kaori." She replied to Kaori's introduction with a purr. She was finally able to get a good look at the girl she shared the pool with, her eyes adjusting to the lower light as they scanned across the water. The water, though crystal clear was mostly obscuring both of the girls' bodies, so she couldn't get the best of looks there (not that she was trying to stare!) The soft purple and pink hair was nice, and the girl was small and fantastically cute. And horned? That was a little strange, though Haya made no outward reaction to the visual discovery.

"Not as often as I would like." The woman answered with a heavy sigh, slouching down again, the steamy water rising to just under her nose. Especially lately; she thought to herself as she looked away in thought. That woman was putting her through the wringer as of late, if she had her choice she'd come here every single night! Of course she didn't, and of course that wouldn't be practical, but a girl could dream! She exhaled through her mouth, bubbles of annoyance cresting the water as the irritating thoughts of how her life has recently took a downturn were cutting through the relaxing heat and steam. Though now she was thankful for Kaori's presence; the question let her mind focus on something else with the backdrop of the hotsprings to loosen her stress.

Hayakuro straightened herself up to draw her head out of the water. The question of peeping toms was honestly not one she was expecting; it made her chuckle spiritedly. "Ahaha~ Yes, we do get them from time to time," She began, lifting her arms out of the water to rest her elbows on the floor of the springs. Her ample chest lifted slightly out of the water as well... The towel was nowhere to be seen; not that it was doing a very good job on her cleavage anyway. "Typically not at this time of night though; since it's not very busy the owners are able to keep an eye out for any uninvited guests." She had an amused grin on her face. The owners' vigilance was not always absolute of course; she was reminded of an encounter she had a few years ago, at this very spring.

It did not end well for the poor boy~

"I think we're safe for tonight." She said reassuringly. Whether or not it was true was another story, but it sounded like the girl was a little on edge about a situation that could arise, and Hayakuro was always one to try to ease a stressed mind. Especially in a place like this; as much of a miracle as the water was for the body, for the mind it could often just serve to intensify the thoughts as it wandered. She knew that all too well, as she leaned her head back to look up at the star-dotted sky. She was safe for tonight; safe from her family, safe from her own mind, safe from the physical exhaustion of day to day life. Haya relaxed her muscles so, letting her long legs stretch out such that they floated to the surface of the water, her toes poking out of the still heated pond. Luckily there was plenty of room not to encroach upon Kaori. And luckily the water was opaque enough to keep the tall woman with some modicum of modesty!

"So what brings you here this late, Kaori-chan?" Haya asked, already starting with the dotting informalities. She still had her head against the springs floor, her eyes closed up to the blanket of stars, but she was genuinely listening.

The night time was the only time she had to herself these days. The term “night time” was only for lack of a better term. She had only a few hours before she needed to be present back at the hospital. Much less if she was summoned back for an emergency. Until the staffing situation was fixed that was her schedule was like. It made her wonder why she even accepted the position of Sennin. What’s worse, is that until the Main Branch got sorted, she oversaw that too. Not alone, but, it was still one extra thing on her plate to do.

The hot springs was a welcome retreat. It was sad that it was only because she was so busy that she sought this place out. It was mainly to hide though, as no one would think to look for her there. Her home was not even safe from the demands of the hospital; the one place where everyone should feel relaxed and not assaulted by the needs of others. Alas, to keep the wife Asuka at ease, she left to seek a new refuge. She hated the interruptions more than Yomi did.

Yomi entered the hot springs with a towel held to her body, not bothering to wrap it around to keep it closed. She heard a familiar voice that she knew and loved and one unfamiliar one. Tonight, she would have company it seemed. Luckily, she very much enjoyed Kaori’s company. Getting to know Kaori, the Goddess learned that she enjoyed her time with her because of the normalcy that Kaori brought into her life. Well at least as normal as it got for Yomi. There was only one other person in the village that did that for her, but that…was a complicated situation.

Anyway, there was no grand entrance or introduction, the more time spent on that the closer it came for her to have to leave. She purposely left her headset at home so work wouldn’t bother her for the little things. She trusted the hospital to run with or without her. Of course, there were alternate ways to get in touch with her. She was not too lax in her duties.

“Room for one more?” Yomi immersed herself in the hot springs, as she sat between the two ladies.

“Hello, Tenkawa Kaori.” Yomi said in her usual even tone. It was slightly less dry, if Kaori took notice to such things. She eyed the woman on the opposite side of her and gave a slight nod of acknowledgment.

This Hayakuro person was friendly enough. She introduced herself first and even divulged Kaori in a little bit of small-talk. Everything was fine so far. Hayakuro seemed quite animated with her responses to some of the questions asked by Kaori, which could simply be a quirk of her's, but the thing that caught her attention was the fact that perverts sometimes frequent the hotsprings for a peep. Her eyes closed half-way in annoyance to the answer provided. She wasn't too fond of perverts nor was she too interested in such a thing. If she had it her way, she would pry out the eyes of every pervert and kick them in the jewels several times until it became unusable. But what she wants and what she is able to do are two different things.

"Wonderful," she said as her words dripped in sarcasm. Her tone of voice obviously showed how absolutely thrilled she was to hear that. If Kaori was so inclined to, she would be able to spot them before they could spot the women in the bath, but she didn't come to the bath to be a surveillance unit. She came to the bath to clean and relax, as most do. "At least they do a good enough job. It would be a shame if I had to beat them to a pulp!" Kaori said as she slammed her left fist into her right palm. She quickly moved her hands up to her chest and re-adjusted the towel. If there WERE perverts around, she didn't want to give them a free viewing.

At least it was reassuring to know that they would be safe from any eyes on them tonight and a sigh of relief washed over her. She simply smiled at Hayakuro once Kaori was, once again, reassured that nobody strange would be coming around. "Well, this is my first time to the hotsprings. I normally used to bathe in cold streams or lakes. And my life was a little hectic until a while ago," she said in reference to her taking over the cult-like shrine that tried to feed her to a demon. Well, all of that changed after all, once she took destiny into her own hands and exposed the lies that the Shrine was feeding the people and even helped her mother repent for her sins. Everything in the world, at least for Kaori, was doing just fine for now. "With all of the things I had to go through, I thought it was probably for the best that I treat myself to something nice, ya know?" she said with a smile.

It was then that a familiar voice could be heard. She turned her head to notice Yomi approaching, barely pressing the towel against her skin. She gave a big bright smile and a wave to Yomi, an excited wave that teenage girls give when they see their besty. "Oh, hi Yomi! Please, join us," she said as she instinctively scooted to the side as if to make room for Yomi to have a seat. Not that Kaori needed to do that as there was more than enough space for Yomi to sit. She pointed her palm up to the sky and pointed her fingers in the direction of Hayakuro. "Yomi, I'd like you to meet Hayakuro," she said in greeting.

An idea struck her and she swam a bit through the warm water before moving to the near side of the hotspring and shouted out. "Three sake, please!" towards the owner of the establishment. Hopefully with her womanly looks and proportions, she'd pass as an adult and would be able to drink with Hayakuro and Yomi. Assuming Yomi would even let that happen. At least it's worth a shot right?

Hayakuro laughed lightly, sensing the sarcasm laced in Kaori's and the young girl's spirited reaction to re-adjust her towel. Haya thought Kaori must have been much younger than her; the reactions and tone reminded her of herself when she was sixteen or so. That cute naivete to certain aspects of the world, but heavy weight and beyond the years wisdom to others. Haya purred as Kaori spoke, absorbing her words like the relaxing heat. It was fun to learn new things about new people; different experiences Haya may never have had, or have had in different ways. Each word reminded the woman of a story, of an anecdote that brought joy (or frustration) to her life. Wonderous things, words, the way they can evoke grand memories with a simple utterance.

"Ara~ Yes. One should never go too long without granting themselves something nice; even something as simple as a hot soak." Truer words would probably never leave Hayakuro's lips, even saying them now made her sigh deeply and slide down to her neck in the hot water. The new position let her get a better look at Kaori, smiling to her and noticing the second woman's slow approach. It was regal, elegant, carried with an air of nobility Hayakuro so rarely saw in Konohagakure.

"Plenty~" Haya replied, turning her head in a warm smile. The tight bun of her massive hair on top shifted slightly; the only things that could be seen were it and her head, sitting cross-legged under the water and slouching enough for her whole body to be submerged. She was happy the spring was quite large; Haya was surprisingly comfortable in this exact spot and it would be a shame to need to shift. The misty steam prevented the woman from getting a good look at Yomi too, but it was neither here nor there. She looked between both of them, happy that they knew each other and she was introduced. What a small world this was! She was glad they were on good terms though; sometimes the size of the village turned out for the worse, like that one time when she met...

"Ah, hello~" She nodded respectfully as she was introduced, luckily managing to catch herself before she went into a full-on bow. Underwater bow--it would have been strange but all the serious discussions she'd been in lately had gotten her used to it.

"Mmmh that sounds lovely." She sighed happily as Kaori took the initiative. She nuzzled her head back in to the edge of the hotsprings, against her small towel as a soft pillow. ...Haya only entered with one towel though and it was... Used to be...

Yomi looked at Kaori when she ordered the Sake. She didn't say anything, only giving her the kind of look that people gave their friends when they were doing something they weren't supposed to. The woman was not a kill joy. Plus, if Kaori was expected to put her life on the line for the sake of the village, why couldn't she imbibe once in a while? Yomi was not raised as a ninja, so those reservations that they had about certain things did not resonate with her. Even if her profession was currently ninja, those guidelines could never apply, yet, she felt very protective of the girl and didn't want her to be in "trouble". With those competing ideas, Yomi knew that as a child there were many things that she did that most adults would shy away from therefore, Kaori was free to do as she pleased, judgement free from her. Well...she wouldn't say anything about it at least.

The Sennin sank a little deeper into the water and looked to Hayakuro whom she was quite certain she had never seen before. Another woman in Leaf. Of course there were girls in Leaf, but, not many women. It was really refreshing to see. Yomi had not perfected the art of small talk, but, she had been practicing with Asuka and had tried it out with Umashi on one or two occasions. Here was the perfect opportunity to try again.

"Hello Hayakuro."

She thought of something else to say, but, nothing came to mind. If it was a "job", she'd know what to say and how to react because she prepared for that. If it was one of her followers, she knew that they all wanted something profound or a mere blessing, But, randomly talking for the sake of talking was foreign to her. Asuka was her mouthpiece in every other instance. So here, sitting in these springs outside of a work situation or a "job" Yomi was at a loss at how to go about talking to people. The Medical Sennin chose to remain comfortable within the silence, waiting for the Sake to come.

The sake was brought over by an elderly woman dressed in the usual hotsprings attendant outfit. She brought them a platter that floated in the water with a single small 180 ml container of sake was accompanied by 3 sipping dishes for the trio to use. The tray floated around for a little bit before Kaori added the drinks to her tab; keeping the total in her head. She had more than enough funds to pay for it, but she wanted to keep track of how much she was paying in the event that she went a little overboard. In the event that she got too drunk, the calculations would go out the window anyway, but it was a trial in futility that she was willing to endure anyway. Kaori reached for the container of sake and poured the three of them their drinks. Just enough for a couple sips each. The container was ice-cold, standard due to it being summer.

She finished pouring the drinks and placed the container of sake back upon the middle of the dish and took one of the glasses and, without knowing how to drink sake, swigged the entire thing in a single gulp. Yes, her naivete made her look foolish. She didn't know that sake was a sipping drink and not a shooting drink. She put the dish back upon the floating tray and gave a strange, cat-like smile as she looked over the other two. She felt pretty good at this point. Thankfully, it was some relatively decent sake that didn't taste like boiled rubber on the after-taste. Her back pressed against the edge of the hotspring as she stretched her arms upwards a little bit. Thankfully, her towel was on tight enough to where she didn't pop out of them and just loose enough to give her freedom of movement. Even the single drink, her first drink ever, seemed to have loosened her lips a bit.

"Yeah, glad those stupid ANBU aren't floating around. Probably in the bushes nearby," she said as her voice trailed off, saying some rather inappropriate things. The things she said was just absolutely vulgar from that point on as she associated ANBU with perverts that would watch the women in a voyeuristic manner, finding something like that extremely exciting. She didn't have a very fond opinion of the ANBU since her youth and she continued to maintain that position--probably always will. "Anyway, perverted losers aside, who named you Hayakuro? Someone think 'early filtration' was a cute name?" she said as she made a 'pshhhh' sound afterward before pouring herself another bit of sake and shooting it afterward. She wasn't able to see the kanji of the name so she didn't necessarily know what it meant, but she did put the two words she heard in there together and came up with that.

Kaori replaced the dish once more and started to feel a bit tipsy from the second erroneous shot of sake that she took. Her alcohol tolerance was intolerable due to never having had a drink before. Alcohol wasn't something that was mainly allowed in the Shrine, except to be used by the Shrine Elders and her mother. The thought crossed her mind to use a medical jutsu to cleanse the toxins of the alcohol from her system--but that's not fun, right? "I should really take an exam already, yeeesh. Being a student is boring," she said as she eyeballed the bottle of sake once again.

The young boy ran down the shadow laden corridor, well versed about the path he needed to take. He had gotten used to multiple areas of the village already, yet still, he hadn't gotten the chance to employ this knowledge to often. Business was slow, or rather nonexistent, and he was still to unsure about gathering the attention of strangers in this foreign village. That entire having to share stuff about oneself, getting to know each other, it wasn't for him. This place was much kinder to it's ilk, and even the shady side wasn't that dark. Not like the world he was from, not remotely.

So, Kishin decided to give himself a fun little mission. Something to spread his wings and regain some skills he hadn't practiced recently. He wanted to get himself some...well action was to strong a word, especially in the current multiple contexts. He was going to try to avoid such as much as possible this night. His interaction with others weren't exactly, kind. And his interactions with the opposite sex were rare back in Iwagakure. So once he had gotten to this village, how could one not help themselves? The girls here were much prettier, tanner, and clean. A lot less screaming and punching was involved to have favor gained. The girls didn't need to be, well lets say, they had the freedom to not have to be taught whom to obey.

So to him, interaction with the fairer sex was something he wanted to acquaintance himself with. Though he was just old enough to start..notice aspects of interest. So that is what led him to where he was now. Running down the corridor, he jumped up the side of a building and then over to another roof top. He looked to the distance, his target was roughly 1500 meters away. The lights could be barely seen, but he knew it was there. He moved through a few hand seals and his eyes began to ripple, and an iris turned white. Within his sight, he could see fully a single persons face, a girl with dark purple, maybe blue hair? And pink? Young and smooth skinned. And another that had just entered, with bits showing in similar condition. After she had gotten next to the girl with strange hair she had mostly vanished from sight. It was just enough of a site to drive him forward. He now knew the instillation was occupied, his mission was a go.

That led to the only problem as of now, there weren't any buildings tall enough to allow site within, at least none closer then 2500 meters. And sure, he could see that far, but blurs and scratches of color weren't enough, he needed detailed descriptions for this mission. The next stop was 500 meters away, but only enough to allow to see anyone walking about in the back of the room, and last there was a tree that if stood high on, allowed view of quarter of the back of the room. He wasn't tall enough just yet to allow any other site to be scene. So...if he wanted to get closer, he would have to get onto the building itself. Or into it. That would have most certainly been the best option to gather intelligence by. And he was good, really good, but not that good.

The young lad jumped off the building and headed towards his enemies hideout. He would have to be careful, and try to avoid being seen, otherwise they might raise the alarm. His mission would be a failure, and it could even get worse from there. So far he knew two people were in the room, and they were facing towards the direction he was running. And at least one was..disarmed.

He circled the building a short distance away, trying to keep out of site of most. The streets were slightly filled, but not vary in this section of town. He made his way up a building several over and jumped the roofs to get to his final location. He knew what was to one direction, boredom and a squeaky clean rest spot. The other, his objective. He could now here the voices of three within. He crept silently closer, knowing he had to be silent and careful. The enemies hideout was fraught with danger, and he didn't know the full defenses, capabilities and strategies employed of those within. He was only on a mission of reconnaissance. To see and not be seen. While still a distance away, he made the hand seals again and reactivated his Byakugan, allowing him sight all around. He needed to be sure to get all the details proper.

He placed his back against a small lip and slowly pushed his way up against it. He just needed a sliver to see well enough. Just a sliver. He felt a lack of figure, and just a puff of white hair wouldn't be enough to raise suspicions of those within. And with that, he would know all and gather any secrets they held within.
