Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The living room was filled with the bitter, yet inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. It couldn't be any more difficult to describe the relaxation and pleasure one gains from just the smell alone, yet when one drank the beverage; it lifted spirits, dulled stress and often gave the individual a certain boost of alacrity; of course with some minor side-effects.

Today could have been like any other day, but it wasn't. While the smell of coffee loomed pleasantly, it was contrasted with the deafness of a dampening smell of dust and loneliness. Shieo was home, but it was the first time in quite some time; having been caught up in a difficult situation with an ally that disappeared during the heat of such things. He could only assume it was a tragic realization for them- Nevertheless it was a bit tragic for himself as well. Through such events, the young man was trapped under-earth for months, served to feed on insects and the disgusting waters that souped from a monstrosity that he had to face during the event.
This all left him quite sick, upon arriving to the village a month ago. He had been admitted into the hospital for recovery. Today, he was released early in the morning and granted some freedoms to his actions finally he thought.

So here we are. Standing by the coffee machine, littered with disorganized clutter and the layers of dust in which he would eventually have to address. A cup in hand and the black-brown liquid sitting there happily hugged by a cup; all in which hovered in the air with the help of his weakened fingers. "Goodness it has been awhile hasn't it..." his voice was hoarse, but pleased with the circumstances. All things considered, he made it- even if the mental struggle he will have to endure to his prior failures will come to surface. He knew it would, despite putting it off.

And so he lifted the cup to his lips, taking a sip. The sound like choir bells to his ears, joyous and uplifting; with the hint of reminder that responsibility comes in the mornings.

The matter of all good things come to an end is predisposed for anyone and anything. Shieo's life, his responsibilities and all the other things messily wrapped in one package- Was of course, no exception. This however, didn't stop him from taking the silent, idle peace that came with sipping away at his coffee; staring at the cupboard that hung on the wall directly in-front of him. It was dull, but a change of scenery that was far unfamiliar to Shieo. A strange pleasantness.

After some passing minutes, he merely held the mug in hand and stood there idly. Staring into the abyss, something lingered. He wasn't sure how to describe it, a fleeting feeling of longing, regret and confusion.
"What could I have done correctly..?" It was of course, a question- Not necessarily directed to himself, otherwise it would have been a loaded question. A situation he had no control over, no action could of remedied the outcome; in-fact, the reality of him being alive was perhaps the most successful outcome out of the many of other potentials. He knew this, he just wish he didn't.
Given the question that lingered in the still air, he had to inevitably acknowledge it. Even if it were his; so he turned and faced the sliding door to his balcony. The sun was up, if all was right in the world; he would have been having a heavenly moment to simply bask in the simplicity that he was engrossed in.

"I mean, the most obvious answer was to be more prepared. Be an overwhelming feature against the stature of the enemy... But me? Hardly thinkable." Lifting the cup to his cracking lips from his repeated open-mouthed breathing. Drawing in the succulence of his drink, sending signals of relaxation to his body. It stirred him to stride towards the sliding door, his movements like a feather- deigned to not disturb anything in the slightest. It wasn't intentional, suspected he couldn't recreate this blissful movement either.

Where he stood, he could see the streets of the early morning that had its share of few individuals. Each moving towards their given tasks, goals and responsibilities. And here he was, being the late-riser.

Sluurp....

"Come now Shieo... You know the answer; but can you action it?--" Closing his eyes in contemplation he mused the thoughts. "I suppose I will need to try to find out... I am nothing to bat an eye at; but that doesn't mean I can't find ways to work around the exceptional of this world... To become exceptional at being unexceptional. Talent in the talentless; an ironic contrast. But perhaps feasible."

Hah...

"Feasible. Heh... Look at me, acting optimistic." He gently put his cup down on an end table. He was going to depart, prepare himself- Or see what he could do more accurately.

A few days past...

Unfortunate to Shieo, or perhaps fortunate to the chain of events. He was instructed to face a Genin of significant power, far above his own threshold- but the young man lacked a certain control. A brief visit to the hospital was all it really took to patch the young-man back together.
And all the while as Shieo had found himself slouching on his couch, among the dust in his apartment he couldn't help but think of his recent encounters as of late. Dealing with the Beast Medical Genin, the young ANBU talent and looking awhile back, his undeniable failure of a mission. The wounds were settling into his mind as he was left in a state of denial, yet he couldn't help but feel as if he needed to accomplish something greater-- But not for himself, he knew that he had his limits. But those children all of which he could help better, after-all each and every one of those failures or short-comings had come down to his lack of ability to maintain a situation.

It left him thinking, while he couldn't just magically manifest talent, or even powers of the otherworldly to help aid him. He did have one thing going for him, a distinct knack for breaking down what he saw and felt and understood the fundamentals-- Admittedly he thought, it was draining.
And so while lounging in his couch, his mind began to wander. He knew his core strengths were ultimately in the arts of Genjutsu, but if he needed to expand his talents he would need to do exactly that. Be it physical wonders, perhaps the methods of medicinal route- Or... He thought, he could start where few ventured and few mastered- That way he wouldn't get scorned for dabbling... "Fuuinjutsu... Hm- It's a start."

Without further a due, the young man got up and prepared to leave home; after-all, he wouldn't get the study materials for such a school of techniques from his house. It's not like these techniques are posted on the internet. They aren't right...?

And thus, his apartment went from dust central, to scattered paper and book central -- Much like the average college student's

"Graaaaah!" He squirmed around on the floor, hands clasped over either side of his head has he suffered in his own mind. After-all, today would mark day sixteen of a stretch of he believes to be healthy, regulated studying. What he failed to notice was he's only slept a combined total of about five hours and has survived off twinkes and coffee for a vast majority of such venture. While it needn't be said, it wasn't healthy or regulated.
Dare say he lost a few years of his life on such a span of time and excruciating studying; but nevertheless while Shieo hadn't immediately found out this day, he was already on to something remarkable. His fundamentals of fuuinjutsu were long since established and he was mostly cramming already well founded knowledge in his mind. And perhaps on the verge of something even greater. For he had discovered several articles and research materials under the project title "The Flying Thunder God". It grew as a brief pet-project to understand it for awhile in the span of his days of studying, but the more he divulged into its intricacies and action, the more it hooked him on the premise of the technique and what was involved with such a strange wonderment of skill. Perhaps what was more impressive, is anyone with enough Chakra and knowledge could perchance accomplish this impressive combat style; "Even I could do this? ... Madness, or a stroke of luck."

Upon reaching the end of this marathon of cramming, crying and screeching to alleviate stress. Shieo inevitably concluded with some modicum of success, little did he know- it was the beginning to something impressive, something he never thought he would be acclaimed for. And so he sat in the final moments of silence. Staring at a kunai with a strange and uniquely marked fuuinjutsu-- His Fuuinjutsu.

While it was unfortunate that the kunai had to be built slightly bigger than a traditional throwing weapon; all to house the fuuinjutsu and without degrading by the chakra. It left him in wonderment. - Thus he picked up the kunai whilst he lay prone on the floor, amidst his slew of papers and other objects. Twisted his torso and flung the kunai towards his wall- With an audible 'thunk' he triggered the signature on the kunai, seeing if it did just as he hoped it would. 'fwomp' a sound that was best attributed to such a velocity of movement with such a short mass, that the sound barrier cratered under the force- However, at such a cost of chakra... And well...

As he looked back, both in bewilderment and wonder- He then was brought back to Earth, seeing that his messy apartment just got a lot messier at the sudden burst of speed and sound sending everything, everywhere. To add to the visual, the dust he forgot to clean was showering everything in the process.

"NOoooOoOooo~!"

"Shut up you damned loud neighbor!" Ah yes, Maryjolie downstairs- He forgot, he shared a building. This was rung in reminder by the three different directions of stomps, brooms hitting the walls and floors and an orchestra of irritated animals.
