Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It started with a simple day of training. He sat beneath the waterfall, bare chested, wearing nothing but briefs which were now soaked. He was positioned on a rock at the base of the falls, the waters crashing down onto his body for some time now, creating a numbing effect within him. His hands we're positioned in a specific manner, the web of chakra throughout his body and beyond lighting up through the physical numbness, highlighting everything else so clearly. This light flickered off his body and the water in a manner similar to the crashing falls around him, all entwined together. His focus was this connection with the falls, with the water, the nature itself rushing all around, his chakra spilling into and being pushed back by the waters might. You could feel that might not just physically, but hear it in the roar of the crashing falls, consuming everything around it in its mighty splash. No cease, or end in sight, just the continuous overtaking of all other sounds around. It created a sort of canvas almost, and it was in this static silence that he could truly do his work. Channeling the chakra through his body, Takai fed his very essence into the waters around him, pushing upwards against the waters like the salmon that charges up the stream. Will is the key, what both the chakra and the salmon must have alike. Encouraged by the deafening wave, he is pushed forward, further, to reach deeper into his being and summon that extra bit. Inch by inch the glistening chakra pooled into the water, spreading like swirling roots, slowly pushing upwards against the current causing more and more water to splash off into random directions. The Light that changes natures, with each step of it's march converting the waters around it to it's very cause, droplets marching together up the stream. As the whole of the falls became one with his chakra, the glow began to intensify, but so did what he was experiencing. His consciousness now reaching the peak of the falls, his mind was filled with images as fast as the rushing of the falls itself. It was as if he could taste the history of the falls, speaking to him all at once in some incomprehensible way. The feeling however lit his spine ablaze.

The chakra and the waters now reaching the peak of connectivity, everything spread like a wildfire. The waters that once crashed down upon his body released their pressure and tension, and with this all at once a sense of euphoria kicked in. The sparkling water, shimmering with light, pushed up in what was like an instant, carrying the whole body with it and instead of crashing down below, pushed onward into the sky above, creating a glistening stream of light. As this shining water pushed onward, going with the flow that he felt it desired, he spiraled it's passage downwards back to where the stream lead, but in a manner that was like a spiral of light. Bits of the glistening water shot off in random directions, the force of the falls still much to control, but it was as if the body was working with his chakra, all together trying to preform some feat neither could achieve alone. Together, it was a marvel that brought such a smile to his face, humbled by the waters partaking in his play. As the numbness faded his body, there was just a warmth that filled his heart. It was here in the heart of nature that he felt the most calm, the most in tune, and the most capable of bringing about any kind of training. With the release of his chakra and his concentration, it all came crashing down in an instant. The glimmering stopped, the water cascaded back downward, and it all came crashing down with an extra special roar. But the smile still persisted, even as the numbness came back, even as the roar took over again, he knew he could feel something... Real?

There was always much joy to be found in nature. The swirling of the reeds by the wind, the rippling of the lake, or be it the colors in the leaves, or the sunset itself and all of its magnificence. There is much to be taken in the simplest of moments if we were to just stop and appreciate it for it's beauty. It was this simplistic joy that put such a smile on his face. Having finished playing around in the water, he removed himself from the position he was seated in, and the pressure of the crashing falls. Beginning to dry himself off, he walked over to where the remains of his clothes were waiting and began to dress. As beautiful and serene as it all was, there was still something off about the whole scene that was starting to get to him. Birds were heading past him overhead in unusual amounts. Animals scattered through the forest in frantic patterns here and there. Overall, something seemed to be afoot within the normal movements of nature. After finally finishing to get himself dressed in his baggy white pants and white robe, he decided to cure his curiosity and climb his way up the waterfall. With a few hops he had quickly scaled it's walls, and took perch atop the statue closest to all of the disturbance. It was from up here that he could see it all, stretching across the distance of fire country, well above the treetops that littered the lands. Deep into the distance he could see something unusual, a massive tree that had never been there previously. Something was afoot, something he was completely unsure of, but an ominous sense of gloom filled the nature of the lands, and if the animals could sense something was off, there was likely something foul to this tree. For a moment, he just sat, and he watched, studying what he could of what was to come.

Everything about the situation was so obscure to him. All of the signs were there, the disturbances in nature, the feeling coming from that direction, but at the same time, there was nothing really discernable about the tree other than its sheer size. Was it merely some jutsu? A rare wood style user with an extreme amount of potential? For a few hours he'd sit there and watch as day turned to night. Nothing, not a budge, no discernable real distress from that direction. Nothing to indicate things being truly awry, other than this gut feeling he couldn't shake. He was not a fan of uncertain situations like this. He was very aware of the uncertain nature of all things, and always kept a certain level of open-mind, but this was beyond bizarre. He needed to at least handle this like he would any other strange situation and report back to the village and check up on things, thinking there may be more news there. Standing up from the top of the statue he stared out into the distance one last time, really getting a good look of the situation. Maybe it was nothing, but that feeling never left him that there was something more, and he knew to listen to those feelings. Something was coming, and given the size of things, it was big. With a large sigh, he let go of his balance and fell backwards off the statue, diving towards the river below. Back to the Guarded Path, where Destiny leads the way.

Those few seconds of freefall, they're bliss. The real freedom is right here in the now, this moment swirling around me. Everything else... It's simply Duty.
