Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A lone bird, black as the void against the night sky, glided into the cloud cover above Konohagakure, reaching towards the stars. It was massive, with a 20 foot wingspan, and if it wasn’t already so high up into the sky, one might be able to assume that it could be easily seen. If one had keen enough senses, they’d be able to vaguely sense a lone, hooded figure, riding atop the bird as it silently soared away into obscurity. Tonight was a cold, clouded night, perfect for the quiet escape. Or were the Konoha ninja better than that? Perhaps their response would be telling…

It was a cold night, and the young boy felt the urge to cause some mischief. He stopped by the bath house earlier and it was devoid of life. A shame too, oh the mischief he could have caused. Oh the mischief to be had. So that left him just one alternative, a little criminal activity or perhaps stopping such. He mulled over which to go about doing. For now, he just searched out trouble.

It was a slow night it seemed. He sat atop a tall building and just gazed at the night sky until he heard something happening, or got to bored for such. That was when something passed his gaze. It crossed the moon high above, a bird of some sort. Though given it's height..it seemed to cover a huge chunk. Kishin stood up and activated his Byakugan, allow for a better sight to beheld. The thing truely was massive. Perhaps as large as some of the birds back in Iwagakure, but there weren't that many mountains in the Fire Country. At least not large enough to house such a beast. He could imagine watching it swoop down, and take him or maybe even a grown adult as prey. But that was when he saw it. Someone was riding along it's back, like a flea.

Now only one thought went through his head, well actually two. One; to meet the man that managed to pacify such a creature. And two, to take a ride of his own.

Someone is watching us.

Soraka mentioned to Izura, the bird’s speak little more than a whisper muted by the winds. Despite being such a massive bird, Soraka had a reputation as the “assassination raven”, a bird of prey that prided herself upon her stealthy, silent flying. And so it stood that her observation skills were not far behind.

Izura sighed. Getting potentially shot out of the sky or perhaps simply followed was not in his best interests. Sharingan scanning over the rooftops of the village, he noticed Yaku staring back up, byakugan active. They’d likely be able to see him just as easily as he was able to see them. Such was the strength of dojutsu.

"I'll play it safe. You don't have to be here anymore."

He made the sign of the ram with his right hand, and in the next moment, Soraka disappeared in a gout of smoke. Amidst the smoke, Izura shifted reality itself for but a brief moment, disappearing from the air altogether, only to reappear in a dark alley next to an abandoned house, not far from the walls of the village. It was an overgrown and seemingly abandoned section of the village- ripe for renovation if it weren’t for the fact that it bordered some of the seedier parts of town.

In any case, Izura knew that Yaku would’ve been able to see through the smoke and see him disappear from within the cloud. What Izura hoped on now was the possibility that Yaku wasn’t able to track teleportation. Very few could, but who knew? Youth often did surprising things, after all. That, or it could’ve been pure fate. Destiny had a way of bringing people together, despite Izura’s best attempts to avoid detection.

The Uchiha pulled his hood down to hide his eyes further from any onlookers, before heading to what appeared to be a section of the wall that had severe overgrowth all over it, hidden conveniently by the alleyway.

His sharingan mused over his surroundings, before he turned, and entered the abandoned house through a trap door into it’s cellar.

'Oh, he can see me?' The man apparently had visual prowess on par with the byakugan's magnifying vision. Even from way up there, in the sky high above, he seemed to lock onto the red hooded boy down below, down to the point of making direct eye contact. Though, the eyes he didn't recognize as being similar to his own. They were red, and some kind of black pattern within. He stood up and pointed his finger at the man, then pointed it to the rooftop he was on, hoping he got the message.

That was when it happened, the bird, the giant bird that he was so interested in, vanished. Was it a ninjutsu? No way, it was more real then that. So much so. Maybe he had some kind of scroll? Could you seal a living animal inside a scroll? "Huh...going to have to try that sometime." He imagined going out, capturing small woodland creatures to pop out and fight for him. He kept his eyes on where the guy had been and he could see within the cloud, his target simple warp into'...nothingness? That isn't right.' Kishin ran to the edge of the building and jumped to the next one. He headed for the wall of the village. He couldn't be sure if his target was heading there as well, but it seemed like he hadn't wanted to be found, and to leave. The boy was sure that would be the best place to wait for him. Though he gave it a 25% chance at best. Personally, he would have just waited for another chance, another day perhaps.

He stuck to the shadow of the wall, high above the street level overlooking a large area. Some time passed though he kept still, and ever watchful for his own butt. He didn't need an ANBU or some shinobi of the village spotting him and causing problems. 'Huh..if he is trying to hide from me, he must be hiding something important. Or..do I look that much like an ANBU'"Hmmm." He jumped off the building and headed for the place he saw the guy enter. It was a musty looking building, abandoned, most likely when Iwagakure attacked. Or perhaps when the Kage's Mansion was burned to the ground. He looked around for where the guy might have been, but he wasn't around? "Where..the hell did he go? Hey..Hey Mr. Um..weird red eye guy. Come on out. I know you are somewhere around here. If you need, I am sure a doctor can help you with that eye thingy."

He continued creeping around, not exactly hiding his presence.

Izura made his move, going to the rooftop, before he leapt off, summoning Soraka silently and then making his escape. The bird was an expert in silent flight, easily able to leave without even a small whisper. The night was mostly silent, as only the sound of chirping crickets could be heard in the nearby creeks. Yaku’s call went unanswered. Had he seen a ghost? Perhaps it was the fact that Yaku almost looked like a ghost with that getup of his that caused fate to have the two ninja cross paths.

But in any case, there was no real reason for Izura to linger. He was a fleeting shadow, moving through the sky as if they weren’t there. As if he himself didn’t exist.

That’s all he was- a fleeting shadow in the night.
