Jinba Ittai means person and horse as one body. Ittai took the meaning of her name to a whole new level. Instead of merely becoming intoned with her companion, she actually has her spirit resonate with her companion, thus making her an almost different person. Normally she is a gentle and timid spirit, but when there souls become one, she becomes wild. Her timid nature has heighten awareness to things around her; she is calm collected. Her wild spirit embraces freedom and enjoys the simplicity of running for the sake of running. When she is in her timid state she is of one body with her companion. When she is in her wild state she is of one soul with her companion.
Soul Resonance is a special technique used by Rider and Steed, in which, they synchronize their Chakra. Resonating Souls is the foundation of Rider and Steed relationships with in the Jinba family. Resonation is the act of linking Chakra. The Rider passes Chakra to their steed; The steed then takes the chakra, magnifies it and sends it back to the rider. They repeat this process until the Rider and Steed harmonize. When the chakra are synchronized in this faction, the result are surges of chakra that is produced through out the battle and can thus be used in various ways.
One of these Various ways is increased speed. Both Ittai and her companion love to run and today they were racing each other an full speed through the ancient Forrest of Cloud. Feeling the sun warm rays poking through the branches, the grass beneath there feet and the cool wind blowing through her hair was simply exhilarating. The two of them were going at incredible speeds that it would be hard for those watching to even follow as they weave through the trees. They were not heading anywhere nor were they running from anything but running for the sake of running.
