Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It has been a long time since Yukio had left the inner village zones to do something other than training, such a schedule had become the normal which was beginning to concern him. Not wanting to become rusty when the option to take a mission to track down a possible rogue ninja in the outer zones turned up he felt like he had to take it. Another opportunity to test his abilities for the branch was something he would not turn down.

Waiting until after dark to exit the village he began moving to the last know location of this supposed rogue knowing that the cover of the night would give him the edge due to his Byakugan. Activating them upon entering the area he stayed to think for a while, going in without some form of plan in these circumstances would be foolish. The first step was to gather information bringing his hands together to form a set of hand seals a clone forming next to him out of shards of mirror jutsu.

They had one job first find this rogue splitting up to move in opposite directions he knew if the clone were to find it, it could simply dissipate to relay the information to Yukio as he activated his eyes scanning the area for any signs of recent activity. Doing so would prove to be a challenge in of itself from his experience with the ANBU that covering your tracks was required while out in the field if he was going to find them it would be the person and not what they’d left behind.

His clone was having more luck on the other hand, going off the beaten track as its eyes scanned the area its head snapped to as it saw quick movements focusing each time it tagged onto them its eyes narrowing them as it gets the general area before sighing dissipating to relay the information to Yukio.

It didn’t take long for Yukio to react moving with haste to the location of his clone using his own eyes upon arrival and moving closer to the scene he had been shown, looking down he oversaw what could only be his target the one they were speaking to on the other hand was one he did not know would be here. Seems they had a contact though they were no shinobi, a smuggler possibly, getting resources, this far out would be difficult.

The shinobi on the other hand seemed to be a girl, her clothing being that worn in the leaf village the line across her headband showing the rogue status held so high in those who managed to flee their village. With the why and who in mind the outcome in his mind was already decided.

Taking the opportunity of a sudden strike, he formed a set of shards around him launching a volley of shattered shards jutsu to remove or at least wound the two of them scoring multiple strikes upon his prey’s contact, taking the uncertain factor out of the picture, the Shinobi on the other hand was not so easy. A wall of earth forming blocking his jutsu, this was going to take some effort as Yukio jumped down from his tree side perch.

The shinobi turned on the one who ambushed them, their stance being somewhat relaxed though from the inquisitive look on their face seeming to question how they were discovered so quickly by a Shinobi so young though it was clear the eyes of the Hyuuga were a defining factor.

“Well the leaf doesn’t take it’s time to track down threats in their turf, you found me quicker than I anticipated and I feel like applauding you for that young one. They must have taught you well”

Her voice was more than a bit condescending towards him, any respect for the village hidden in the leaves could not be found in that tone something Yukio expected though his rather young age and somewhat obvious inexperience in the field was most likely another factor in this matter.

Yukio couldn’t help but roll his eyes more than anything he hated being looked down on and underestimated something that didn’t happen to frequently but annoyed him all the same, taking a moment to glance at the now wounded individual on the ground. What he was presented with was a middle-aged man who was wearing what could only be described as clothing in less than perfect condition. This didn’t effect Yukio’s objective it was just an uncertain factor he would deal with later.

“Say what you will, I don’t appreciate the sarcasm or your lacklustre sense of humour. I don’t particularly care what your goal is out here and what you seek to do I’m only here to make sure you don’t leave here alive.”

He spoke with confidence though his expression was almost deadpan, uncaring for what word shives she wanted to throw out in the end the result would be the same as he let the marks of his curse seal crawl across his body. Getting this over with swiftly was the best way to get results anything else would lead to a prolonged struggle that would lead to an uncertain outcome.

The girl simply shrugged at his response the time for talk had come and gone as she planted a fist into the ground sending spires of earth towards Yukio. Taking stance, he let his eyes glance across each one shifting his body from side to side letting the spires glide past him as he brought his fingers into point jabbing at the girl.

It was swift his new-found prowess with his Hyuuga bloodline giving him the edge in sight and speed as his fingers pinpointed the girl’s chakra points blocking each one as the young Hyuuga spoke with each strike.

“Eight trigrams sixteen palms”

It was not a complete trigrams process for the Hyuuga had not yet mastered the process his eyes had matured only needing to spare a glance at each point before jabbing it moving back slightly before entering a palm rotation knocking her to the floor with multiple impacts.

“You underestimated me, that was your mistake but now your time is up”

She responded with a chuckle as the Hyuuga knelt to finish the job, a spire striking his chin and knocking his head back stumbling to his feet. It wasn’t often Yukio lost his temper in his time in the academy an effort was always made to keep a calm and respectable demeanour but in this case all illusions of that were gone slamming his hands together.

“Mirror Style Shattered Shards Jutsu!”

The girl seemed pleased with her actions content anything else that could be found out from her was swiftly torn apart in the shower of mirror shards as Yukio looked upon his work, sharp breaths leaving his lungs as he seemed almost disappointed in himself looking to where the man had been only seeing a trail of blood leading away from the scene.

It appeared in the commotion he’d taken his leave as best he could, Yukio placing his hands in his pockets gazed in the direction turning on his heels to return to the village. This was something he would look into at a later date.
