Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The scenery:
In the depth of a random forest near the area where the Uchiha reside, was an aggressive river. This was not a popular place to fish by any means, so it rarely had any visitors. In addition to that, it was surrounded by tall trees so it was difficult for most people to even find. It was a warm day with clear skies, perfect for training. There was enough of a gap among the trees in one particular spot for plenty of sun light to shine through.

Anatsu:
Anatsu could be found here on this day, standing at about 5'11 with a thin, muscular frame. He was drenched in sweat, shirtless and shoe less. He had a headband made of bandages, helping him keep his hair out of his face. His hands were also covered in bandages. His body was dirty, bleeding, and full of sweat. His pants were gray, also very dirty. Anatsu had dark black hair and big black eyes.

The story:
Anatsu had taken some time to himself to think over the Hokage's offer. He did not know where to hide in Konoha with the ANBU being well aware of his presence. With that in mind, Anatsu did not look to hide. In fact, he decided to look for a familiar place from his childhood. The memories that this gap in the forest brought were remarkable. It was almost as if nothing had changed. The raging river made enough noise so that shinobi in the distance could not hear him training. The trees gave him enough cover. As for the sky? The trees provided shade while also having a gap wide enough for moonlight to shine through.

Anatsu had spent many hours here throughout his childhood, working on his ninjutsu. Even in his late twenties, he understood the importance of training. With that in mind, he put himself through a rigorous stamina and endurance taijutsu training session. He trained to the point of exhaustion and defeat. He needed to refine his skills and work on his endurance. Keeping up with the younger shinobi was not an easy task by any means. With that in mind, Anatsu pushed himself during this training. It was a rare opportunity to train freely. He accounted for the fact that anybody could be watching at any given time. With that in mind, he did not practice any ninjutsu or genjutsu. His workouts were limited to taijutsu and other physical activities.

After training from dawn till noon, Anatsu sat on a rock, facing a river. He continued to pant, trying to grasp his breath as he took a sip of water out of a jug he had brought with him.

The Hokage had given him a lot to think about. Even here, in the middle of nowhere, Anatsu did not allow emotion to be visible on his face. However, that didn't mean that there wasn't a lot on his mind.

Hearing that there had been a rogue ninja allowed through the gates, most ANBU agents had been aware of the man's presence. Most who met the man knew of his crimes, however many people like Maru had been kept in the dark about knowing what kind of threat that the missing was. People like Maru in particular had been told to avoid making contact with people like these possibly because they were worried about his safety so he was forbidden from making contact with missing nins unless accompanied by one someone.… but he didn't listen to the warnings about meeting with a criminal alone.

Living within where the clan houses were, it wasn't hard to find the man, after all he did have to keep guard of one of the ANBU trainee’s due to the fact that there had been people looking to kidnap and experiment on the trainee. So while he was scanning the area he found a man, sitting on a rock facing the river, the young shinobi had been at least a few meters away so the man probably wouldn't notice him standing there. Maru haven't seen this man around the village before, he did mostly knew most of the people around the village and this man wasn't a man he'd would exactly forget. Not to mention this wasn't a popular place to be hanging around, nor was is a popular place to fish so Maru decided to approach the man.

Maru was pretty thin, he looked around 5’7, extremely young looking in appearance with a plastic smile on his face. He wore black dress pants, with a black dress shirt, a purple tie, and a black vest to match his dark outfit. He dons chains around the waist and pockets, jet black length hair, with black fingerless gloves for easier movement when he is puppeteering. As he approached, he called out to the man to get his attention. "Tired already, hm? Exhaustion is one problem with being a person of the flesh, that and bleeding. “ the boy spoke as if he didn't have the disadvantages of being human, and truth be told he didn't. He was what people would call a human puppet, a living doll that contains a soul of a half demon at its core. Bleeding, sweating, and exhaustion don't apply to him anymore thanks to the Hokage’s help in transforming him into a weapon.

“Names Dokuso Maru, I prefer Maru for short. So who the hell are you musty?” The boy threw out a quick insult after introducing himself. Assuming that the man smelled pretty horrible because of his rather filthy appearance.

“Names Dokuso Maru, I prefer Maru for short. So who the hell are you musty?”

So who the hell are you... musty.

Anatsu heard the words coming from his right. The boy needed to speak up in order for Anatsu to hear him, so Anatsu knew that he was going out of his way to get Anatsu's attention. Let's walk through the thought process of an ANBU Captain.

The kid was either an idiot civilian, or an ANBU of the village hidden in the leaves. Why? Because only two people were likely to bug a random man who was training; An idiot, or a member of the Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai, the special assassination and tactical squad of the village. Why would the ANBU know of Anatsu's presence? Pretty simply, one of the two idiots behind the Hokage spoke too much in the locker room. Or perhaps, this was one of the two idiots behind the masks who accompanied the Hokage at the gates.

He was also dressed pretty oddly for such gorgeous weather. What prompted him to venture this deep into the forest? Probably curiosity if he was the latter of Anatsu's two guesses.

While remaining seated, Anatsu turned his head just enough so that he could see the boy from the corner of his eye. He was too young and too small to be a serious threat to Anatsu. Anatsu would then turn his attention back towards the river, completely ignoring the boy. His training was done and he did promise the Hokage that he'd try to get to know the shinobi around the village. If this was a shinobi, Konoha had already made a bad impression on Anatsu.

Anatsu would then turn behind him, pulling a white towel out of the pile of his belongings, intentionally allowing his headband to fall from the pile. The once proud Konoha forehead protector was on full display for this Maru character. It also immediately gave away Anatsu's identity, as it had a well carved scratch running straight through the village of the forehead protector. Anatsu was clearly a rogue ninja.

Was he the exact one which had recently entered the village? That was up for interpretation. However, Anatsu made it clear to the boy that he was a rogue ninja, on purpose.

"Since you introduced yourself first.." Started Anatsu as he wiped his face. "Uchiha... Anatsu." continued Anatsu as he would then make eye contact with the boy. This was to see if the boy would look away upon hearing that he was an Uchiha, despite not having his sharingan activated.

"Call me musty again and I'll paint your family's walls with your blood." finished Anatsu as he then turned back towards finding the rest of his attire. Anatsu was the least bit concerned with the odd boy behind him.

Please be sure to address what your character does in this situation, thank you!

Maru waited for a response, as the man turning his head to look at the boy. Noticing the KONOHA leaf symbol on full display slashed, he knew that the man was either a rogue ninja or just slashed the symbol as a fashion statement to show his rebellious attitude. But from the sinister aura that the man carried, he was clearly a rogue and was proud about it. However was he the one that came into the village through the gates?

Finally the man made himself known that he was a Uchiha Anatsu.. Maru looking downwards to avoid those sharingan, after all he had made contact with many people of the same clan and even trained a few academy students of the Uchiha clan. He smirked to himself after hearing that little threat of his because Maru did call the man musty. “I see a problems in your master plan Uchiha.”the boy said lifting his head up once the man turned around, he placed his left hand on his hip. “I don't have blood nor any organs. I'm am what you call a living puppet, so your plan for me is ruined musty“ Maru said to the uchiha calling him musty again. If there was one thing that he loved to do, he enjoyed ticking people off. Guess you can say it is s hobby of his, however he wasn't there to fight.

“Using my great detective skills, you must be that missing that came through the gates, hm?” The young shinobi spoke this as a question but his tone made it seem like it was a matter of fact. “What did you do to become a rogue anyway?” He was actually curious what did the Uchiha do to end up being labelled as a criminal. Of course, he also wanted to know what kind of man that he was dealing with because all he knew of was that he was a rogue ninja that had done terrible things. None of those terrible things going into detail of what actions the he do to be label as terrible. Besides if the hokage had actually let in this man, how bad could the guy actually be. He'll find out soon enough.

Maru, or whatever his name was, was begging for a death sentence. The only reason that he wasn't dead already was the fact that Anatsu was simply too tired to bother. He could barely hear him through the noise of the of the raging river. This played into Anatsu's favor as he attempted to focus on that sound and not the sound that the obvious ANBU was making.

He was smart enough to look away from the sharingan. He was not smart enough to shut up. The Uchiha already had negative opinions about the ANBU and Leaf shinobi in general. At first glance, they were weak and undertrained. He assumed that their flaws probably translated as weaknesses on the battlefield. Then again, this wasn't much different than the old Konoha. It was that same weakness which allowed Anatsu to murder several members of the ANBU and runaway unscathed. It was that same weakness which lead to the downfall of the village. Why would he want to associate with such military force ever again?

Anatsu got dressed slowly, despite not taking the time to wash off the sweat or blood which remained on his skin. Anatsu wore black shinobi sandals, with black pants, and a black shirt; cliche.

"I left Konoha." started Anatsu as he slowly put on his forehead protector. He would then turn and face the boy, "That's how you become a rogue ninja." continued "captain obvious" as he threw on his black traveling cloak. He would then turn his back to the boy as he picked up his towel, clearly on his way. "I can show you..." started Anatsu as he smiled. His smile mimicked that of a mad man.

He would then turn towards Maru and finish, "But you wouldn't like the method.".

This time, his big eyes fully displayed his Kekkei Genkai's gift, the sharingan.

Did Anatsu mean he'd put him through a genjutsu and actually show him, or would do to him what he did to those ANBU shinobi on the dreadful night, more than a decade ago?

'Is he seriously not gonna wash his filthy self’ Maru thought to himself, guess being a rogue you forget about personal hygiene. It was times like these he was glad he was a artificial being now, because apparently with becoming a criminal bathing wasn't a factor in their daily routine. Clearly by how Maru acted he wasn't afraid of the man at all, not because he was fearless by no means. He's came into contact with a lot of strong people, and even strong other worldly beings. Thus making him believe that there was nothing that can scare him, however the difference between meetings those people didn't have the kind of darkness that this man had and since he's never actually been up close to one before he was curious just how deep in darkness was the man.

The man gave him a vague answer, telling him a simple. 'I left KONOHA’ which was an obvious answer but what Maru wanted to know was how did he get pass the guards because they had a kid who tried to go missing and he didn't last too long. "Surely it wasn't as easy as you make it seem, Uchiha. Surely there were people there to stop you. So how did you make it pass those people Mr. Smart Ass.” He said, still going out of his way to insult the man but finally he agreed to actually show him how he went rogue. However he wasn't exactly sure what he meant by how he wouldn't like the method. Maru saw the sharingan now on full display, and he instantly got into a combat ready position just in case this might turn into a fight.

"Alright Uchiha show me how ya got pass.” He gave a leering grin, staring right into the man's eye in case he was going to show him through some kind of horrifying genjustu or if he was going end up attacking him. Either probably won't end pretty but his question would be answered...

Anatsu was forced to recall that dreadful night thanks to this Maru character. He was obnoxiously not frightened by Anatsu. Konoha shinobi were something different. They were too dumb and naive to the harsh realities of this world. The fact that this boy did not fear the Uchiha told Anatsu that he probably had never been in a fight to the death situation as a shinobi in his life.

Anatsu sighed as he looked away from the boy, deactivating his sharingan, and began walking away from the training area, heading towards the village.

"I walked out unbothered." answered Anatsu. In reality, he was telling the truth. Leaf ANBU of old knew better than to mess with Anatsu at the time. He continued to walk away from the boy for a few seconds before he took a final step, paused, and began speaking to the boy.

"Your attitude and choice of words indicate to me that you are not scared of death... That indicates that you have experienced something worse than death." Anatsu looked up at the clouds for a moment before he finished.

"If you wish to betray your village and walk your own path, meet me at three blocks from the gates three days from now at midnight. You can see for yourself." finished Anatsu. Instead of exhausting his Mangekyo Sharingan and using the Tsukuyomi, he decided to give the boy an opportunity of a life time; a chance to flee Konoha while accompanied by an S-Class missing ninja.

Anatsu continued to walk away, hoping his offer would stun the boy and let him leave him be.
