Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Checkmate, Master Riyota..." Eito smirked as he leant back in his chair. "Huh?! What?! HOW?! Riyota quickly stood up from the stone chair and examined the squares of the chess table in front of him, searching for his opponent's winning position. The slightly older Shinobi confidently pointed down towards Riyota's white king, surrounded in many ways by black pieces. Riyota slumped back in his chair, dumbfounded, unable to comprehend how that many pieces had escaped his notice. "But I was doing so well...look how close I got to your King!" The brown haired shinobi tapped the black king piece, leaning over the table, hand gripping the side tightly. "That's your issue though, you were so focused on attacking and destroying me, that you failed to defend yourself. Thus you lost, as without the king...you can no longer fight." Eito remarked patronisingly.

Riyota sat again. "That's something that's never made sense to me in this game. The king dies, and everything's over and lost. All the soldiers can't fight anymore...done. Why? Why are they all incapable of fighting just because their king, who really should've stayed off the battlefield considering how damn slow he is, keeled over and died?" He asked, looking from the board to his opponent. "Perhaps the soldier's are demoralized from the loss of their beloved king? It matters not, you lost. You played far too recklessly, My Lord." There was just a hint of venom at Eito's pronunciation of "Lord" as if he felt that such a foolish child shouldn't be allowed to hold any authority over him.

"REMATCH!" "What?" "I want a rematch! This time I'll get you, I-I'll protect the crappy king and everything!" He practically shouted at the man on the other side of the table. "Sir, we have been here for a few hours now. I have better things to do then sit here playing chess with you all day!" Eito retorted, growing slightly annoyed.

"I'll run your errands for this week, please, one more game!" Riyota pleaded. "Is this to impress a certain someone, show them how good you are at planning before you run in somewhere and get yourself blown to pieces?" Eito sighed. "Two weeks, reset the board."

Riyota quickly did so and this time tried his hardest to focus on every aspect of the game, his opponents moves as well as his own. He was given multiple opportunities to take pieces in the early stages, and even though every part of his mind was screaming at him to take them, without assessing the situation first. He resisted, eventually seeing the traps Eito was putting in place. Slowly Riyota started to gain ground, having lost only two pawns to Eito's two Bishops, a Knight and six Pawns. It was becoming ever apparent to the one-armed shinobi that his opponent was not actually all that good at chess...

Speaking of his opponent, Eito was becoming frustrated. He was sitting quite comfortably when Riyota had been practically throwing pieces at him in a classic all out assault tactic. However now that he was taking more than three seconds to ponder a move he was winning massively. Eito glanced up at the man sitting opposite him, he appeared to be thinking hard and didn't return the look. With a trembling hand Eito moved his rook forward three spaces.

Riyota began chuckling, Heh...looks like I'm not too bad when I stop bein' all reckless. Thanks Eito!" He grinned, moving his Queen directly left of Eito's King. "That's...checkmate, right?" The young man said, unsure of himself. Eito said nothing. He simply stood up, stepped away from the chair, and walked away.

"Thanks again Eito! I appreciate the help!" Riyota waved him off, smiling ear to ear, before looking back to the board. "Man that was boring..." He sighed.
