Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was the middle of the night and Kitsune was in the center of the proving grounds. She was training her art in a most unusual ways. She was sitting in the dark casting a genjutsu on herself and everyone around who can hear her bells. Ever so carefully she molds the illusion into a living breathing life being. She was forming an illusionary creation jutsu to craft herself a little girl to call her own. She gives her white almost porcelain skin, a rose petal for the cheeks. Mix a spoon of stardust into her green eyes and a ribbon of cherry bosom, to do up the hair that has been spun with moonlight. “Shall I even steal the song of the nightingale for her?” A pink dress and silk lace shall clothe her enchanting slender arms and legs. In her arms she dearly hugs and plush dog which she loves. The little girl newly formed sleeps soundly in Kitsune’s lap. With a smile she brushes a hand through her golden locks. She always wondered what it would be like to be a mother and here she is with a figure that looked no older than eight. She did not care if she was not real. She would not care if others knew what she is or can’t even see her. This was her daughter. This was her little “Kiki. I shall name you Kiki.” She takes the slumbering child hugging her close and sings to her a lullaby. The little one stirs a little as Kitsune cuddles her, but she did not wake. A small hand grasps on Kitsune’s clothes and she sings.
Come stop your crying
It will be alright
Just take my hand
Hold it tight

I will protect you
From all around you
I will be here
Don't you cry

For one so small,
You seem so strong
My arms will hold you,
Keep you safe and warm
This bond between us
Can't be broken
I will be here
Don't you cry

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always

Why can't they understand the way we feel?
They just don't trust what they can't explain
I know we're different but deep inside us
We're not that different at all

And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

Don't listen to them
'Cause what do they know?
We need each other
To have, to hold.
They'll see in time
I know

When destiny calls you
You must be strong
I may not be with you
But you've got to hold on
They'll see in time
I know
We'll show them together

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
I'll be there from this day on,
Now and forever more

Oh, you'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always
Always
I'll be with you
I'll be there for you always
Always and always
Just look over your shoulder
Just look over your shoulder
Just look over your shoulder
I'll be there always.

"Here I was thinking I had to be the craziest person to walk and I stumble upon this scene."<i></i> Cackles poured from his lips as he moved about the edges of the proving grounds. Once he was in motion it would be hard to miss his massive form. Red lines ran along his body like veins of magma running down the side of a mountain. His black skin shimmered ever so slightly against the moon light as pearl white knives. Dripping every so often from his teeth and lips came a caustic solution, thought it caused no harm to himself. Upon contact with the world outside his body, however, the vile liquid burned, hissed, and sputtered until it dissipated shortly after eating into the ground.

His bright red eyes darted about, observing if anyone else was really about, and some were likely meandering about, but such didn't matter. It wasn't like Sarunishi was hunting. He was just out for a stroll of his own before he decided to investigate the songs that seemed to be popping up all over the place. "So question is what kind of madness made you. I'm not one to go into unpleasant details, but it must have been monstrous given how absolutely bonkers you look. I mean, compared to you, I'm the shining pinnacle of sanity."<i></i> And more cackles came. They split the air like lightning with their sharp hyena's cadence. He licked his lips ever so lightly to clear the remnants of venom from his skin before his eyes locked upon her. He was truly curious what kinds of people lived in this land. It had simply been far too long.

[Sorry 'bout the wait]

“Madness comes with the territory I’m afraid,” she says with a laugh. Kitsune then looks at the source of where the voice was coming from. She raised an eyebrow at the sight for his appearance was indeed interesting. However being the fact that she has traveled across the world all her life she has seen quite a lot of strange creatures. With a snap of a finger the illusionary child was gone. “I am an illusionist and sometimes I get a little caught up in my work.” Kitsune jumps up, does a handstand she and walks around him on her hands. She liked his skin; how the blackness shimmered in the moonlight was beautiful and the red streams running down his form made it look fairly stunning. “My name is Kitsune, I’m the local gypsy.” She then with one arm pushes herself off the ground and lands on training dummy. On the dummy’s head she sat like an umpire. “So what’s your name? Are you from Stone?” She is still relatively new to the village and hasn’t met everyone quite yet. So it is very possible to her that he could be a stoner like her.

"I'm from nowhere you'd know. Such a place is long since gone child."<i></i> Sarunishi's eyes just followed her simple movements. Without much warning he sat down and steam rose from his body as he did so. The air around him would continue to grow increasingly hot. This was something that was always to be there, but he could make it less of an issue if he truly tried. His left leg was placed similar to sitting for some yoga and his right leg had his knee bent up as his foot sat flat on the ground. He didn't need to watch much of her movements. If she touched the ground or moved that dummy then he'd know where she was. He let his eyes relax a bit as his right arm nestled into the same sided leg and his knife like fingers began to tap upon his chin. Talon like toes flexed every now and then either digging into the dirt or cutting the air.

"My name is Sarunishi. The first of my name. A name I am sure none have tried to replicate."<i></i> His smile never faded. He just continued to stare at the other girl as he remained seated. Onlookers very specifically avoided the area upon Sarunishi becoming completely visible. Others would have potentially milled through on their ways home or for similar reasons to Kitsune, but now it was becoming a bit more vacant by the moment. "Not much use for a gypsy in a world where most everybody is special. Right?"<i></i> The biting tongue of Sarunishi's heart. His guest. His soul. Every now and then it absolutely loved speaking up.

Sarunishi had a very narrow view of the world if that is what he believed. She wonders if all shinobi believed everyone was like them. Did they truly believe the manipulation of chakra is common place? Kitsune has been to many villages and knows that there are far more normal people than shinobi. If everyone had powers what need would there be for a shinobi? Who would hire them for missions? However he could just mean the small world that is Iwagakure, though even in the village of stone there were some basic civilian with no innate talents. “Gypsy magic is different from the shinobi arts. I assure you what makes me special makes me stand out. I can perform a demonstration if you like. I promise it to be entertaining.”

"What makes us all special makes us stand out. You can do whatever you like. I've seen or experienced it before. It is all the same. I'm far too old for otherwise."<i></i> These words were far more harsh in their nature than Sarunishi's more common, gregarious speech patterns. Thus was the nature of his inner beast. Without a name, without a purpose beyond coexisting, and without any true distinction from Sarunishi. They were more or less the same being with minor differences. Sarunishi was all about business and pragmatism, in some ways. His other half, however, was about being brusque and little more. For some reason or another, this place and its atmosphere bothered the secondary. Perhaps it was due to the binding or perhaps the shrines erected afterwards to honor the elements that it represented. Perhaps it simply was in a particularly rowdy mood. Whatever the case, it was never the happiest of beings. His fingers flexed as the heat about him increased. "By your people's shamanistic standards, I am unto a god, child. Gypsy magic or otherwise. As I said. Is all the same."<i></i>

His lips pursed and an acrid black smoke billowed gently and began to fill the immediate area. It was likely one of the most toxic conversions Sarunishi had riding within him. As a vector of disease and pestilence, this was simply a biproduct of his being alive. He was simply a blight and would need eradication at some point. Would this girl, however, decide it was time to strike him down now or let him spread his malevolent ways.

Kitsune instinctively backs off from the sight of the smoke for it did not look friendly. Kitsune was starting to feel a little concerned; not just about her wellbeing but his as well. Keeping her distance she spoke to the strange man, “are you alright? I’m a shaman in training. I could do a healing melody or something.” She was unsure if her powers would be enough and debated calling the other shamans over her headset. The man mentioned being like a god. Maybe this sickness was the price for such powers.

[Sorry for the delay. Work and all]

"You're terrible at listening. I'm perfectly healthy. It was, I do believe, people like said shamans who did this to me. But you're far too young to understand. It's all propaganda. It's a bigger cancer than I am."<i></i> Cackling, the smoke pulled itself back into Sarunishi's body as the immediate heat of the area lifted yet again. Getting too close to Sarunishi at this point would result in flesh sizzling and potentially longer exposures would result in drastic damage. His fingers flicked a bit as he lifted himself from the ground to expose his full height over six feet. His bright red eyes locked onto her and he bowed before releasing an exceptionally potent steam from his body. It would also be exceptionally hot, but it would obscure everything in the immediate area and his body would simply be unobservable. He would just be gone.
