Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Survival 101: Student Teacher Edition

Shouyu had received some kudos for his answer as so did the rest of the class. He too was surprised the students were doing so well for themselves and the twins he seemed to have an eye out for. Maybe he was just thinking of it too much, but they did appear very competitive as he noticed getting to their current position he was passed up by one of the students. He took note of the twins mentally. Akio then went from hunting to finding water. That's when Shouyu jumped from the tree to the ground with a silent thud, transferring his chakra into his feet and up his shins to silence his landing, even the leaves he landed on remained the same without a single crunch of a dry leaf. He was getting used to mastering all the stealth skills of a ninja, rather being his usual loud and energetic self, he would save that mode for the battles he would face.

Komora lead the way, tracing trails of several animals that seemed to be heading to and from the same directions, that could easily determine a common ground between the animals where water could be or a grazing ground. Soon Komora broke off, Shouyu followed at a moderate pace for as they grew deeper in the forest he knew of more dangerous such as the wild animals. So he kept two ears and an eye out for anything unexpected.

They soon found a contraption probably made by a hunter or someone traveling, it was definitely used to collect water over an extended period of time. But why would anyone just leave it here, not even reap the benefits of their hard work, or even try to cover it up so that ninjas like us wouldn't find it be aware. He immediately took this as a sign and pause before his class and looked around.

"Akio... Don't you think someone would have been expecting to come back and get the water they worked for? Or at least cover up their tracks? This seems rather... suspicious.."

Regardless of his answer from a standing position Shouyu would leap high, leaving a circle of wind and rustling leaves in his place, some even falling from his journey upward into the high branches where he activated his Byakugan to get a visual of the surroundings. His eyes searched to and fro but found nothing in the immediate area, or so he thought.

Kazuma’s grin he began to quickly fade as he saw his brother simply return to his book after walking over to him. “You have got to be kidding me” He thought to himself. Karasu was always like this, going from action to action while still gaining knowledge in other places. Kazuma scratched his head in childish frustration, he had wished to talk to his brother but it seemed he simply wanted to return to his book. Kazuma gave off a sigh but ultimately decided to not worry about it, it was his brother after all and it was simply one of the ways he got better which would only fuel the rivalry he had with him.
Kazuma looked over to the teacher and her dog, who had just finished rounding out the lesson when he felt a presence next to him. He had no reason to think about who it as, Karasu was obviously irritated. Kazuma grinned a little, he knew why, Karasu was getting distracted and he knew his brother hated being distracted. While normally it would be him causing the distraction Kazuma knew that was not the case and looked around to see who it was. He saw the red eyed girl flick his brothers ear and asked a question, “Probably not the best idea” he told her before his brother spoke, almost anticipating his slightly irritated response. He saw that his brother simply requested to not be disturbed and went back to his book, maintaining the calm attitude which was ever present in the Ryujin Clan. He found the girl interesting though, finally taking note of someone who could get her brothers attention which was a complete reevaluation from his earlier note of her. Still he decided not to worry about it though and turned his attention back to the teachers.
Even though he had went back paying attention he found that they were already moving on and soon they all departed deeper into the forest. Kazuma himself found going through the trees to be much easier than traveling on the ground yet at the same time he was only just getting used to it and so found himself lagging slightly behind. “ I just need to focus on improving” he thought, and started focusing only on how he was moving. Little by little he began to speed up, his speed improving if only a little. Soon however the group ends up stopping suddenly with Kazuma nearly falling of the branch he had just arrived on due to focusing too much. Looking down it seemed that the group had come across some sort of contraption, a water distiller by what he could see from his low branch. Kazuma didn’t think it was uncommon, yet the distiller’s presence here had to mean something and he found himself interested in finding out what. As if responding to his thoughts he soon heard the genin boy speak and immediately jump to the branch above him, his veins soon became visible. “Hey what is that you are doing there?” He yelled up at the boy.

“Well of course I know who put this here. Komora did.” He told them. “You may not have realized this, but Komora has all but driven out other predators from this part of the forest. I guess you could say that we are deep in the heart of her territory now” Akio chuckled. “Oh by the way. I hope you guys were paying attention when you were following her. She was purposely trying to make you lost.” Akio nodded thoughtfully. “Or maybe you’ve realized how far we’ve come into the forest and in what direction Hm?” The dog looked up at the cannopy that solidly blocked the sun. The dog’s gaze returned to the group as Komora leaned over and drank from the distiller, via a straw that was poking out of it. “You lot may have realized that Yuii sensei didn’t follow us.”

“So we’ved explained and demonstrated how to survive, but now its time to put your techniques into practice. I know Komora has an unfair advantage since this is her part of the forest but...” He gestured to her as she looked around without any kind of thoughts in her head. Or so it seemed. “If she catches you she is going to make sure no one is ever able to find your corpse. Oh… and make sure you watch out for the traps she was laying all around the place. If you trip one of those wires you’ll be in trouble since her traps are all poisoned with a neurotoxin.” He told them. “Now I’ll give you about thirty seconds before I tell Komora to kill you all. 30...29...28...3…2 just kidding. 27...26...25...24...23...22...21...” Akio began his countdown to when he would tell the girl to attack.

Shouyu relaxed his eyes, finding nothing and hearing one of his classmates call out to him. He looked down, and lowered himself to within range of him as well. He spoke to him in a light manner to not disrupt class. His voice was calm, though his eyes were focused on what was happening below.

"It's the art of my kekkai genkai. We hyuuga are gifted with eyes that could see the chakra network of all living things.. Uhm... Heat vision if you would."

It was the best explanation he could give at the moment. Akio then kept talking as if the class was going be wrapped up soon. His words of being led deep into the forest, Shouyu did realize how deep they went. Here, lots of viciously large animals could attack at any time. His eyes widened at Akio's statements. Finally, they were to end with a game of hide and seek? Apparently Komora was to chase them, like her prey. He pondered quickly the direction they came, but it was a sure thing that Hoshi was lost. He sucked his teeth as Akio began counting down and turned, in a dash he dipped out.

Like a feather foot, his feet barely made any sound with little contact of the grass bed. His eyes still activated and envisioning many chakra sources. He had to make sure to not get caught by a trap, they sounded dangerous and one shot would probably put him out for good. He could have hit any trap anywhere, he kept look out for ninja wire shimmering in the right light, if he had seen it he would duck, jump, maneuver his way into safety, but still lost in the forest.

”Bwhahaha look at him run!” Akio said as he watched Shouyu bolt into the wilderness. There was of course no traps. The rest of them had just stood where they were He shrugged. Its not like he was going to have Komora kill them anyway. ”Heh. The true teacher is experience. Try to find your way out on your own alright? Lets go Komora.” With that Akio trotted into the brush with Komora closely in towe. They paused briefly as Akio looked back at them. “Yeah, feel free to use that water distiller if you need it. You can follow us if you’re not feeling up to the challenge but you all sound like you know what you’re doing. Kill a bear with your bare hands for extra credit.”

They were a bunch of know it alls anyway. Why were any of them even in the academy still? They acted like they were fully matured adults… wait no. There was that one girl, she definitely acted her age, not that it was a bad things but the others acted like they were cold hearted killers already. He gave Komora a face as he briefly wondered what battle would turn her into. Would the fires of battle change her? It was hard to know.

The pair of them walked at a leisurely stroll as they followed the careless path left by the Hyuuga. Akio would point and laugh at all the tact that he had managed in his escape. ”guess he was serious about surviving.” Akio hummed. Komora looked at his tracks and frowned. ”No. He doesn’t want to fight Komora. That is all.” Komora stated her insight into Shouyu’s soul as she stepped along side the dog. The dog paused and gaped at her. She was always surprising him. Why should this time be any different from all of those other times?

Byakugan huh…” Kazuma Thought to himself. The thought of heat vision seemed kinda cool and he soon found himself blanked out on the the thought. Soon enough he was brought back to reality thanks the hyuuga boy running off. “Hey where are you going!” Kazuma yelled off to him only to realize he was already too far to hear him now. Deciding to jump down he looked around at his fellow classmates and teacher who had still remained. Kazuma had a bad habit of just phasing out into thought and so he assumed that he must have missed something important that caused the boy to run off like he did.
He looked over to the teach and the dog who began laughing. “Was they playing a joke? Looks like that poor boy took it more seriously than the rest of us did.” He thought as he scratched his head. After hearing the final words from his instructors he watched as they began walking off, seemingly in the same direction as the boy. Kazuma assumed they probably knew where they were going as they were not running off but rather walking which made sense. His stomach began to growl and he knew exactly what time it was.
Well if class is over I think I will follow you guys to get out of here, after all this running I am a bit too hungry to try and survive out in the forest right now” He said as he began walking behind them with his arms behind his back. Taking a second to look back at his brother he yelled off to him “I am sure our parents made fine supper we won’t have to worry about hunting down so I would rather go eat that. I will see you at home kay!” and continued to walk off.

Shouyu was back into the plain field where the class had started. He noticed during his way there was no traps and he spent a lot of extra effort on nothing. He cringed, and clicked his teeth. He probably had been made a fool of by Akio. Hoshi placed both hands behind his head and poured off.

As he did he would mumble in resentment of Akio, looking like a poor child deceived and sore about being the butt of a bad joke. Although, he was glad he could complete another class and add its to his list of accomplishments.
