Character's Physical Description:
Monzaemon Marushijūkyū (or just Shikyuu as often referred to) has orangish red hair and eyes, and do tend to gravitate towards those colors for his garments - perhaps also because when he came to Kumogakure, he was wrapped in such color.

He keeps his hair not too long, although its partial curliness do make it look messy for the most part. Shikyuu is approximately 1m80 tall, and has an above-average, toned muscle build. Since his arrival in Kumogakure, Shikyuu had become quite a bit tanned.

Character's Mental Description:
Monzaemon Marushijūkyū (or just Shikyuu as often referred to) is one of the more inquisitive Monzaemon Marus that Kumogakure received, and also a bit more intelligent - showing that they were not all created equal (however they were created). So far he is loyal to Kumogakure, and a mind meld by some of Kumogakure’s finest Yamanaka revealed nothing to be wary of.

Shikyuu has learned to be relatively polite towards everyone, though as a blank slate of sorts, he can sometimes come across too frankly. For the most part though, he tries to be as aware as he can of whether he is causing any angst or otherwise. In the end of the day though, as a blank canvas, he is still very susceptible to picking up personalities, traits, and other characteristics of other people. Surely though, he will eventually settle into something concrete.

Other than that, Shikyuu seems to be quite normal mentally. Not insane.

Character History:
Monzaemon Marushijūkyū (or just Shikyuu as often referred to) is born of the famed puppeteering Monzaemon clan, although within Kumogakure it had never exceptionally stood out. Years ago the Monzaemon clan kind of fell out of history in Kumogakure. It was not that they were not around, however these tended to be fringe clan members, whose bloodline and puppeteering techniques were not absolutely pure.

What the Monzaemons did while hidden is for the most part unknown, until very recently when a pair of Monzaemons appeared at the gates of Kumogakure. A couple, they referred to themselves as Monzaemon Gimaru and Monzaemon Mimaru and told their story of how they were one of many Monzaemons tasked with preparing the future of Kumogakure. During periods of upheavals, the Monzaemons would become increasingly restless and determined to prepare for the future. Some would prepare last-resort options, while others would research means to adapt and evolve. Over the past few decades, Monzaemons had slowly either hid away within the darkest corners of Kumogakure, or left the village one way or another to prepare for the village’s future. Gimaru and Mimaru in particular was tasked with particularly ethically questionable experiments to mass produce a generation of Monzaemon shinobi, ready to be adapted by Kumogakure for whatever they might need next.

Eventually Gimaru and Mimaru had to come out of hiding to discuss matters with Kumogakure. Despite the unethical nature of their research, the truth was that as a militaristic society, Kumogakure’s leaders were not exactly too worried about the ethics of certain activities, especially when it has already been performed, and now had militaristic value. They agreed to accept these Monzaemons to the fold, ‘blank slates’ as per Gimaru and Mimaru’s description.

Box and box were shipped in, in each of them a Monzaemon. Amongst those that were sent over was Monzaemon Marushijūkyū. An odd name for sure, given that ‘maru’ tended to be reserved for the end of a name. In truth, there was just a mis-interpretation of the names given to these Monzaemons. Monzaemon Marushijūkyū’s true name is in fact just Monzaemon Maru, and the other bit literally his numerical denomination. However, it stuck, and since then he had came to be known as Marushijūkyū - or Shikyuu (literally just Four-Nine) for short.

There was a question of what to do with these Monzaemons during their initial receipt, given that they were almost absolute blank slates with no training whatsoever, nor any knowledge of their elemental affinities, bloodline characteristics, or anything else. When they were tested, it turned out that they were not only well-rounded physiologically, but were also highly intelligent. It was decided that as essentially high-ranking shinobi sans the actual jutsu bit, it was best to throw them into the fray from the start, with the belief that they would quickly adapt and develop to the highest level they can.

Thus, Shikyou was assigned the rank Chuunin, and ready to be sent on his first assignment. Although perhaps some preliminary training might be a good idea first...

Mental Description: Seems fine.
Character History: Not on board with the whole idea of someone not under direct Cloud control essentially growing people, or the blanket acceptance from the village leadership as "years ago" would put it squarely in either Akira Saitos reign or Hayata Shins reign. Shin would undoubtedly have been against it (being a man of peace) and Saito might've beheaded them on account of being straight up unnatural. - So if these things could be changed, to incorporate more village lore perhaps, that'd be amazing, because the idea is pretty great.

New Physical Appearance:

Marushijūkyū has fluffy, semi-curly orangish red hair that kind of always just did what it wanted, flowing in various different directions. His eyes are a lighter color compared to his hair, though from different angles can appear light brown, golden yellow, or slightly orange. He has a scar on his right cheek, which is a remnant from the many surgeries he had to undertake. Apparently, whatever the regenerative fluid was, it was capable of healing all of his scars except this single one. Mednin Chief Sendatsu explained to him afterwards that the scar on his face was previously much larger, running almost criss-cross over his entire face. It was lucky that it was able to heal to this extent, though why no further, could not be explained.

As a Chuunin, he is proud to wear his vest at all times, although of course in the cold climate of Kumogakure, he tended to also have a jacket over the top. Otherwise, nothing is too remarkable about him, except that he had a decorative armlet on his right arm, and a decorative necklace he always wore. He was told that a specific family from the village he was in wore them like a family identifier of sorts, and had no idea how they came to be in his possession. Marushijūkyū had hypothesized that he might have been in his previous life a member of this family, but that was just as likely as he having been a Jounin assigned to the village.

As Marushijūkyū is quite… outgoing, he generally appears everywhere with a smile on his face. Some of the other patients take their reality quite negatively, but Marushijūkyū simply took it as a chance to live and make the best of a whole new life.

New Mental Description:
Marushijūkyū is one of the more inquisitive Monzaemon Marus, and one with quite the positive outlook on life. Examination of his mental state revealed that he truly does not remember most things from his past, except that he seemed to have an innate ability to perform some jutsus and that he knew the language spoken by Kumogakurians.

Marushijūkyū has learned to be relatively polite towards everyone, though as a blank slate of sorts, he can sometimes come across too frankly. For the most part though, he tries to be as aware as he can of whether he is causing any angst or otherwise. Generally, given his inquisitiveness, and once knowing about his past - which he does not hide - people tend to give him more leeway.

New History:
In the year 56, a village suffered from a plague that much like two years ago in Kumogakure, mutated citizens into hideous beasts. The entire village and many Shinobi on duty there were all afflicted. Despite a similar modus operandi, the two situations seemed to be not exactly connected. Those afflicted in this second plague fell into a coma soon after their mutations, never truly going on a rampage or similar. The village was eventually quarantined and attended by Shinobi from the Monzaemon clan. While the plague was quickly contained, it did not prevent a number of the Monzaemons attending to be afflicted with the disease too.

Monzaemon Sendatsu, a senior Mednin Chief managed to eventually deduce the cause of the mutations to be an invasive micro-organism, and managed to concoct a serum to act both as a treatment and vaccine for the micro-organism. However, he quickly found out that the mutations were permanent, and that when the bacteria died off, the bodies began to die. Having to act quickly, he and his team of Mednins engaged in emergency surgeries across the board, cutting off mutations and saving as many lives as possible, and having to rely on transplants from bodies of the freshly dead just to have enough organs for all the living.

What followed afterwards in the village was relatively unknown, as walls were soon erected around the village and a large amount of equipment were brought in. It was all quite hush hush, though in reality the Monzaemons and Mednins were just busy trying to keep their charges alive, in large vats of regenerative fluids.

Two years on, and many of the patients had finally recovered enough to be awakened. Unfortunately... all the surgeries and the affliction had seemed to cause every single patient to have lost the majority of their memory, and the surgeries had altered many of the patients' characteristics so drastically that they had became unrecognizable by any family members or friends they might have had. Interestingly, the transplants had made some of those believed to previously be your average everyday villagers to have developed a chakra system capable of shinobi-like feats. With no one to take them home, and with powers brewing in them, in the end, Sendatsu adopted every single one of his patients into his clan.

He initially came up with 'Monzaemon Maru' as a placeholder name for each of them, before assigning them a number. Someone amongst all the patients actually liked the idea, and adopted a name based on the designation. Soon, everyone followed suit, wanting to keep a reminder of the fact that they were one amongst many saved by the amazing Shinobi of Kumogakure. As the patients continued to recover, the Shinobi present continued nonetheless to try to help everyone adjust.

One patient in particular, who took on the name Monzaemon Marushijūkyū, was quite special as he had on him a headband from Kumogakure. Checking of databases revealed however no Shinobi that was on duty in the village with his facial features, although there was one with his color hair, and two with his color eyes. A hypothesis was developed that Marushijūkyū had to have had head surgeries of some sort, and either/or of his eyes or hair must have been transplanted.

After checking up that everything about Marushijūkyū more or less checked out, he was accepted back into the village. A check of his abilities indicated that Marushijūkyū was able to perform a number of jutsu just from ‘muscle’ memory alone. While a check of databases found that only Jounins were assigned to the village when the plague broke out. However, his skills were not up to par to be re-assigned Jounin status, or even Chuunin status initially.

Instead, Marushijūkyū was assigned a supervisor of sorts, who trained him over a period of a month to eventually get him up to par to be able to head out on missions. Eventually, between deliberation between Genin or Chuunin status, he was given Chuunin status with the belief that based on checks of his capabilities, he would be able to quickly pick up the skills necessary to be a full fledged Chuunin.

I er, also want to buy and master a Jutsu. I suppose the easiest way might be to just buy with what I got after the refunds and stuff. So.
