Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

❏ Character's Physical Description:

[spoilername="Physical Properties"]As a youth, Jisei was a small and scrawny looking. His skin was a deep shade of umber, marginally darker and more rich than the earthen clay of the wastelands. His eyes were large, and a deep dark dun shade of brown. His hair was different from most, each strand of hair growing in a tiny, spring-like helix shape. The effects of which caused his hair to ultimately be tightly coiled yet wiry in nature, colored black and wooly in texture. His lips were full and soft, and his nose somewhat short and rounded without much of a bridge. Regardless of his uncommon features, there was a general handsomeness the way it was put together. His firm jawline foretold of a stern nature, and his large eyes were widened with inevitable reflex as opposed to fear.

As an adult however; it had been years since anyone had seen even a sliver of his skin. Always in full gear, the uncanny young man he once was remained only in the memories of those who knew him then. Now, Jisei appears to be little more than the mask and his small arsenal. Standing at approximately six feet tall, his broad shoulders and lean but muscular frame shone through his chosen garments with ease. The long black hooded jacket that he wore seemed intertwined with the armor beneath it. An expressionless mask hid away this human face long ago, making impossible to see the eyes or anything except abysmal darkness where there was no mask. The unique composition of his armor makes it so that even the most advanced Doujutsu cannot see the man beneath.

The pair of shotguns he carries are unique in their design, and completely unmistakable. Seemingly large and bulky, though medium in length, he wields each with a single clawed gauntlet. Unlike most shotguns, the barrels are stacked vertically instead of placed side by side. The primarily black weapon sports silver colored trimmings and a wooden colored grip. Although he wears ammunition visibly, his weapon does not require reloading. Instead of using traditional ammo, his weapons convert his focused energy into assorted blasts. The shotgun shells that he wears were actually used to store a variety of tools. One of them could house medical pills, while another might have been an explosive itself. The unpredictability of his nature demands the same from his utility.[/spoilername]
❏ Character's Mental Description:

[spoilername="Psychological Assessment"]While it's hard for anyone to truly get close to him or understand his personality, a few traits remain consistent and noticeable. With his facial expression completely hidden by his skull-shaped mask, his actions are what define his persona the most. Although a member of the Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai of Sunagakure no Sato, it's duly noted that the mission does not come first for him. Throughout the years, record shows Jisei taking risks time and time again in order to make what he feels in his heart is the truly moral decision. Irregardless of this, his record for success is extremely high and any failures usually result from abandoning a mission to bring allies and civilians to safety as a priority.

The aforementioned behavior seems particularly odd when one considers Jisei's lack of a "Social Circle". He doesn't have any friends, and at best the friendly acquaintances he's made has been through his career as a Shinobi. His withdrawn personality has caused others to think of him at times as being arrogant, or give the impression that he feels he's better than others. The truth is, he simply cannot relate to most. While able to understand others in a way that borders on supernatural empathy, he knows that he himself doesn't function the way that most do. As such, he also knows that others will scarcely understand him or his motivations if at all. It's clear that he finds being in the presence of others for prolonged periods taxing, and almost always leaves gatherings before anyone else. With that in mind, hardly anyone in the village has seen him for years unless called to the same briefing as himself. To the rest of the village, he's more or less a non-existent ghost of a man with a history even his Kazekage doesn't fully understand.

His combat style even in his youth had been described as severely brutal, merciless even. This shows another side to his personality, signs of rage and violence buried deep inside him that he clearly suppresses otherwise. Teaming up with others has been something that he avoids, and safety for himself is something he doesn't seem to care much for or recognize even in conversation. He has a very spiritual nature, and a genuine care for the subtler things in life. Yet, in a world where material obsession has become law, to speak his perspective to anyone else would be a waste of breath more often than not. Even though the quiet rage beneath his shell resurfaces during combat, it's noted that Jisei often turns down missions he doesn't feel is worth his time. Unless he can fully agree with the task at hand, he will refuse to participate and reserve himself to defending the village when attacked instead of choosing from what he deems morally lacking objectives. This has come as a surprise to his superiors, especially considering how likely he is to smear a target's brain matter all over the vicinity using buckshot...

It's also noted that despite his usually reserved facade, Jisei isn't submissive and never displays fear. If anything, he can be quite abrasive and easily disinterested. At times he can be completely self-destructive, operating with wild abandon and wreaking havoc like none other. The most frequent recipient of his unchecked outbursts is himself, which makes him less of a liability to others and more of a threat to himself. Record has it that he's purposely injured himself several times out of anger and frustration, and hospitalized antagonistic peers during his early training sessions without remorse. In some ways he's an independent wild card, but on the other side of that he's almost the perfect selfless sacrifice to get the job done.[/spoilername]

Exordium[/u]"]

Jisei harbors the conjured "Spirit of the Ages", and yet is simply not a vessel for the entity, but an actual part of it. This ancient force has existed since times immemorial, and yet had to grow over seemingly countless millennia in gestation. Archaic and unremembered, the last records about this "Spirit of the Ages" were swept away along with the primordial civilizations that came before the "Ancients". The land of Kaze no Kuni, and the terrestrial plane it existed upon were more ancient than any being could comprehend. Surely each generation and age would claim to have their own answers, or measurements of time with mere approximations and theories. No one knew when the world begun, and no one knew if it would ever end...

In a world where people bent the fantastical energies of Chakra and wield the elements, there was still true skepticism about what defined a spirit. The sardonicism of the big picture was that spiritual qualities were abused and misused daily. Scholars overcomplicated their definitions, confusing the masses either inadvertently or incidentally. Simplistic was the nature of the spirit, representative of that which is intangible. That which is comprised of the nonphysical aspects, such as emotion, intention, consciousness, ideas, and tenaciousness among innumerable other concepts. It was the cultivation and harnessing of these qualities that enabled the first of the Shinobi to tap into their true potential, that much is certain through the fog of antiquity. The mystery of how the Shinobi nations as a whole ultimately strayed from such pursuits is irrelevant, and that the inherited abilities manifest in most clans were often absent spiritual reasoning.

Commonly the spirit is thought of in relation to the human being, easily the most arrogant of fleshy hosts. Still, with the spirit being the driving and animating force in that which lived, it also proved to be that which consists of energy. Energy can neither be be created nor destroyed, only transforming from one arrangement to another. This makes it definitively possible for energy to exist outside the human body, this proven by the flourishing technological advancements of Kaze no Kuni alone. So often Shinobi were trained to lock away their emotions, stifle their humanity while further corruption and tragedy ravaged the land continuosly over time. These feelings of sadness, grief, pain, vengeance... The secrets that fell into the void behind the lips of the dead, and the buried truths of nature all carried an energy of their own. Never extinguished, the unseen essence would gather elsewhere and observe its own genesis.

Primitus[/u]"]

When Jisei first arrived in Sunagakure no Sato, all the circumstances surrounding his appearance simply felt wrong. The Diamond Maelstrom had yet to die down, and still... As a young teenager without any supplies or visible aid stood at the maw of the slain Barynx, seething with a vile and venomous sort of energy. In those days, the village was still beneath the surface of the desert with the almost demonic entrance being the only way in or out. The harsh sands whipped about, grating against the boy's thick skin to no avail as he unleashed an inhuman yell that could turn blood sour, and slammed his fists against the massive doors. Each strike sent resonating waves throughout the elongated corridors and down into the depths. Those designated to respond to such a disturbance at the entrance would quickly arrive, and be overall perplexed by what they would see.

Blood and sand caked itself onto parts of his body and face, while what appeared to be the limbs of unfamiliar men were blown away in the vicious gales. He couldn't have been more than fifteen years old, probably much younger but there was no definite way to tell. Without a shirt, an old pair of jeans were all that covered his lower extremities, while bare feet remained half buried in sand. He appeared alien, with dark skin and wooly hair peppered with grains of earth lodged between strands, and sticky with dried sanguine ichor. His knuckles were stripped down to the bone, revealing the bulging tips of his metacarpals and phalanges lightly framed by serrated flesh. It was self-evident that not only had he been the one pounding at their door, but that he'd been entrenched in combat even until that very moment... Fighting against who or what, for an indeterminable amount of time even through the sandstorm's fury.

Initially he was unresponsive to their questions, but attempted o walk passed them without saying a word. As one of the Shinobi reached out to forcefully prevent entry, the boy would resist until a fight broke out. Already exhausted and damaged from his journey, the young stranger didn't last long against the seasoned guards. With more questions raised by his appearance, the guards would arrest the youth and interrogation was inevitable. Days passed, and the most frequent answers to any questions thrown his way were "Fuck you.", "Fuck yourself.", "Fuck off.", and "If you're gunna' kill me then just do it, you bitch-faced slime guzzlers." It became clear that no amount of intimidation or inflicting of pain was going to make him cooperate.

Those that specialized in abilities that penetrated the layers of the mind found that his psyche was muddled beyond comprehension. Almost nothing could be understand, and the longer one stayed inside the boy's mind the more they themselves began to disassociate from their former selves. It wasn't a technique, it wasn't a power, it was simply the way his mind worked that clashed with all conventional schools of thought. Even the very way his thoughts and priorities were ordered seemed seemed foreign. It was a taxing process that amounted to nothing in the end. Sunagakure no Sato wasn't known as a place that simply gave up on things though, and by finding out what didn't work, they'd make strides towards trying something that would.

Secundus[/u]"]

The boy wanted to die, and that made it hard for threats of any kind to carry much weight with him. Simultaneous investigation on the scattered limbs took place during the more aggressive parts of the boy's interrogation, drawing a number of suspicions. Since the sandstorms hadn't lightened up even a bit since his arrival, the severed body portions traveled far and wide. A couple of units were sent out, and what little they could find made a few things clear. The limbs, torso parts, and other mutilated portions all had something in common... They bore roughly the same shade of skin as the young man himself, and couldn't be identified as any persons known by the inhabitants of Sunagakure no Sato. Although the village itself was home to the Toraono Clan, whom often had variations in their skin color, the Toraono were known for their demonic lineage. The captive child hadn't any pointed ears, tails, claws, or anything of the sort. Neither did his supposed victims. Whomever they were, they and youth himself had come from a similar origins.

This is a W.I.P. (Work in Progress), please do not post here until I have contacted a member of council to do so. I wouldn't want to have to copy and paste the whole thing again. Not sure how quick I'll be finished with this or not, but I wanted to let it sit up at least.
