Name: Takamori Aoi
Age: 13
Physical Description: Aoi spent most of his time reading, cooking and cleaning his caretaker's house; hence, he did not have a lot of muscle or fat in him. Coupled with his history of sickliness, he was almost bony. His skin is smooth and pale, just like his naturally white hair. A pair of thin, pale lips, small nose, small ears and a couple of big and round brown eyes made up his rounded face. As for his body, there are no beauty marks to speak of, no scars to be found and an unusually sparse number of hair dot the boy's body.
The boy usually only wears either a simple white shirt or a grayish tank top on shorts of varying shades of brown finished a pair of broth leather sandals. He takes no interest in accessories, caps and keeps his style simple and comfortable.
Mental Description: Aoi tends be a recluse as that is what he was used to but is steadily working his way toward a somewhat normal level of socialization. He finds talking about small things before moving to heavy and important topics to not be his taste and have startled a lot with his way of conversing. The boy doesn't have a lot of opinion towards a lot of things since he doesn't like giving opinions when he knows so little so he tends to stay quiet in group conversations, even in the ones at their apartment with his caretaker's kind coworkers. As he was showered with kindness and pity all his life, he also does the same for other people and would probably opt for the most peaceful way out of any argument or he would just walk away. In a way, he just runs away from things that make him uncomfortable but not when it affects the things he is passionate about.
As for friends, he hasn't had any his age so at the moment, there is no telling how he would act but one could assume that he would stay quiet a lot of the and hope he fades into the background.
History: Takamori Aoi is the son of two travelling merchants. His mother worked for his grandmother and their story started there. His family never quite settled or registered as citizens of any nation, preferring to travel and buy and sell. Whilst at times their family would take belongings from dead people, they make most of their living from buying what is abundant in one place and selling them at higher prices in another that lacks them. This is the life Aoi grew up with. For the first six years of his life, he spent most of it sickly, lying inside their caravan, tents and rarely ever meeting people, those that do pity him and give him kind smiles. It was this that pushed Aoi into being socially inept and easily discouraged. His parents worried for him as they won't always be there to guard the boy. Hence, they decided they would soon settle in a place to slowly introduce him to society. But even then, his weak immune system will not permit him to do so without dire consequences. And so, they worried on and on, growing more desperate each day. One day, the heavens smiled upon them as a wandering medic chanced upon their caravan and saw the young boy just as she was about the pay up. She inquired about him and took pity upon the sleeping child. She offered her help in exchange for temporarily housing the boy in suna for a while. The couple was told she would do everything in her power to improve Aoi's health and would even help him get into Shinobihood, if Aoi so wishes. With a lot of hesitation, the couple agreed and gave him to her. The shinobi gave them her address and assured them they can always take their boy anytime. They gave the boy a flute as a parting gift and prayed to the heavens that this was the right decision.
Time flew by and Aoi grew up in Suna, or rather inside his caretaker's apartment. It took a lot of time for his health to improve but thankfully it did. He wasn't as sickly anymore and the medic soon had hope that he would be able to start socializing. His parents came to visit usually a week every two months to six months, giving him various gifts from various countries. The gifts he treasured the most, to their delight, were recipe scrolls, and exotic fruits and vegetables. They were so sure Aoi was gonna be a great cook that they gave him a lot of recipe scrolls, books and what not to help him along. Of course his medic caretaker helped a bit and was actually really glad her charge took interest in something she wasn't very good at.
Time flew by, and Aoi started taking interest in what the medic does. She smiled and told him everything he wanted to know but worried that the boy would soon want to be a Shinobi. She knew the life of Shinobi was dangerous; even medic's lives are in danger. She tried dissuading him but Aoi quietly apologized that he really did want to be a great medic like her. Disarmed by flattery and sincerity, she acquiesced but was later bombarded with worry on what Aoi's parents might think when they come to visit. They had a long talk when Aoi's parents did visit but never did Aoi ever give in. They have never seen such determination in the boy's eyes since Aoi started to like cooking. With a heavy sigh, they finally consented and Aoi was enrolled into the local academy at thirteen years of age.
