Physical Description:Yami is fairly tall for his age, he stands at 5ft. 2in. tall and is a smaller more slender build. In spite of his more slender size he is dense in muscle, this being due to having a high metabolism allowing him to retain his muscle mass but burning off most of his body fat with little effort. He wieghs roughly 120 lbs. mostly consisting of muscle wieght. He has a very pale skin tone almost gray looking caused by his tendancies to reside in dark areas around water. His hair is a very dark jet black and moderately long, he only shows one side of his face and keeps the other side concealed behind his bangs. He has a fair number of tattoos and piercings, multiple simple silver studs above his eyes, one stud alongside the lower right side of his nose, 2 on his bottom lip, and quite a few along the outside of both of his ears. He has one special earring hanging from the bottom of each ear resembling a 9 much like the necklace worn by the rikkudo sennin and the projectiles used by susanoo. He has a neckace like tattoo with the same "tomoe" 9 shaped symbol as his earrings. He has a skull tattoo on both his arm and left upper torso, and a flame like tattoo wrapping around his right forearm from his elbow to his wrist. He normally wraps a long black chain 3 times around his torso running from his right shoulder to his left hip. He wears a black loose fitting robe like shirt over his torso that tucks into a thick heavy cloth belt, but he prefers to only wear the left side and leaves the right side hanging from his belt exposing his tatoos, his left arm remains covered by the long sleeves that cover up to his left palm. His left arm though concealed is wrapped in a very thick yet narrow bandage much like a bandage wrap made out of thick cloth. A small chain running from the front of his belt on his right side to the rear of his belt on his right side, similar to a wallet chain tucks into the top of his belt and hangs down to just above his knee and has a small silver spike every 3 links. He wears very long black fuedal samurai style pants (the type shinigami wear in the bleach series) that appear to be made of a very thick and tough yet satin type cloth. Typically while traveling he wears an oversized pitch black hood with the inside being a blood red color, the hood is attached from the inside under the back collar section so as to be tucked inside while not in use. He has very vibrant bright red eyes that can appear to shine like glass. On his back there are a number of scars appearing to be from a katana like blade that are old and faded from healing but a true testimate to his past.
Mental Description:In most cases Yami is an introverted but carefree individual. Around strangers and generally in public he would barely notice anything or anyone outside of his own focus, He doesnt care for people or social interaction unless someone or something appeals to him. Around his friends or other associates while he is still quiet he can tend to be rude or sarcastic though honest. He typically remains calm in almost any situation and his facial expression tends to remain lifeless yet due to his unnaturally red glassy eyes can seem nearly not even human. When faced with dire straights or tough circumstances his inner demeanor will show, he normally keeps his true more dangerous personality in his own head but a level head is hard to keep when faced with high stakes. His true mentality kept in his own mind is more ruthless and kill or be killed, he knew from a young age that to survive he would have to relinquish his humanity to attain the strength he desired. When faced with tough odds he remains quiet yet fully focused but rather than calm he relentlessly strikes at his opponent or shields whomever he is trying to protect with no reguard for his own injuries or life. He will let go of all honor and fight in any way his bodily limitations will allow. He will even run into an oncomming attack or weapon just to catch his opponent off guard to attempt a fatal blow. He makes an effort to stay calm all he can and avoid memories of his past, all in an effort to hide his insanity so he would have a chance at upholding his deceased mothers wishes for him to have comrades and friends he can trust.
History:Yami Takikage who is actually known by simply Yami was born to the head of the dying Takikage clan of Iwagakure and a little known jonin of Iwagakure. His mother was a jonin of iwagakure but was also a misfit, she was introverted and a coward not to mention she hated following the customs of iwagakure and dreamt of traveling to kumogakure. His father was the leader of the Takikage clan, a mysterious and hated clan of Iwagakure, they were shunned as demon shamans and bringers of evil, though really the customs the Takikage followed did not align with the teachings of the rest of Iwagakure but they were a feared clan so many were hesitant to challenge them. The misfit of Iwa and the demon of the waterfall as his father was known found that they got along well with one another and thus started a family. The first two years of Yami's life were rough, the small family caught negitive attention from the rest of the Takikage family who believed in sticking with thier own clan, and from small groups of tradition purists who did not like others breaking the traditions they hold so dearly. After those first years though, Yami's father grew cold and cruel and started abusing his own family and demanded they bend to his will. In the following years once Yami was a little older than 5 his father relentlessly abused him, made him work till he could no longer stand, and made him kill other children his own age, all while spouting nonsense. He claimed he was trying to create a perfect human weapon out of Yami, to break his humanity and create an obediant soldier to exact his revenge. This went on for years until Yami turned 9 and they were Ambushed by thier pursuers who had finally caught up to them and moved ahead to trap them.. Yami's father attempted to fight them off and held strong for a while but the number of assailants overwhelmed him and he was struck down, Yami's mother, being a shinobi, knew there was no way to beat them and defended Yami, however when she was bout to be struck Yami took the hit to his back and was knocked to the side injured but not fatally wounded. His mother spoke to him softly asking him to live on and unlike her try to make friends and live a fullfilling life. She was then killed and they dragged Yami off and proceeded to beat him with dull knives and other metal items such as building scraps and jagged pipe among what ever other items they had with them to use in the act of injuring thier foe. They hit him in the back mostly and had no intent to kill but more to take out the rest of thier rage on him. A jeweler of Maruishi happened to be nearby hearing the disturbance and rescued Yami. He deterred thier rage and said he would raise the boy to be a shinobi. Sure enough he entered the shinobi academy of Iwagakura and while he makes a small effort to grant his mother's wishes he more seeks to become powerful and become a legend that will be remembered for centuries.
