Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

As he made his approach towards the structure that dominated the landscape Doku couldn't help but wonder why anyone at all would want to live in such a desolate place. Now it would be fair to say that there is beauty to be found everywhere but he was certainly struggling to see it at this point. The structure itself had a certain majesty though and Doku thought that it might be nice inside for those that were allowed in but he himself wouldn't be stopping.

"I hope they don't take kindly to strangers, I need an excuse to stretch my muscles." he muttered to himself, not really caring that this made him seem crazy. He pulled his dark cloak tighter around him and sunk into it's folds in an attempt to disguise his identity as he made his final approach on what he assumed served as the gates to this underground realm. Not slowing his stride he simply attempted to walk in, barely deviating to avoid checkpoints and guards. If he was quick enough and seemed harmless enough they might let him slip by while they dealt with more pressing concerns.

There weren't all that many people moving about but there was enough that they proved a sufficient distraction for your run of the mill guard as he moved through the entry way, but it was the truly exceptional guards he needed to watch out for and to whom he hoped his presence was an open invitation for a fight.

[OOC] Posted again as previous attempt at entering village was invalid.

The wind whistled in Kanmuri’s ears as he sat perched at the Ssunagakure Gates. The young ANBU in training had not yet gotten used to the constant hours of required perching at the gates that was required of the ANBU. Under the wraps of his bandaged attire, Kanmuri’s scarlet red eyes seemed to glow with bloodlust as they watched the mysterious man cloaked in black. Although inaudible to Kanmuri, it was clear to that the man was murmuring to himself, and that wasn’t the kind of first impression someone wanted to make when approaching a village that was and has been under the threat of war.

With a sigh, the nine year old would crack his bones and stretch as the wandered only continued to make his job harder.

Just why is this guy not slowing down? He’s not an idiot; at his build, he’s not a child. If this guy attempts to cause trouble or worse, if he’s from the enemy lines, there will be blood on the desert sands tonight.

Kanmuri, not being the only guard on duty, signaled to the other ANBU that he’d be the one to handle this situation. There wasn’t much that had to be done. All he’d have to do was ask for his name, identification, former village, reason for leaving and coming to Sunagakure along with an ETD for when the hooded individual would be leaving their great village. But if this person even attempted at using force to get his way, Kanmuri would use him as a scapegoat to prove to the other ANBU on duty why his age wasn’t a reason to look down on him but to respect him even more.

So, Kanmuri would dash from his position to right in front of the man matching his crimson gaze with his own scarlet leer. Kanmuri would not say much at first in order to let the look in his eyes sink into the, now clearly, hooded man’s mind. If he had any common sense at all, he’d see that although the boy standing in front of him was an unintimidating 4’8’’, his stature was no indicator of the strength and, more importantly, the experience he possessed.

Not caring for anything the man would have said during their visual exchange, Kanmuri would not break eye contact and ask in his rather high, prepubescent voice,

“Name, village, identification, reason for departure from last village, reason for coming to this village and estimated length of visit.”<i></i>

There was no stutter. There was no hospitality. There was no sound of life in his voice. Could it have been seen as trying too hard? Absolutely. However, the message was clear: We aren’t here for chit chat or bonding. Provide me with the necessary information or leave with or without force.

[OOC - I apologize for the wait man. Hopefully, this post is enough to make up for it.]

It seemed that no matter where you went in this forsaken country there was two constants, wind and sand. The wind pressed against him as he made his way through the gates and the Sand ground against his flesh where it had gathered beneath his clothes, Doku couldn't wait to get inside the city and into a bath. For a few brief moments he really thought that he might get through the gates unchallenged but it seems he was losing his touch because he didn't get far before a small shild that barely came to his chest if he stood up straight got in his way. He stopped walking and met the gate defender's gaze, for that was surely what he was, and waited for him to speak.

"Name, village, identification, reason for departure from last village, reason for coming to this village and estimated length of visit."</COLOR><i></i> spoke the white haired child. Doku was taken aback, not even a how do you do just straight into the interrogation!? Back in his day kids would never dream of speaking to an elder like that.... not that he much looked his age, oh well.

<COLOR color="#800000">"My name is Kazumaki Doku," he fumbled in his pockets for a moment before producing a small well worn booklet with the symbol of the Leaf of the front cover which he held out with one hand, "and this is my passport. I left my last village because I wanted to get out and see the world but I think you mean the village before that and I left them because of 'political differences with the established regime'... oh and because I punched a Senin in the face with a sword but it was just a flesh wound really. Now I don't intend to be here long I just want to do some sight seeing and to catch up with with my family who should already be here from what I understand, they move a lot quicker then me when they want to." As he had been talking he had let his gaze wander and had started to ramble somewhat but now he was once again meeting Kanmuri's gaze directly. "But oh, I do seem to have forgot my manners what was your name son?"

It would be apparent to any trained ANBU that Doku was standing at ease, he had taken no aggressive posture or gestures at this stage and was just rambling on like the old fool he was despite looking like he was only 20 years old. His actual answers and passport though would probably raise a few red flags, although it was a genuine passport issued to an ANBU of the village it wasn't stamped for exit at Leaf gates and he was certain that his name would already be in the BINGO books of Sand. This is probably going to take a while, he sighed mentally to himself.

"My name is Kazumaki Doku,” the hooded man would say as he fumbled for his passport. A smirk would crawl onto Kanmuri’s face under the bandages.

If there is a god, I pray he didn’t lose his passport in the desert. Kanmuri would think as he chuckled. However something didn’t sit right with the boy. Something...was off. Just why...does his name sound so familiar? Kanmuri’s thoughts would be cut short by the Doku as he answered the necessary questions.

"and this is my passport. I left my last village because I wanted to get out and see the world but I think you mean the village before that and I left them because of 'political differences with the established regime'... oh and because I punched a Senin in the face with a sword but it was just a flesh wound really. Now I don't intend to be here long I just want to do some sight seeing and to catch up with with my family who should already be here from what I understand, they move a lot quicker then me when they want to."

WHAT?! He was able to land a hit on his Sennin? Kanmuri became uneasy as his mind tried sorting out the newly acquired information. Senju Kazuki, the Reaper, Takahashi Sousuke, the last Kazekage and the man of iron himself, along with the man of war himself, Roku were the three Sennin of Sunagakure and it was rumored that even breathing in their presence was nothing sort of a miracle. Of course they were just rumors, but where there was smoke, there was a fire, and Kanmuri knew that there was a solid foundation of truth to these rumors because he had a chilling aura himself back when he was a demon. However, the words of the man were the most pressing matter on Kanmuri’s man. Doku did not misspeak. He was not training with the Sennin. He was dismissed from his previous village because he stabbed the sennin. It was clear as day to Kanmuri.

This man is dangerous…<i></i> Kanmuri’s thoughts would only begin to run more rampant as his eyes widened upon looking upon the passport. Kazumaki Doku! He’s one of the missing-nin from Leaf! That’s why I remember him!

Konoha, the village hidden in the leaves, was in turmoil. It’s hokage had essentially turned into a dictator and started killing children hinting at going down the road of villainy. It got so bad that a group of shinobi, consisting of even a Leaf ANBU, had taken it upon themselves to act and bring down a Sennin. It was treason—no way around it. They had been spared their lives and sent out, but the inconsistent lack of bloodshed only further divide those of the leaf. Why kill young, misguided children while allowing those with treasonous to be able to walk away freely? Kanmuri had no opinion; he wasn’t smart enough to care or understand the circumstances. He had an ANBU duty, protect the village. His personal ideology was to rid the world of people who misused their gifts. Doku had not done that; Leaf’s Hokage...that was another story entirely.

Kanmuri was on a time limit, and in order to not overcomplicate his thinking and fry brain cells, Kanmuri decided on a course of action.

With a sigh, the tiny ANBU would stare Doku in the eyes and say after a while, “Kazumaki Doku, my name is Psychosis. I know your history and know of your treason; however, Konoha let you go with a slap on the wrist, and that is not our concern. I’ll simply say this. I will let you in, but you are my responsibility. If we, the ANBU, hear of you doing anything to damage or disrupt Sunagakure. I will handle you myself, personally.”

With his words spoken, Kanmuri would remove himself from Doku’s path and return to his duty. Only time would tell if Kanmuri made the right choice or not.

[OOC - You left me in a prickly situation, but let’s make this interesting. I hope you enjoy your time in Sunagakure!]

Once again he could not help but smile when he saw the boy's reaction to his passport and name. I was fairly certain that Leaf would have told them about us but this confirms it, no point in trying to hide anything.

A small sigh escaped the small package of violence standing in front of him. "Kazumaki Doku, my name is Psychosis. I know your history and know of your treason; however, Konoha let you go with a slap on the wrist, and that is not our concern. I’ll simply say this. I will let you in, but you are my responsibility. If we, the ANBU, hear of you doing anything to damage or disrupt Sunagakure. I will handle you myself, personally."

"Oh don't worry I will be on my best behavior although I do think that you would be fun to fight. Hmmmm, Psychosis is interesting choice of name, heh," The kid hadn't stuck around to hear Doku's response but he felt like he should give one anyway. "You are talking to yourself again, you really should stop that, people will start to think you are crazy."

With his entry to the village hidden in the sands sorted, albeit with a lot less of a fuss than he would have perhaps preferred, Doku began to make his way inside. I hope they have bath houses here, I am going to need a good scrub after my trip through the desert and even then I am probably doomed to find sand in uncomfortable places for weeks to come.
