Name: Takuhira Mizami
Age: 12
Physical Description: It is made obvious by his pale olive skin tone, that Mizami has spent his life living within the confines of modern Sunagakure. Short and untidy red hair drapes downward from the crest of his head; with bangs just barely reaching his eyebrows. His ‘honey’ tinted eyes are both strong-willed and filled with resolve, only made more so by the sharpness of his brow. Sharp-nosed, his full lips round off the rest of his face with their slight upward curved corners. Standing at roughly five feet and one inch, he possesses no distinguishable physical traits aside from light physical scarring and other blemishes riddling his body. Mizami weighs in at 95 pounds and is athletically tone. His choice of attire leans toward anything properly fitting and that meets the needs of life in Sunagakure.
Mental Description: Both strong-willed and meticulous, Mizami acts in a way which he believes a shinobi should. He aims for professionalism; this makes him overly serious, but this is not an entirely negative trait given this line of work. Mizami is responsible and pragmatic, which makes it easy for people to rely on and trust him. Although his demeanor makes it difficult for him to grow attached to as a friend, the pride he takes in the village makes him care deeply for his peers. A result of expecting a life of service to the village. Because of this, Mizami has a tendency to be insensitive and usually speaks from his brain, rather than his heart; piercingly so to strangers and foreigners. Of the few connections he does make, Mizami makes attempts to ensure that they last.
History: Mizami’s history is not just his own, but that of his families and one he takes both pride and shame in. The Takuhira family is one of the older shinobi families within the village, having experienced and partaken in the events dating back the last two centuries; perhaps even in the Dune Wars itself or so Mizami is told. Years later, the Takuhira family marries into one of the merchant families that moves into the Sunagakure region, increasing their prestige and providing them with a literal fortune driven by business ventures.
However prestigious the family had become, it had fallen apart well before the birth of Mizami. The family at large falls ill due to the plague known as the ‘Red Death’. In the following years, the ‘Plague Wars’ further dwindled the numbers of the large household, as they fought readily for Sunagakure. The final blow to the family was the Diamond Maelstrom that ravaged the majority of their property and with it, their wealth. What remains of them are driven underground alongside their peers and their prominence sinks even further.
In spite of this all, life continued on and Mizami’s mother continued the Takuhira business whilst his father continued the life of a shinobi. Their work has provided Mizami with an otherwise average Sunagakure childhood, which in his eyes has always been a life sentencing to the underground. During this time, his mind was filled with stories of grandeur; be they honest or not. If Mizami could not reacquire the Takuhira fortune, he would restore their name.
