Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shinobi 101: Taijutsu - Slashing can use Unarmed
RP Not Needed Apparently?
Journyman
Being born in Kirigakure, Raku had worked his way up through the ranks, from an Academy Student, all the way up to Jounin. This was something that required a lot of work and effort, and this was achieved through doing missions and a lot of hard work. When on a mission, he would always give it his all, and usually did quite well. He had visited many places along the way, and he had no plans on stopping now. His life as a shinobi was in it's prime. Even his travels from his home land all the way to Kumogakure had given him plenty of experience and knowledge due to the long journey he had dealt with.
Healing Factor
Being Relentless and Reckless in battle took it's tolls on Raku's body, but he was never one to give up. Even though he caused damage to his own body sometimes with the way he fought, his body had began to grow a natural resistance to this effect over time from being broken and healing itself so often. As time went on, his injuries seemed to heal quicker and quicker. This was definitely a benefit to a person like Raku whose body received so much abuse due to his own fighting style.Through hard training, and damaging fights, his body had began to be able to heal faster than the average person.
Nimble Hands
Being a weapons user had definite drawbacks in the world of Shinobi when it came to using jutsu which required handseals. Having a weapon in your hand made it hard, and most Shibobi needed to have both hands free in order to use handseals, which required them to release their weapon for certain periods of time. Raku did not want to deal with this drawback, believing his would be able to train himself to preform handseals while still holding his weapon in a faster time than it would take to sheath his weapon, preform the handseals, use the jutsu and unsheath his weapon again. He trained every day for months, working on being able to position his hands properly while holding a weapon in order to get the seals right. After much training, he was able to preform handseals only slightly slower than his natural speed, not counting holding the weapon.
Duelist
Raku was the type of fighter who enjoyed skillful combat. A true one-on-one style fight, where both people gave it their all and focused on the fight completely. Due to this, and his training with his father when he was younger, Raku was always one to put his energy into fighting that single person, closing out all other distractions around him in order to give himself that edge versus that one opponent. Though this had drawbacks in fights as well, in the case of Raku being attacked by multiple opponents, or sneak attacks by other people. But over the years and through a few serious fights, Raku had managed to minimize these downsides, only giving the people he wasn't focused on a slight advantage, while the advantages he gained against his target outweighed those disadvantages.
Jutsu Creator
Through all his training over the years, Raku had worked thoroughly on preforming unarmed jutsu while using a sword, and because of this ability, he had always had the idea of mixing the two. Who wouldn't want to take the benefits from two styles of skills, and attempt to mix them in order to create an even better skill? This idea made Raku quite happy, the though of coming up with his own new techniques based on previous ones he had learned in the past; expanding his skill base. This was something he couldn't pass up the chance to work on. Spending many tireless hours over years of training; taking good parts of different taijutsu skills and attempting to minimize the bad parts. This was a difficult task, but with time, merging different ideas from different jutsu became easier, and it began to flow better and better with each new combination.
Bull's Strength
With the kind of fighter Raku was, strength was always key. He needed to be able to hit hard, and deal as much damage as humanly possible, or what was the point in him fighting Recklessly? He trained hard, and even after regular Shinobi training, he worked out at training centers lifting weights and honing his body's muscles in order to maximize his strength. Although he didn't appear it, Raku's muscles were very strong due to his tough training regiment over the years. His lean muscle was quite deceiving, the strength behind them was immense due to all this training, and allowed him to his harder than most.
Clarity
Being a mainly Taijutsu user, with the occasional Ninjutsu, Raku appeared to have one weakness; Genjutsu. It wasn't something that he wanted to be susceptible to when he figured out the style of fighting he wanted to do. He was usually a pretty intelligent person, he he figured with enough training of his mind, he would be able to minimize his weakness to Genjutsu, allowing him to be able to recognize when he was being affected by Genjutsu and give himself the ability to break free of them more quickly. Everyone has weaknesses, the key was to minimize their effectiveness against you in order to keep yourself from being crippled by the chance your opponent's strength was your weakness. Raku was lucky that his mother was a pretty good Genjutsu user; it allowed him to practice training his mind by having her train with him, as well as his alone time afterwards meditating and working on his mental strength in general.
Initiative
Being a competitive fighter, and one who always pushed himself to be quicker, better, stronger; Raku liked to take advantage of any opportunity he could to become a better fighter. Being fast was one of those opportunities he liked to abuse, such as being able to get the jump on someone in a fight by being quicker than them in any way possible. This required him to work on his reaction time, and other things like general speed, stamina, and muscle memory. These things allowed him the ability to do things in battle more fluidly and timeless in battle; still costing as much energy, the actions just coming more naturally to him than some others due to experience and training.
Martial Artist
Due to fighting so Recklessly, Raku had developed a style of fighting, which allowed him to hit harder and more accurately, but it left him more susceptible to damage, due to the use of his muscles, getting hit while fighting in this style did more damage to his body than it normally did. This fighting style was a trade off, with the damage being worth it due to the savagery he could cause using it. Creating this style himself based on his fighting experience and fighting style in general, Raku put many hours into training this, in order to be able to transition between this rougher, stronger fighting style, and the more relaxed safer normal fighting stance that anyone could do, in order to maximize his efficiency of attacks, he wanted to be able to get the jump on his opponents by hitting them hard right off the bat so they would be overwhelmed by him and possibly falter in their combat.
Adrenaline Rush
Fighting was such a rush. The blood, the stress, the competition, the fight for survival. It caused the adrenaline to flow much more easily for Raku. He seemed to be one who got excited in battle, the thrill of the fight caused his body to go into overdrive for short periods of time. Adrenaline caused his body to be quicker, better, more accurate and even allowed him to think faster. This was something Raku enjoyed during fight, with it's great feeling of exhilaration. Over time, Raku had learned to control this phenomenon a little bit, being able to hold it back for periods of time, in order to release it and let it's effects take over at an opportune time in a fight to give him the best advantage he could.
Release Restraint
Having Shinobi for parents had it's upsides and it's downsides. One of these felt like a downside growing up, but truly it was an upside as Raku grew older. When he was young, his father used to tie him up, with rope, chains, etc. in order for Raku to work on getting himself out of tight situations. At first this was a very hard thing to do. Some days he wouldn't even be able to get out all day, and had to work at it for a few days before being able to get out. His father didn't go easy on him, he made him stay there until Raku managed to get himself free. Each time he was able to get free, the restraints would get tougher to get out of, and would be in more dangerous situations, like hanging upside down, or high up in a tree. With much practice, he eventually had to move on to jutsu, getting better and better at escaping these binds, Raku became quite good at freeing himself, but jutsu were a lot tougher than normal ropes and chains, so he still had difficulties, but any advantage to getting out of these kinds of traps was worth the effort and training he had put into it, and he was certainly thankful to his father for the training now that he had grown up.
Bloody Mess
Blood; what a glorious thing. As a fighter who used a sword as a weapon, blood was something Raku seen quite often in combat. His strength and weapon allowed him to see blood a lot easier than normal, and it was something Raku had gotten used to over multiple battles. Making people bleed was just something he did. After happening so often, it just became something natural to him. The sight of blood causing him to fight even harder because it was a physical sign that he was weakening his opponent, and it made him want to cut them even more, make them bleed even more. The bloodlust he had gained worked both ways, allowing him to ignore his own bleeding more due to his fighting style, and now the blood allowed him to fight harder when he saw their bleeding.

With those free swaps I will take:

Shinobi 101 - Wood Jutsu use Melee Accuracy
Raku had only recently began to expand his jutsu repertoire, but with the discovery over his elemental affinities, he would quickly come to find he had a knack for wood jutsu. It was truly quite a good fit for him, enhancing his body and using it to increase his taijutsu abilities. Ninjutsu was nothing like he always thought it was. To him, he had always imagined it as shooting off crazy blasts of chakra and elements to attack your opponent, but finding a niche to enhance himself intrigued him. He was able to coat himself in wood, and use the wood to help him redirect missed attacks. To Raku, these skills were augments to his melee skill and hardly more, and as such, he became quite proficient with them over other ninjutsu.
(WC: 132)

Jutsu Expansion
In the past, Raku found himself trying to merge multiple jutsu together to create new and exciting combinations that would be more powerful than their originals, but it seemed this wasn't working out the way he had intended it. Instead, it had been uncovering weaknesses that were caused by mixing two different styles of attacks together into one. As such, he put it upon himself to find a better way to improve his techniques. It didn't take too long for the idea of increasing the amount of chakra used for his skills to increase their abilities, but the issue was finding the right amount of chakra. These skills had been honed and perfected over the years, and some passed down for generations. They used specific amounts of ones energy for a reason. As such, Raku had to find the right amount of extra energy to put into each jutsu in order for them to still be usable, but become stronger than they had originally been at his current level.
(WC:169)

And with my ability slot purchased with ASP here I will learn one more ability:

Elemental Aura
One of the few jutsu Raku had ever used before finding his affinities and the wood element were chakra armors. He clearly seen the benefits of cloaking yourself in an element in order to increase your abilities, as a sort of buff, kind of like using the buffing taijutsu he had trained himself with, but an element instead of just pure body and strength. His continued use of these cloaks made it easier and easier for him to use them. Over the years Raku have become quite comfortable activating and using the benefits of these chakra armor to his benefit. With this feeling of comfort came quickness and ease of use. Over time, Raku found that he was able to activate these armors quicker and maintain them longer than he had when he first began using them.
(WC: 137)

------------------------------------------

Also going to unlearn the Reckless ability:

Unbalancing Strike
In his younger days, Raku had found himself wanting to be more reckless than he really should. He had honed his skills at forcing himself to attack in such a quick and forceful way that his opponents had a hard time dodging him, and ended up getting more hurt than they would of normally. But with years of practice, it became obvious to Raku that this technique was leaving him way too open to counter attacks, and follow up attacks, that he began to feel uncomfortable with this technique. Overextending himself was something he had managed to fall into numerous times, and with those times often enough resulting in him getting more injured than he would have liked, he decided it was something he needed to work on. He wouldn't allow himself to overextend in this way any longer. In order to remedy this, Raku took to training with some partners at a dojo, practicing Kendo with them. At first he found himself unable to avoid this aggressive maneuver, but as he continued to practice, he slowly began to notice when he was going to do it ahead of him. Though he still kept doing it, it was a step in the right direction. Every day he would continue to come back and practice more, slowly holding himself back a little more, bit by bit until he found himself able to control it just a little better. He knew this would take time. Changing your muscle memory and reflexes in general was something that was quite hard to do, but he knew he wouldn't give up until he got it right and was able to control it fully. It took quite a few weeks of training in order to achieve this, but he found himself winning the spars a lot more when he was able to control himself and keep his recklessness to a reactionary effect rather than an aggressive one.
(WC: 321)

And lastly, I will use those 2 points regained from Unbalancing Strike to learn:

Monstrous Strength
