History:
Our tale begins here in the mist covered lands of the water country. Hato was the first born child of his parents. His early life was full of the joys of childhood. His innocent orbs failed to perceive any of the financial hardships that his parents were under. Nor did he ever realize the pressure from the extended family that his parents suffered. He spent nearly every day at a different home that was apart of a daycare circuit. Various mom’s would take turns watching the children on different days so that all the mothers would be able to work through the week. This independent daycare center would be the location of Hato’s earliest memories. As he grew from infant to toddler, the secrets to language were also bestowed upon him here.
He was much too young to understand why his family made a sudden migration from the water country to the desert lands. They took up residence in an old home there that belonged to Hato’s grandfather. He lived there with his parents, his mother’s brother, and his mother’s father. His mother took up work as a seamstress and would often use Hato to model her clothing that she was making for children. It often put Hato at odds with his grandfather, who was native to the desert lands. Every opportunity he would get his grandfather would tease him whenever he was wearing girl-ish clothing by calling him “cute”, “beautiful”, or “princess”. His grandfather would even go so far as to give him gifts of make-up and other feminine beauty products.
Then, despite being larger in stature than the children of his size, he was bullied by the youth who lived in his apartment complex. He was ashamed to bring up the issue with his parents, as they believed that he should figure out how to handle being bullied on his own. His grandfather, a bully in his own way, offered the best advice Hato felt he could ever receive. “If you want people to leave you alone, why don’t you become a shinobi and kick their ass?”
And that is precisely what Hato set out to do.
