Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
Ever since forever. Hikari has been quick. Quick to anger, quick to forgive, quick to speak, quick to react. She was the first in her class to think to use her clumsy chakra control to enhance her throwing arm. She was quick to piss off the vice commander of ANBU when he talked about his old Hyuuga friend's powers upsetting his stomach. She was quick to befriend a Inuzuka known for his antisocial behaviors, on her first day at the academy. Hikari has always been fast. This hyperactivity is as much a part of her as her frizzy red hair.
Sixth Sense
Ever since the night she was promoted to genin, Hikary has been much more... aware. She noticed things, like the downcast face of a relative in a crowd from halfway across a city square. Gut deep, she knew things, and unconsciously she followed through on them. Hikari couldn't always put her finger on the reason she knew the things she knew, or felt what she felt... often, she put it down to the training she'd received at the academy, but whatever the reason, she was a better Kunoichi for it. "I figure..." She says, "That my instincts are like my brain. I trained them to recognize things, and I shouldn't always second guess myself when I know I'm right."
Weapon creation:
Medium weight hammer made from a very strong, yet light weight metal. Hikari's hammer is a top heavy, and double sided war hammer. It's reach is medium to short range. Though Hikari has just began using this oversuzed mallet, she enjoys the weight, and the challenge of altering her balance. The first time she picked up a hammer for fighting purposes was that day in the dojo with Zaku and Kahako. She fell flat on her back, and then onto Zaku not long after. It's not been easy, but her determination and high learning curve has made her a passable student of the bludgeoning weapon type.

Hikari was broader and stronger than most everyone she’d gone to school with. She was tall, and well proportioned, but her sheer size and strength much larger than the average bear- er shinobi. Her weapon choice was a major factor in developing the muscle. A lithe, kunoichi in the beginning, Hikari discovered soon after deciding to focus on Bludgeoning style, that she would not be able to effectively wield her weapon of choice, without building the muscle for it. Thus she trained her body, and eventually, it paid off. Her shoulders broadened, and her body fat decreased. It helped she came from hardy stock. Her father Kuma was a rather large man- especially for a shop keeper.
“Well, if it isn’t the prodigal daughter!” her father crowed as he spotted his daughter, smiling at him from across the square. “Come home at last have ya?”
“Only for a short time, da.” She said, trotting toward him. They’d not seen each other in some time. In truth, Hikari was not a good daughter. She rarely visited, and often ignored the obligations of kin, in favor of her work. “I’m leaving Kumogakure. Not for long.” She said hastily, “I’m negotiating a peace treaty.”
“Imagine that. My daughter the death dealer negotiating for peace.” Her mother said, appearing behind her father in a dark green gown, face all disapproval.
“Never killed anyone yet, mam.” She said. “And I’ve saved a lot of lives by becoming a ‘death dealer’.”
Mother scowled. “I wish you would come home.”
“I have my own home, mother.” Hikari said.
“And quite a home it must be, look at ya!” Da said, “Ya look like… well, like my mam! Strong as an ox, I bet!”
Hikari grinned, “I am! Stronger than you, even, I’d wager.”
“ Ohho, is that a fact?” Kuma asked, laughing. “Well, let’s see! Mother, would ya-“ He turned around looking for his wife, but she had retreated back into the house. “Would ya…” He cocked his head and sighed, “Damn stubborn woman.”
“I wish she would get over it.” Hikari said bitterly. “It’s been eight years. She should accept things as they are, and… I dunno, be proud of me.”
Kuma looked over his shoulder at his daughter, who glowered darkly after her estranged mother. “She’s just… worried.”
“I might die, yeah. But damn it! There are people, good people alive today because I am who I am. And if she was so damned worried that I might die, she should spend some godrotting time with me while I’m here.” Hikari’s eyes brightened with the electricity churning inside of her. Her Santaru blood asserting itself as she lost control of her mood. The sky darkened ominously, and far off, the rumbling of thunder was audible.
Kuma glanced to the skies, then back at his daughter. “Well…” He said, “You’ve been spending time with that husband of my aunt, haven’t you?”
“I work for him.”
“Negotiating…”
“I’m Cloud’s chief ambassador, da. Your chief Ambassador. People call me Tanaks-dono. I’ve made our name one to be proud of. Not that my mother cares. What would she have me be? A damned teacher? Even if I hadn’t chosen to join the academy, they’d have come for me, mother!” She spat, “They always come for children with chakra.”
Kuma put a hand on his daugter’s shoulder, “Even so.” He said, “You chose to leave.”
“Damned right I did.”
“Well… I think we should… lift stuff? Something to prove your muscle isn’t just shapely fat and ‘chakra’.” He chuckled. “A father daughter bonding experience, maybe.”
Hikari smiled weakly. “Sure da.”
Fearless
Fearless: -1 Dodge/Save, +10% Damage reduction
From the journal of Tanaka Hikari, Chief Ambassador of Kumogakure no Sato, during her respite several days after she returned home, after the Battle of Tenouza.
It is the prerogative of lesser minds to fear that which they cannot see. As with every child, of every mother, I was once a trembling babe. But I overcame that fear… If I die, my body will rot, and the world will be healthier for my passing. I have brought nothing with me into this life and I will leave everything I gained to my village… what I’m trying to say Is this: What have I to fear save death, but I was dead for billions of years before my birth, and did not suffer the slightest inconvenience for it. As the philosophers say, “Death is nothing to us, as when we are, death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.” Fear… fear keeps the weak alive, and the strong from becoming stronger. I am not weak, and I will not fear greatness. Rambling… I’ve been rambling. Its been a while since I’ve been to work. They say my injuries were severe… they were, for a while. Before Kitsune’s sacrifice...
What happened in Tenouza did not stay there… it followed me. Just as it had followed him. Them. Whatever. [scratched out words] It’s hard to convey- It’s difficult to express- It- Fuck. If I hadn’t been so weak… That wasn’t my aunt, and it wasn’t my uncle. It was… well, I suppose the Camarlengo had been dead since we met. Poor man… I feel grief for his death. I remember the smiling man I shared confidence with, and I hate his murderer. The revelation that the man was dead before I ever met him, and that I shared those confidences with a kingslayer does not change what I feel. But my feelings changed my behavior. I attacked him. I fought him. I was not afraid, though I was vastly underleveled, and was facing three S ranked opponents, for two reasons, I was not alone, and I was pissed off. I used my anger at the betrayal to fuel me. My confidence in my squadmates, and the strength of the delegates, gave me strength… and the faith of my uncle gave me purpose. All these things were much stronger than fear. Plus I was pissed, and rage is a helluva anesthetic.
Combat Instinct:
You get +.5 Secondaries every time your chosen opponent loses 20% Max HP. You get stronger as they grow weaker.
Hikari's battles had, for many years, been fought mainly with words and deeds. Although in many ways, she was as violent with words as she had been trained to be with her body, she did not practice as much combat as she might otherwise have. She did not, as her God did, find she had a taste for the blood of her enemies, but she did find that she could feel a sort of rhythm in battle. With training, she found that she could exploit that rhythm, and as she did damage, she would gain confidence. As she gained confidence, she gained power, and that she did find she had a taste for.

The shinobi with this skill is gifted with the ability to actually absorb some chakra that is used to harm them. Whenever attacked with a Ninjutsu, the user's pores would immediately open and take some of the chakra used for the attack and convert it into a source of power for their own attacks. Its like photosynthesis, but for ninjas!
Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank
Effect:
- When the user is hit with a Ninjutsu attack, any damage taken by it is reduced by 5%. This reduced damage is then added to their next Ninjutsu attack as bonus damage that cannot be buffed through any source (it can still be reduced).
- The user can be charged with the bonus damage of up to three attacks at a time. If this ability activates any further, then the newest damage will overwrite the oldest bonus damage.
- Effects which cut through, bypass, or otherwise negate Damage Reduction do not apply to this ability.
