Kageoni Yami, better known as the Otokage is one of the most powerful men in the world. His presence alone is awesome and terrible in the same breath. The heat seemed to roll off his form, he was much larger than she had imagined him. She did not realize that she had taken a step, or several back. It was unconscious much like the look of terror that was painted over her young face that she tried to combat in favor of a more neutral expression in this losing battle of wills against herself. She was quickly losing composure due to the rising trepidation in her heart. This man was somehow the man she was expected to marry although a part of her wondered how she could possibly stand alongside the rumored immortal.
He wordlessly extended his hand and despite fiery heat he seemed to exude, it did not burn as she clasped her hand into his. He pulled the young girl into him and she buried her face in his chest. It was almost a touching moment, a monster that seemed more like a man at this juncture. Sango, more like a frightened child in this wordless and cardinal exchange. She was shaking but there was no chill in the air. Time would pass them by -- it is always moving and it never stops and while some would fade into the eternal night there would be one who would not. There would be no sentimental or even kind words exchanged, not because he was a cruel or a caring man but because he had none to share.
Eventually he would part from her as wordlessly as he held her and he would walk away. There were a great many matters he would need to discuss with the Daimyō if their wedding was to be at this month's end.
