Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Amegatsu is a specialist in the element of ice, which is an advance element created from water and wind. In order to better utilize his specialty he must practice the style of the base elements that form it. Water is the element of change. The people that master the element of Water are capable of adapting to many things by going with the flow. Water style is less about stress and more about visualization. In water style softness in breath can be more powerful than hard aggression. Today Amegatsu by a lake within the ancient forest trains in this style. Keeping his breathes in a steady rhythm while preforming seals, he moves the water back and forth. The ebb and flow of the water begins to form waves the gradually gets bigger. It is daily practices like this that helps him master the style of water, which will in turn make him better with ice.

Katsu is watching carefully as Amegatsu is working on his water based jutsus. He is very interested in the way that he his performing his seals, Katsu tries to take mental notes of the seals that he is trying to form. Katsu realizes that he cannot do this in the open so he is hiding in a tree, Katsu just so happened to be mediating and trying to maintain his ability to keep hidden. Katsu is amazed by Amegatsu's skills and his control of the waves, he tries to maintain his silence so that Amegatsu can continue to train and master his skills.

As Katsu watched and Amegatsu practiced a massive figure would emerge from the tree line. Standing at nearly seven foot and with broad shoulders, the one eyed giant moved in their direction. At first it would be clear that he'd not noticed them, lost in his own thoughts, his eyes searching the water that he walked on for answers to a problem. His chakra control simply allowing him to walk over it without deliberate thought. As he drew closer his head rose, his gaze falling on the two youths.

Nodding his head to Katsu, who was simply sitting there, his attention then turned to Amegatsu. Watching the handseals he knew it was an element he himself was quite familiar with. Stopping he watched the seals and activating his byakugan he watched the chakra flows.

As he stood there Katsu may notice that the bottom of his cloak seemed dirty, with a reddish mud perhaps, as were his boots. Of additional note was the size of his sword on his back, almost as long as he was tall.

Hmm, I would say you're a Chuunin, possibly a reasonably advanced one. I like your technique. He said to Amegatsu finally after a number of moments of watching. You have good control over the element.

Amegatsu stops what he was doing, smiles and thanks the man, “You’re too kind, but it’s appreciated. However I guess I should be practicing my lightning considering the festival is shortly upon us.” He gives a deep sigh for it was not his preferred element. Such an element lacks artist quality; you can’t mold it like snow. “This is why I liked the First Chakra User event so much better. I’m not limited to such a difficult element.” Amegatsu was of coarse referring to the Lightning Show. As a Chunin he did not qualify for the event he liked. Amegatsu thus pulls out a storage scroll and summons his three puppets

The three of them looked quite lifelike and practically identical to each other. The only real difference between them was there hair color. Amegatsu would then go back to his water training using one handed seals to make waves in the water. The purple haired puppet creates a barrier of vines while the other two fire ball of lightning at the barrier. Multitasking in this fashion was mere child’s play and finds it strange that some people would have difficulty using weapons and ninjustu at the same time. “I don’t suppose as the Raikage you have any advice to adding beauty to this element.” Amegatsu knows form personal experience that not everyone here is an expert in lightning, but it is her understanding the element is quite popular among the locals.

Katsu saw the Raikage for the first time in his life, the man stood there looking larger than life. Katsu had only seen him a couple of times when the Raikage had public speeches. Katsu for a moment was somewhat intimated by the size and stature of the man but he was the Raikage, a man who's job it is to carry out the will of the lightning country. The Raikage's purpose is one that is to ensure the growth of all young students, so he decided to show Raikage what he was capable of doing. Katsu notices a training dummy on the side of where Amegatsu is training, he begans working on his tai-jutsu training against the dummy. He quickly jumps on to the dummy's neck and strikes at its head using his right hand. Using the force created from that attack he swiftly, spins his body around the back of the dummy while taking out his kunai to pull it out behind the neck of the dummy. Katsu wasn't done there, he needed to train even more to gain significant amount of strength to carry out the will of his family before him.

He went to one of the trees where he was standing prior and cut out a marker for throwing projectile weapons at. He set up three trees so he could attempt to attack with three kunai's at a time to stimulate 3 opponents attacking at him at once. He took a deep breathe and threw 2 projectiles out of his right and one out of his left. The ones using his right were precisely on target whereas the other one had drifted somewhat into the left. Katsu was disappointed in himself but he smiled and looked over at the Raikage. "Sorry, sorry, I'm still terrible with my left, any pointers you can give me on my physical attacks?"

The girl training accepted the praise humbly, mentioned her preference towards the First Chakra User events, which Akira smiled at, and then pulled out puppets. A combat style he'd never been very capable with, but when training against Akuhei he always found himself struggling against. What that man couldn't do in a fight wasn't worth mentioning... it was probably why his students were so damn scary.

It seemed that his presence had had an affect on the younger of the pair, who now stood beside a nearby training dummy and began going through some moves he'd been taught, or taught himself. The moves seemed reasonably fluid, landing on the shoulders, striking the head, keeping momentum to spin around behind and with a slicing motion potentially disable the opponent. Against poorly trained, slow but strong opponents it'd likely work, they'd need to be able to take the additional weight, or the boy would need to ride them as they fell, and if they fell then he would only get the head strike in before being forced to roll away. Certainly not the killing blow he'd have hoped for.

Akira's smile remained as his eye followed the boy while the girl asked him if he had any hints and tips on lightning manipulation.

The boy threw his kunai, and though his right hand was strong enough to be able to aim with two kunai, his left wasn't strong enough to aim with a single. He then turned around and apologised for his mistake, which caused a look of confusion cross Akira's face.

No need to apologise, I have been there. Two sets of requests at once, perhaps he could work in something which could help both...

Often when I find myself trying to train in something I'm not good at, or don't really identify with, I try and focus on what I am good at and what I do identify with while training the weaker. For instance, although this might sound strange, I am not really all that good at straight Taijutsu, or Ninjutsu. When I was younger Ninjutsu was my focus, then Taijutsu as I am a member of the Saito (Hyuuga) clan, but as I grew older and my movements slowed, my reactions became less keen I needed to rely on my experience. And so now it's Genjutsu.

He offered a small smile to both who were possibly lost in what he was trying to explain, indeed he wasn't sure how best to do so.

With my training originally strongest in Ninjutsu, when I started to make that change to Taijutsu I used many close range ninjutsu, allowing me to utilise the elements still, but slowly making that transfer across to a more melee pattern. Then for my Taijutsu change to Genjutsu what I now do is try and predict my opponents actions and manipulate them to allow me to strike.

Taking a standard combat stance next to the training dummy where both could see his actions he performed a basic strike, but clearly missed, obviously deliberate, but also very close to the dummy's head.

With this they will move to their right, to move to the left would mean I'd hit, to stay still they would normally assume would mean a hit. But by doing this I can act on where my opponent is going to be.

Withdrawing his fist and going back to the same position he performed a double strike, the first going where his fist went last time, and withdrawing just as quick, the second coming around and into the lower ribs on the left side.

Because I know my opponent will move left I can strike here. To avoid it at this range would be impossible, if they retreat I can follow, if they come closer I can still strike, if they move right I hit their head instead. The techniques are still Taijutsu based, but against a training dummy are hard to show what I'm actually doing.

Moving over to Katsu he smiled Would you like to see first hand what I'm actually doing? I promise I wont actually hit you.

If allowed Akira would do as he had done, to Amegatsu it would look identical, not even faster or slower, simply Akira at training pace as he had been with the dummy, while Katsu would act as predicted despite seemingly knowing that Akira wasn't even aiming to hit.

But to Katsu an entirely different story. The first strike seemed to go straight for the face, if slightly to his left, or Akira's right, forcing the boy to instinctively move to his right to avoid being punched in the face, Akira's left not seeming to move at all, though Katsu would know to look for it. Then suddenly he would feel a small amount of pressure under his ribs, the Raikage's fist gently pressing against his flesh.

So you see how against even a veteran shinobi this kinda of technique could still hit its target, as they can't dodge what they can't see. It was said to Katsu, as he knew that Amegatsu still wouldn't have seen the hidden trick to Akira's technique, so to her she probably would still wonder how that would catch a veteran shinobi, as it certainly wouldn't catch her with that speed.

So... I guess... in simpler terms what I'm suggesting is to try and make it work in a way you would with something you're good at. Water and lightning for instance... he said looking to Amegatsu ... or training your left hand as if it's your right. he would say turning back to Katsu.

Amegatsu was a little surprised at the student’s sudden appearance. Seems the kid was trying to impress the Raikage. The Kage shows the kid some moves and explains how it works. Amegatsu however sees a couple holes in the Kage’s logic. The Kage assumes a person’s natural response would be to attempt to avoid the punch. Amegatsu knows that in such a situation his first response would be to parry or deflect it. Also a person could avoid the punch through ducking under it rather than move to the side. The Kage then tries to give an answer that would fit the both of them. This was not the type of answer he was looking for. “I think you misunderstood my question. Come follow me. I’ll show you what I am talking about.”

The lake that Amegatsu was practicing was fed by a waterfall. Amegatsu guides them behind where one would find a cave with a cool breeze emanating from it. The cave steadily declines into the earth and as they adventure deeper inside the cave it only got colder until they finally reach a large cavern. The walls and the ceiling were all covered in ice. Several lamps lit through chemical reaction hung from the ceiling and the icy walls acted as mirrors reflecting the light thus providing better illumination. Within the center of the cavern curled up was a dragon made of ice as big as a clan house. The dragon was very well detailed to the point you can see and feel its scales that were the size of a yen. The mouth of the dragon was open and in front of it was a sign that read The Sleeping Dragon. The dragon was a restaurant that Amegatsu made himself in which he serves frozen desserts. He uses his artist talent with ice to create elegantly beautiful treats for one to snack on. Art like any other skill requires daily practice and this place was his training ground. “This is what I mean. I cannot create things like this that has intricate details with lightning.” Though the cavern serves as a large ice box the dragon does require some daily maintenance. “Come inside, come inside.” The actual place where food would be served is located in the belly of the beast. Within the restaurant section it would look more like a garden with a picnic table. The furniture however was not made out of ice for obvious reasons. The floor from the mouth to the stomach had a sandpaper like texture. This was to prevent people from slipping on their butts. The beams that helped hold the place up looked like trees. Looking around one can see various forms of flora made of ice. “Would you like anything? Ice cream? Snow Cone?” Amegatsu only served frozen desserts for anything else would not work to well in this area.

They headed off, the younger of the three deciding to remain where he was and continue training.

They reached a cave and entered it, Akira following the other as he led him into a TRAP! Actually it was a type of ice sculpture that was simply massive. The size of it and the cold it had let off was freezing the walls of the cave, and in so doing probably helping the dragon itself maintain its shape and not melt.

Akira noticed the sign, and wasn't sure whether this was a sign for the name of a place, or whether the name of an art piece. It wasn't clarified by the other, and Akira didn't want to ask, assuming he'd find out soon enough. Being asked to enter, Akira headed inside and looked around. It was a restaurant.

The floor and walls were frosted, allowing more grip to those walking through it.

Very nice work. How much time did this take?

“It took us a year to complete; me and my little sister." He of course did most of the work. "She is quite talented for one so young. A student and already knows a couple of advance elements.” Despite his praise to his sibling he did not seem happy. His sister was only an infant when their mother left them and thus she knows nearly nothing about her mother. “I’m a little surprised she’s not here. This is her favorite place to play.” Amegatsu walks over to the table and picks up a violin. Unlike himself his sister was a follower of Luna and thus she cast jutsu through music. Those who walk the path of Tia are the dancers to their melodies. Even those who are born gypsy has their own deities. Goddesses which govern their lives and gives them hope for a brighter tomorrow. Entities with their own stories for even immortals have troubles. “Always leaving her stuff behind. I find myself relating more to Tia by the day. Curious, do you have any siblings?” Apart from Akira’s titles he knew nothing about him.

Akira nodded. Something of this magnitude would take a substantial amount of time. If not the size and detail, but the quantity of items required to do so. The thought into the small things which have been created to make it more able to function.

The other had a younger sister, by the sounds of it she might have been quite a few years younger. She helped build this as well, a good bonding experience between a brother and sister Akira thought as he continued to move through and look around the room.

He was asked a question, he would answer as he continued to look around.

Yes I do. I have a younger brother, he is currently the head of the Saito Clan. I would say he is more proficient in the Hyuuga techniques my clan are practiced in than I am. We trained some, but weren't very close. Akira turned his eye to Amegatsu.

I typically trained with Mojo or Shinbatsu.

He looked back to a table he'd taken particular curiosity in as he clarified something.

Mojo was my pet Monkey. He saved my life.
