Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kaen stared at the basic wooden door to his house, his peep hole staring right back at him. How long had he been standing here, daydreaming about nonsensical things? Shaking his head of the fuzzy blockage that seemed to have held him back for a short while, he reached into his pocket to retrieve the key. With a satisfying 'click' the door was ready to be opened. But was he ready to enter? Nobody is ever truly ready for anything, but even less so was Kaen ready to be alone once again. Taking a deep breath he swung open the door, it made little to noise as it moved, this wasn't a run down house or anything, come on. Everything was exactly as he had left it, the old antique grandfather clock looming near the doorway. Seems time kept on ticking but time offered nothing for their house without them in it. Theirs you ask? Well yes, Kaen may have been a single, eligible bachelor, but he together with his sister, Kasen. Just as equally crimson in features, but most definitely the more sensible of the two.

Usually when someone comes home from somewhere, whether it be work, vacation or just a long day trip full of errands, there was always a feeling of peace. No matter how wonderful outside world might be. Home always seems welcoming. We can be ourselves again. The self that only our home knows. But this was not the case for Kaen, for home just wasn't 'home' without his sister. For one reason or another, he always seemed to miss her, never home at the same time. He stepped through the threshold of the doorframe and closed the door behind him. Despite the lights being off, he could see just fine. There was still daylight left and it easily shined through the various windows within his house. Kicking off his shoes he lazily threw his keys onto the side table near the door, the uniform layer of dust upon it assured him that nothing had changed since he left. Nothing here anyways, but much had changed for Kaen in these past few years, he longed to confide within his blood relation, Kasen.

A trail of loose, dirty clothing littered the hallway as he undressed on the way. A slight flick and a light illuminated the bathroom, the tiny fan that was constructed together with the light fixture quietly whirred to life, a soft buzzing noise filling his ears. Kaen stared at himself in the mirror, but it was not him looking back but rather something else entirely staring him down from the other side of the mirror. He had started to not recognize himself these days, his metamorphosis into powerful being was more than just that. It weighed heavy on his mind, the things he's done, the things he will continue to do. It bothered him, disturbed the mortal, human part of him. But something deeply ingrained within him stirred, he had been trying to come to terms with it for some time now. It was as if he liked it, the darkness within whispered promises of great things, fun things. Things that would curdle the stomach of a normal man, but not him, no. The thirsty never escaped him, he couldn't hide from the feelings. He NEEDED to sate them, it was a part of him fully now.

A small yellow sheet of paper was taped in the corner of the mirror, it caught his eye. Ripping it off at the corner, he pulled it closer to read, leaving the tape and one corner of the paper still attached to the glass. Kaen let out an exaggerated sigh as he crumpled the note, throwing it in the trash bin next to the toilet. "Of course you are..." It had read; " Won't be back for a few weeks, sent on a mission. Medical stuff, you know the drill. Leftovers in the fridge. ~ Love Kasen ~ " Clearly not something he wanted to hear, or read rather, as she was always doing stuff like this. He began to wonder why he had even sought out the changes he did. What was the point if she was never within his reach to aid her when she needed him? Kaen grabbed the edges of the sink and stared downward into the drain. As if it might drain away all the troubles within his mind, if only right?

Coming to terms with the reality that he might not ever see his sister in person again and would spend eternity playing this back and forth note tag with her, he released his grasp on the sink and turned on the shower. Hot steam exuded throughout the small room, seeping out from under the door into the adjoining hallway. Scalding and blistering to most, Kaen preferred the temperature. For him it was like a cool shower, relaxing and tranquil. Despite the obvious differences you might think, Kaen didn't mind water really, showers especially. It was a place to escape into your mind, let the steady rhythm of the water drops drown out the outside world and leaving you to your own devices. He closed his eyes as he stood directly underneath the spout, his crimson hair now drenched and covering his face. He stood like this in contemplation for some time before finally getting around to actually washing with soap.

The rest of the went on like this, just the typical lazy roaming throughout the house with nothing really to do. No point in cleaning, there wasn't really a mess aside from the dust that was incredibly comfortable within his house. He didn't really have any friends to invite over, not that was something he would usually do. With his recent promotion he could probably find some work, but he literally just got back and wasn't in a hurry to rush out for that 'grand adventure'. There was one other thing he needed to do though, an itch in the back of his mind that silently screamed within. A whispering beckon of loyal servitude, an oath of naturistic intent. Perhaps he would seek her out for further guidance, their last meeting left him only partially prepared for the 'tendencies' of his nature. She would have answers to be sure. But this would have to wait till morning, his bed was far too inviting to pass up a good night's rest.

The next day it was business as usual at the Shinku residence. Nothing out of the norm, just Kaen getting ready for the day. Primping and pruning as a man of his naturally attractive caliber would do. The normal ritual plus his usual workout routine kept him in near perfect shape, sculpting his tone, muscly body. Kaen was a bright and shining work of art despite the darkness that dwelled within him. In time he had left his house, the village even. He was searching for 'her', his Queen, the Mother of Suna, Shiori. But this was no easy task, all he had was a name, a face and a last seen. But his options were incredibly limited as one particular name and the last location would most surely land him in a world of trouble. After all they were ancients and weren't exactly welcomed throughout the lands of Wind Country.

He had spent most of the day searching the obvious places despite knowing full well he would not find what he sought. He first searched the outpost in which he first met her, but it was still abandoned, marked as a quarantined zone as specialists attempted to decipher what the hell had actually happened there that fateful day so long ago. From there he continued forward through his trek through history, searching for the woman that gave him everything in return for so little. Though Kaen was not fully aware that this 'little' was far grander than he could anticipate. In time he found his way back to the hotel within the limits of Sora, the capital of Wind Country as well as the home of the Diamyo. But even still he found no trace of his Queen, she was truly a master of eluding him without even trying. He pondered if she knew he sought after her, was she truly omnipotent and all powerful as he first thought? Kaen rid his mind of such foolish thoughts, of course she was. How else would she have granted him the power he now possessed? With only a few options remaining, save going to the 'authorities' which was clearly not an option, Kaen headed back towards the village and straight for the 'arm pit' of Sunagakure, The Grand Palais.

Need a poison capable of destroying an entire species, perhaps a legendary blade where a bounty of souls reside within. Or perhaps you are more keen towards the pleasure of the flesh and seek out a 'servant' of sorts, whatever your vice the Black Bazaar has just what you need. Such places were ran by seedy 'organizations' and things like them often have been around for some time and with time comes knowledge. As mentioned before, anything can be bought for the right price, even knowledge. And yet Kaen still turned up empty handed, he wasn't sure whether it was because nobody really knew or Kaen just wasn't speaking their 'language'. Perhaps the price was far too high and she had bought their protection and they simply didn't know who he was? Whatever the case, Kaen had spent the day and most of the night searching for a ghost. He was beginning to feel like maybe she didn't want to be found.

With failure on the mind and an empty, hungry stomach, Kaen sought out sustenance. Most places looked sketchy as hell, but he ended up settling for a semi-mobile ramen stall. He moved the loose hanging curtain that separated the small seating area from the outside and sat down. He was alone, not a busy day for ramen I suppose. "Wadda ya havin'?" A burly, overweight man who looked to be in his 60s loomed over the counter waiting for his order. Kaen, indecisive as ever, settled for the 'special'. "I'll just have your signature bowl, whatever you think sounds good. At this point I would be willing to eat this chair." A bit of dry humor hung heavy in the air, the old man was not amused. With a snort he turned and started the preparations for Kaen's order. What a waste of a day...

Over the years Akkuma had built up a rapport with the denizens of the Grand Palais. He'd been accepted as one of their own an undesirable of the village. His services had been graciously welcomed by the community & he often gave those who proved their loyalty his patronage. But there was one thing they all knew about the Kitsune & that was he was fascinated by the Lore of these lands. Any word of Ancients was to be brought to him. Certain beggars had now begun to make a reasonable living acting as his eyes & ears on the streets. It was because of this that the news of a particularly persistent individuals search for a deity was brought to his attention.

Even more curious was that when he was given the description of the individual it matched that of the Anbu Agent who had interrupted his class recently. With a wave of his hand the informant was sent of with a bad of gems. Turning to his Agent Naga he would speak. "Ensures word is spread. Have him informed that there is only one being who knows of the woman made of sand. That a meeting will be set up at the Devil's Lair on the Entertainment level. At Midnight...the casino should be bustling with life then. It should make observing him all the more easier." with those words from his Master the Agent would bow vanishing into the night to inform the growing network of Agents what the Fox wished to be done.

'No need to go searching for him when I can save the effort by feeding him the information he wants.' he thought to himself with a smile now he need simply go to the Casino & wait for his target to arrive. It would only take a mere few hours for the knowledge to spread among the network. Any of his Agents that the shinobi asked would give him the same information. Now instead of receiving no information & being turned away he would be informed of a meeting that had been arranged should he accept. Eyes would seem to follow him as he went there faces ones of recognition almost as if they knew him.
~Later That Night At The Devil's Lair Casino~

The Casino was brimming full of patrons it had become one of the most talked about places in the district. After all a Casino run by a demon that catered to all manner of beings? Such a place could only thrive in the depths of a village like Sunagakure. It's patrons covered everyone from beggars trying to win the chance at a new life to those with more money then sense. Then there were the other patrons, these supernatural denizens were just as varied as the humans they mingled among. A beautiful woman with an enchanting voice sung on the stage. Her beauty was unearthly for she was a succubus created to allure the patrons.

Every staff member had been chosen to ensure the most was gained from their patrons. Everything from the beautiful attendants to distract the gamblers. Charismatic hostesses to ensure their minds were kept from the worries they lost. Each one trained in the arts of subterfuge, one would be forgiven for thinking their interest in the clients in conversation was purely for the Casino. But you would be mistaken such an establishment was a font of information. There wasn't a single room this Kitsune didn't have eyes & ears. Aside from the uniformed & plain dressed staff one would notice the extensive camera setup the Casino had.

Sitting down at a table at the back of the entertainment level was a hooded woman in a black veil. Underneath her veil she wore a headset that was actively feeding to Akkuma who sat in his office. A live feed to the area was being directed to the monitor on his desk. Soon his target would be here that was if he had taken the bait. Two men who were obviously the woman's guards stood behind her. The fact that it seemed to be the only table occupied in such a manner should make them stick out like a sore thumb to their guest.

The food he ordered, the special to be exact, was no more special than the area Kaen had ventured through this night. The broth was acceptable, but like everything else down here, the food was old and nearly spoiled. Having paid his bill and for the most part satisfied, to a degree, Kaen pulled back the shoddy curtain that separated the ramen stand from the outside world of the seedy district. "Thanks again, I’ll be sure to -OOF-" As he was exiting, Kaen collided with an unknown pedestrian.

"What the hell? If you were a wiser man, you would learn to watch where the fuck you're going!" Kaen's ill temper flared to life in response, he wasn't on duty, no superiors around for him to feel the need to curb his instinct. "S-s-sorry my lord, p-p-please forgive me. My mistake, my mistake..." A homeless man, no doubt. The clothes gave it away, that and the smell. It was an accident, no point in flaying him alive for all to see, this along with the fact it would be such a waste of time and effort, this man was far beneath Kaen's interest in terms of capability and power. "Yeah yeah, just get the hell out of here before I change my mind!" The homeless looking man scampered away, but little did Kaen know, this man was a little birdy among the flock in which Akkuma employed.

Kaen turned to walk the opposite way, dusting himself off as if that man's insignificant power would rub off on him. He would then straighten out his clothes and brush his fingers backwards through his hair. He sure is a conceded one, isn't he? With a slightly disgruntled look upon his face, Kaen stuffed his hands forcefully into his jacket pockets and started to head home. But fate would not have him rest this night, no, for within his pocket an enigma awaited. Somehow, someway, that shoddy looking fellow back there managed to best Kaen at sleight of hand when they collided and snuck a small note inside his pocket. With a single raised brow, Kaen would pull forth the note and read it silently. It would appear his presence here had not gone unnoticed and that someone, a singular person knew the whereabouts of his queen. He was to arrive at midnight at the Devil's Lair for a meeting of sorts. Instantly the note would catch fire and burn away into ashes for the wind to carry away. Seems Kaen had a date, best get himself freshened up for the occasion...

Kaen glanced down as he pulled out a watch attached to a chain. It was nothing special, just something he picked up for a fancy occasions, one such as the one he found himself attending this night. 11:45 pm, it read, perfect timing to show up. Attendance tells you a lot about a man, Kaen found in his experiences here in Sunagakure. If anything it was a matter of principle, friend or foe. Tardiness shows dishonor, and Kaen was not of that low caliber. Placing the pocket watch back inside the inner pocket of his tailored jacket, Kaen would straighten out his attire and open the doors to 'The Devil's Lair'.

The noise is what hit him first, like a concussive wave of cheer, it collided against him repeatedly. Laughter, hooting and hollering filled the air, this truly was a place of leisure. All of the patron's noise making almost enough to drown out the mechanical noises. It wasn't quite musical and yet not noise per say. It was more of a industrialized noise, tinkles, clanks, and the occasional beep or brief snatch of melody. It's the sound of a hundreds of slot machines playing the sweet melody of hope. And then the smell wafted through his nose and instantly caused his stomach to growl in protest. Perhaps he should have eaten before he came for the food here smelled exquisite. Whoever owned and ran such an establishment surely knew just how prestigious their standing was in the eyes of the common people, and the higher born it would seem, at least those bunch over there playing craps, pretending to be nobodies to blend in.

Kaen chuckled to himself lightly, seems whoever summoned him here this night knew him all to well. There could not be a fight without endangering the lives of every single person here. Kaen honestly couldn't care about a few worthless mortal souls other then the fact that it was a awful waste of souls and that the Anbu would hunt him down regardless, this was something he was not in the mood for, not yet at least. No matter, Kaen was getting used to 'pretending' among the people of Suna, this night would prove no different, or so he hoped.

Thankfully the place wasn't unforgiving in its navigation as most grand complexes would be, a convenient 'You are here' billboard was strewn about on every level giving Kaen the direction he needed to find the entertainment level. The voice of something alluring flooded his senses as he walked into this part of the casino, a gorgeous specimen was singing upon the stage, flaunting all that the gods were gracious enough to gift her with. Something was off about this one, she wasn't human, that much was true. How could he tell? Call it a hunch, the unnatural always seem to have a nose for others of equally unnatural circumstances. In fact, most of the staff here seemed a bit... different. He couldn't help feel like he was being watched, and he wasn't talking about the cameras. But I suppose when someone possessing knowledge of his Goddess, Shiori, they would be expecting him and be watching him very carefully. If they knew what and where she was, there was a good chance they knew what he was as well...

It would only take Kaen a few moments to locate his 'intended', the entire thing screamed look at me. Whoever this was wanted to make sure Kaen knew just where to be. An enigmatic woman adorned in ebony attire sat magnificently at the back of the room, a smart and strategic location to place ones self. Nobody at your back and everyone within your eyesight, she was smart. This along with the fact that she had two 'guards' in her company told this little firebug everything he needed to know. He was entering dangerous territory and would need to tread carefully. This might very well be a trap set by the rangers. They wanted his kind eliminated, what better way than this to lure a secret ancient out of his secret hole. It mattered not, Kaen was not afraid of death, not since he was a child.

Grabbing a drink from the bar, Kaen would then make his way over to the table where the guards stood watch over the lady in black. "Quite lovely isn't she?" Kaen gestured towards the woman singing on the stage. "The way she moves, the way she sings, her body... It's no surprise everyone is staring at her." What a strange way to break the ice, but there was a plan, Kaen was no fool. If there was one thing that women hated, it was being told how pretty another was. But there is one thing that a women loved... It's a good thing you have that veil over your face or I imagine our little meeting would have the biggest audience there ever was, I don't imagine these two brutes would be able to keep the masses off of you..." And there it was, that cocky charm. Perhaps he would get stabbed, perhaps she would laugh, who can say. Women are often so unpredictable when it comes to these things. But alas Kaen was here, she was here, the unknown onlooker Akkuma was here. This night should prove most interesting...

The Demon's desk monitor would flicker to life, it would seem his prey had taken the bait. His headset would flicker to life with the occasional message announcing the beings location. Each time his monitor would switch over to the relevant camera channel. When the individual asked for a drink he'd be given one without a request of payment. After all intoxicated people were much easier to gleam information from & let down their guard easier. Keeping patrons intoxicated could only be to the Houses benefit. The bartender would tend to the other patrons as the being walked off. His guests words would crackle through the active headset the veiled woman wore. Ayumi smiled beneath the veil, those under her employ were specifically handpicked by her to fulfill their roles. "Perhaps if you're lucky enough she'll grace you with your company." the woman would say gesturing to the seat opposite her. He would continue with some attempts at flattery that caused her to giggle a beautiful sound that had lured many a men to their death.

"I wouldn't underestimate them if I were you...but nonetheless I believe you came here in search of something in particular. How lucky you were it was my Lord who chose to see you...who knows what manner of beings you may have brought out of hiding with such a careless search." her words were calm & business-like, there was something about the way she spoke. The words would almost seem unnatural being spoken by her as if she were speaking for another. Truthfully she echoed only the words of her Master as they came through her headset. "What can you offer my Lord if he tracks this woman down for you?" she would inquire to the individual before her on behalf of her Lord. Meanwhile Akkuma stood up from his chair & began to pace around the Office as he listened to the conversation had between those below. He enjoyed being able to move around while he thought, the only thing he found comparable to helping him think was battle. In the heat of battle he possessed a clarity that allowed him to think unhindered by his usual distractions.

Behind them a crowd would erupt into a mixture of applause, cat calls & wolf whistles as the being performing finished her song. Giving a small curtsy to those who were offering her their praise. She would reach down from the stage to accept a drink from one of her security members. Taking a small sip she would apologize to the crowd saying they would have to forgive her while she took a brief break. There would be a chorus of disappointed sighs & groans from the crowd before her. Their eyes followed her as she walked through the crowd with her team & passed the table being occupied by the guest of her Lord. Turning her gaze towards the individual she would give him a warm smile as she walked passed him to a nearby elevator. With a press of a button the camera above it would adjust itself to better see the being. Once he recognized her the doors would open & she would make her way up to her Lord.

"Perhaps" Kaen spoke as he took the seat across from this mystery woman. She would speak a little more, shedding light on Kaen's own reckless search. It was true, he wasn't exactly covert or inconspicuous about the entire ordeal, but he could easily write it off as official business. Perhaps it was just luck that nothing bad came out of this and her 'Lord' found him. Kaen would not pick up on her verbal tendencies of being fed her lines, he simply wanted to get the bottom of this little meeting. He had places to be and people to find and if this guy really knew where Shiori was then he would need to play their little game. "What can you offer my Lord if he tracks this woman down for you?" An interesting proposal to say the least. Kaen would begin to mull it over when the crowd erupted.

His attentions were re-focused on the stage where the peculiar woman had just finished her performance and was catering to her audience. Kaen watched as she made her way off the stage and towards their table where she slowed for just a moment to give Kaen a cute smile. Kaen would wink in response before letting her walk away, Kaen watching every subtle movement. He watched as she made her way to a nearby elevator where a camera would ascertain the identity before allowing her entrance. Something to keep in mind should this little meeting not go the way he might have hoped.

Refocusing his attentions back towards his mystery woman who worked for the 'Lord' of this place, Kaen would give his proposal. "I'm a simple man, so to speak. Someone of such a high caliber, like your Lord, surely would have nearly everything he could want. Money buys a lot in this town, but I'm sure there are a few things that his funds can't reach..." Kaen would take a slow sip from his drink before looking around the room to be sure nobody was watching. Kaen would lean in across the table to talk a little quieter. "I may or may not work for a certain organization run by the Sunagakure's government. Such people that may or may not work for sed organization would be of an elite level who occasionally like to play dress up in black with pretty white masks. Perhaps your lord would like a get out of jail free card sometime in the future?" You would think that nobody would even think about saying or doing something as illegal as this, but for Shiori, the Mother of Suna, Kaen would go to any lengths to find and serve his queen.

Ayumi noted his gaze & listened intently to his words. She however was not the only one Akkuma listened through her headset & a sinister smile slid across his face. It seems more & more likely that this is the shinobi who interrupted my class. With a chuckle he would speak into the receiver. "Invite him up..." he'd say to Ayumi who would pause briefly surprised her Lord would invite him up so quickly. "It would seem you've caught his attention please proceed to the elevator." she knew she didn't have to tell him which one. She'd watched his gaze follow her kin through that door after all. "Most curious...good luck." she'd say with a giggle wondering what her Lord knew that she didn't.

Once Kaen was inside the lift the doors would close & it would begin rising up to the Foxes office. After a few seconds it would stop at his office there was a brief pause before the doors opened. The camera feeds on the wall all turned to a silent static along with the one upon his desk. "It seems we meet again, most curious I wonder what it is you want from her..." he'd say those crimson eyes holding Kaen within their gaze. He'd lean back in his chair imagining the beings reasons for wishing to find her. For Akkuma knew it would only be a matter of time until his path crossed hers once again. This time he hoped he'd be ready little did he know that he would not get his chance that quickly.

"I wonder how much trouble you'll get me in with that class infiltration." he said with a chuckle it would seem that he was unfazed by the actions that had been taken against him. The Trickster Fox would gesture to the chair opposite his desk & for his guest to take a seat. "You see not that I don't like your terms...but I think we could be far more helpful to one another then just one simple task. What is it you desire?" Straightening up & sitting forward he would place a candle upon the desk. With a snap of his fingers causing the candle to burst into flame. That crimson eyed gaze of his would lock on Kaen's as he attempted tot use a jutsu he'd developed to discover the desires of those he dealt with.

Akkuma knew if he saw something it would be far more interesting than the desires of those he usually used it on. This individual was bound to be interesting if he had something to do with Rioshi. It would seem that the game with the Trickster Fox had already begun. He couldn't help but wonder which Kaen would find most confusing Akkuma's willingness to overlook their previous encounter. Or the shinobi's ability to conjure ones desires to life in the flames. All that was required was a thought from the being, a singular thought could speak a thousand words with jis jutsu.

The woman's pupils dilated briefly as if something surprised her, was it something he said, no perhaps not. It was possible there was some sort of communication going on, but that is hardly surprising given the place and exact nature of this meeting. Then to his own surprise, still holding out on whether it's delightful or not, was invited up to see the 'boss'. It would appear that Kaen had said the magic word, at least these were his hopes. It was entirely possible he might be walking right into a trap. Either way Kaen was prepared and removed himself from the table and gave a courteous nod to the woman before turning his attentions towards the illustrious white elevator door just a few yards away. This was it, if everything went according to plan many things would come to fruition.

The doors would close behind him as he entered, sealing off the noise from the previous room. Only the remarkable sound barrier and the cute music that played within remained. With a subtle yet enjoyable ding, the doors opened. Kaen took a moment to graze over the entirety of the room and found it resembling a control center of sorts. It had an executive office feel to it, aside from the 'Big Brother' set up on the wall, the monitors holding only the image of static. "It seems we meet again, most curious I wonder what it is you want from her..." The voice immediately caught his attention and his body tensed briefly. He had heard this voice before, from the academy. It was the imposter, how curious. Strange that he didn't attempt to flee and openly invited Kaen up here, he must have something incredibly valuable to Kaen. His chances of finding Mother Suna were improving vastly. Kaen walked out of the elevator towards the fox of a man. "The one that got away..." Kaen stopped a few yards short of Akkuma, funny he used his real name posing as a teacher. "I wonder how much trouble you'll get me in with that class infiltration." He laughed lightly, seemingly unworried about the entire ordeal that had occurred just earlier this month.

As he took the offered seat, Kaen would give a quick retort, confused but intrigued. "Probably not so much considering It hasn't been reported, yet." Kaen smirked, slightly revealing a portion of his shark like teeth. Akkuma would continue to speak, sounding as if he wanted to sweeten the deal, so to speak. "You see... It's not that I don't like your terms... but I think we could be far more helpful to one another then just one simple task. What is it you desire?" Kaen pondered for a moment as the fox pulled out a small candle and snapped a bit of life into it. They locked eyes before he spoke, Kaen could feel the pull of influence that this man was attempting to convey, inevitably deciding to let it wash over him. His mental prowess was not the sharpest, but he held some sort of-clarity- in his reserves. "Desire? There are many things I desire, but I crave power above all else. Some things in this life are counting on my power..." Kaen's voice trailed off as he thought to his sister, Kasen. In that instant she would appear in Akkuma's flame, but only for a brief moment before the image stirred and began to take a new shape. "She is the origin of this power, through her I can do what must be done." This time it took the shape of a beautiful blonde woman, Shiori. It was then that Kaen noticed what exactly it meant for him to share his desires, it was a clever trick with the fire, but it wasn't nearly as complex as one might have thought.

Kaen reclined in his chair and folded his hands across his chest. "But if you really want to know what I desire..." Kaen would focus his mind, attempting to use his own mental fortitude and inborn ability to manipulate the lovely flames of life. The candle's intensity would increase nearly ten fold, if only for a brief moment. If Akkuma was quick and observant, he would be able to make out the visage of a world on fire. And then it would die out completely before Kaen sat back up and leaned against the desk. "There is more that meets the eye with me, Lord Miroku, as I'm sure the same can be said about you. It's clear that each of us are willing to go to many lengths to accomplish what we desire, whatever those might be. I too feel that we can lend each other more... support than a single exchange of services. But the question still stands on my part, whether or not you truly have the resources to locate what I seek and whether or not this 'relationship' is sustainable and worthwhile. So tell me, Akkuma, are you worth my time?" Kaen would again take a relaxed position as he awaited this Lord Akkuma's response. Today truly was turning out far more interesting than anticipated. At this rate he will be by his queen in no time at all.

His prey walked further into the Foxes Den as the elevator doors closed behind him. Akkuma smiled as Kaen's words made him chuckle confirming it was indeed the shadow who'd infiltrated his class. However when the shadow stated the incident hadn't been reported yet the Fox found himself intrigued that the individual hadn't reported the events of that day. The desires of his prey took a variety of shapes firstly the image of a human he had never laid eyes upon. Next came the sight of 'Rioshi' or as he had learnt thanks to the man's clumsy search her real name was Shiori otherwise known as Mother Suna. He found it curious she used an acronym of her original name. A risky move should anyone have known her true identity as the shadow before him had.

Akkuma listened intently to the man's words so she gave him his power. But what powers was it that he spoke of he knew she was an Ancient perhaps she'd imbued him with some kind of strength. Though if that was the case he could only believe the Daimyo had an Ancient doing the same or had achieved another method of doing so. When the flames showed the world burning Akkuma leaned back in his seat clasping his clawed hands together. Nodding as the being before him spoke. While he agreed there was much the being before him could aid him in he knew he could not allow him to achieve his true dream. The easiest way to do that was to ensure he was as close to the being as possible for when the time came. For Akkuma was many monstrous things, but he desired nothing then to strengthen the shinobi & return them to the status of Gods once more. But that didn't mean they couldn't work together to until the day their paths diverged.

"Perhaps you're right...I admit I could see us working together efficiently." as those crimson eyes rested up Kaen's form. It was the Ancients next words that caused a sly smile to spread across the Trickster Foxes face. "I have the means to track her. I have a record of her chakra signature & her Anbu Attire." he'd casually say as he leaned forward continuing to speak. "If I'm being honest she may track me down before I do her...she seems to have taken a particular interest in my activities." he would say the look on his face gave no sign of concern at that fact. Standing he would move to a nearby wall. Turning to face the being before him as he spoke once more "...what is this power she gave you?" he'd ask his curiosity getting the better of him. He'd been unable to just skip over that little crumb of information.

Kaen's eyes lit up instantly the moment he spoke of her involvement with the Sunagakurian Anbu. Surprising was a mere understatement, to say the least. How had he not known? Had their paths crossed many times or was this new information? How could he have been so foolish so as to not even have noticed her presence. Kaen was quickly working himself into a dizzy before he finally realized just who the hell they were talking about. This was Shiori, the Queen of the Ancients. She had been alive for ages, surely if she didn't want to be found, she had the means to hide herself even among the ranks of the elite. Kaen's attention was jerked back from his bewilderment as he posed another curious question, it seemed he was already gauging and sizing Kaen up for something. "...what is this power she gave you?"

Kaen tapped his fingers on the desk, he was unsure if he could truly trust this man. Perhaps it was best that he never fully placed that with this many tailed 'man'. In time Kaen would reveal all to him, but for now perhaps it would be better to be ambiguous about the situation until the time was right. Kaen would lean forward in his desk, halting the tapping of his fingers. "I suppose you could call it a gift. You see it was less about what she gave me and more about what she revealed to me and further unlocked within me. I would be willing to give you a demonstration, but I fear your insurance policy on this place doesn't cover Ruin." Kaen wasn't one of great patience, more so considering he knew nothing about this man and all the strings that inevitably came along with a meeting such as this. Too much was at stake for him to get caught making deals with the devil, so to speak. Kaen wasted no time beating around the bush and preferred a more direct approach, at least in this situation. "So what is it that you want from me in exchange for the Mother of Suna?" Perhaps he would not have been so blunt if he knew of all the things to come from this relationship, but only time can mend such offenses. Surely Akkuma could understand where he was coming from, if he knew who and what Shiori was, then surely he already knew what Kaen was. He just hoped whatever plans he had for his 'gift' would not put him too far out into the light. Not if the future would have any chance at coming into fruition.

The Faustian Fox noticed the change in body language from the individual when he mentioned her being apart of the Anbu. Perhaps he had not known she had been so close to him. What that thought must be doing to the individual before him, he licked his lips at the thought. He found the words of the being before him most intriguing. Perhaps he'd found himself another potential candidate for his experiments. If only he knew that the being before him was going to be more vital to his efforts then he knew. "...Interesting. You'll need to demonstrate sometime when the landscape could do with some altering." with those words he'd walk to the wall behind his desk as his guest spoke. When he was asked what he wanted for his services he turned to face the shinobi & chuckled in a manner that would send the hearts of most mortals into a frenzy.

"It's quite simple you see...all I want is some blood or tissue. I have some projects & due to your...mysterious nature I'd like to see what variable you bring into the test." he'd say as he placed his hand upon the wall. A secret door would slide aside revealing the entrance to another lift. Taking a step inside he would turn to face Kaen "Come now...since you seem too concerned to be upfront. I shall take the first steps. Allow me to show you some of my more...forbidden work." with those words he would wait for the being to join him in the lift before sealing the wall up once more. Then he would activate the process to have the descend into one of the many labs he had begun to establish in his time here. After a brief moment they would exit into a hallway which would lead them to the beginnings of a small facility.

Staff wearing midnight black masks moved silently passed them into another room sealing it shut behind them as they continued on wards into the next room. "Don't mind the staff..." he'd say as they continued on their path. With another wave of his hand he opened yet another hidden door. Inside they would find a man in his late thirties who'd been severely wounded on a mission many years back. While he'd gained a prosthetic he'd never regained the skill he had once in battle. Akkuma stepped forward biting his thumb & drawing a blood sigil on the mans forehead. Placing his hands down before the man he began to chant as ominous kitsune fire kanji began to form & float around the individual. Soon the blood before him would glow brightly before it began to encase the man spreading over his form. Before long he would be encased in a chrysalis-like state. Turning to face his guest he would begin speaking once more.

"With time that genes I used in the sealing ritual will spread throughout his body. Think of it much-like a genetic infection of sorts. Over time it spreads & eventually completely changes the individual. Although it is a procedure that requires multiple treatments." those crimson eyes would assess the being before him as he spoke. "I've only performed a few trials so far but all subjects have exceeded initial trial expectations." he'd say with a smile upon his face that made it very obvious he was proud of his work. Admittedly he'd put the trial on hiatus for a great deal of time but since arriving he'd found himself overwhelmed with potential candidates. There was so much diversity within this village he imagined the creations he could make would be limitless. But he wasn't after quantity he wanted quality. "If my request is too....bold. Then I would request that you get me inside the depths of the Obsidian..." he would say to the being no doubt a request that sounded like sheer madness. But ever since that day on the edges of the Pit he could never shake the thoughts of those Events from his mind.

It was obvious this man was not the usual aligned type you might find walking the streets of Sunagakure, no. He dealed with the underside of all that gentle light, doing the things others won't or can't. His playful yet almost sinister chuckle told him at least that much. If not that then his proposed offer most certainly painted the picture for Kaen. His request for his blood sent his mind cascading back to his childhood days in that place. Kaen would shake the vivid thoughts from his mind, not EVERYONE was as sadistic as they were. Science was becoming more and more popular these days, surely Akkuma wasn't the type to steal helpless children from their bedsides, right? All this time spent pondering and Akkuma had already opened up a secret passage to a lift, beckoning him into it to further prove his intentions. That and it seemed he had grown rather comfortable with Kaen given the fact he was willing to share 'forbidden' projects with him, despite his affiliations. I suppose if Kaen was already this far in he might as well see it through to the end and make his final judgment then and there.

Kaen arose from his seat, glancing back at his only exit and taking a deep breathe before turning back around. "Very well, Akkuma. Show me what you got." Stepping out from behind the chair, Kaen made his way to the lift where Akkuma then sealed the door behind them and activated the mechanisms to start their descent. And so they stood, that uncomfortable silence that was only alleviated by the unexpected musical tone that played so sweetly in the lift. Funny that despite the serious overtones that were being discussed, he had this type of music playing inside his lifts that lead to his secret projects... [Insert elevator music here]

Just as Kaen was getting into the groove of that melody, humming aloud and tapping his feet, the elevator doors opened up and they went onward and further into the complex. Incredible really that such a place had remained hidden within the casino, Kaen began to wonder if Akkuma was craftier than he thought or if had others on his payroll that allowed him to move so freely inside Sunagakure. No wonder the Sennin wanted Kaen to bring him in. As they turned a corner, another person nearly ran straight into Kaen. He had to falter in his steps for a moment to avoid the collision and yet the ebony masked individual kept on going as if nothing was even wrong. He was about to give them an earful but Akkuma interjected quickly. "Don't mind the staff..." Kaen glared in the general direction of the 'staff' for a brief moment before returning his attentions to the path before them. Once again another door opened up like magic, some unseen sensor granting Akkuma entrance. What came next would bring Kaen closer to fully accepting this man's offer. Only another question needed answered before he would fully commit to this new route in life.

Within the next room an array of beeps and whirs flooded his ears. It appeared it was some sort of medical ward, a number of beds lined the walls, a few of them housing various 'subjects'. Akkuma would approach the nearest one to them, atop the bed laid an older man, couldn't be much older than 30 by the looks of him. He appeared to have lost a limb given the prosthetic that was propped up against the side of the bed. Akkuma would proceed to perform a seal of some sort by drawing, with his own blood, a archaic symbol upon the man's forehead while chanting something in a language unknown to him. Flames sparked to life and danced around the bed the held the old man. Kaen had seen some crazy things before, but this one was a new trick. Suddenly the blood began to glow and the man was encased in a mysterious hardened chakra cocoon. Akkuma would face him once more and continue with his sales pitch. Kaen would place his right hand across his chest and used it as a prop for his left arm. He would gently caress the bottom of his chin as he listened intently with much interest.

It was made painfully clear that Akkuma was a man of science, Kaen could only hope that he wasn't like the men of science from his past. One way or another, he would find out for sure. His work certainly mirrored that of 'those people', perhaps Akkuma would be able to explain the scientific parts to his origin. Kaen snapped out of his ponderings at the mention of the Anbu HQ. Part of him wanted to know how he knew where it was, but in the back of his mind he figured that if this man was capable of masking such a place as this, surely he had a grip on this village's secrets. "No, it's not that your request is too bold. You have done a marvelous job of selling these grandeur ideas. Though I most certainly could get you in there with ease, they are expecting me to bring you in for questioning after all..." Kaen would approach a nearby window that overlooked a larger section of his facility, numerous 'staff' were busy moving from here to there, talking about various other projects and inputting data here or there. It all seemed harmless enough. But from an onlooker's perspective from a distance, looks can be deceiving. It would be better to make this place look beneficial should anyone come investigating. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar, or so they say. Kaen kept his gaze forward as he watched Akkuma's worker bees below. "Your patients, do they freely come to you or is this one of those stealing babies from their mother's arms type of set up? Or perhaps a mix of both..." The answer to this question would seal the deal and their nearly intertwined fates. The future depended on the actions of today and this moment. The board is set, the pieces are moving...

The Faustian Fox was pleased so far things seemed to be going quite well, he'd even managed to avoid a possible confrontation between his guest & one of his subordinates. It seemed that his associate so far was at least willing to hear him out after such a display. With that confidence he continued on as he did taking charge of the scene & making his pitch to the being. No doubt it would be something that was profound to hear, such projects were nothing but hushed rumors even on the highest levels of governments. Yet here before Akkuma was an individual he'd managed to implant himself into a foreign village & begun to form a network within it. Much like a cancer spreading through a body, who knew how vast his network had grown since his arrival. Even with the suspicion & growing evidence against him the risks of removing the Fox would prove to high. For if a vacuum of power were created chaos would break out as they tried to fill the void. In a time such as war that was a risk he doubted the sunan higher ups would take. Particularly due to the results he'd produced with many of their shinobi.

There it was he could feel it around the being as he walked to a nearby observation window. Those crimson eyes of the Faustian Fox followed him as the man began to speak. Akkuma would chuckle at his words of doing a good job at his pitch, what did he expect? He was a demon after all. His guests question made him chuckle a sinister sound as he appraised the being before him. "Curious...after what the flames revealed I didn't take you for a being with a code. But then again why should I be surprised this world is full of curious things." he'd say as he walked over to a nearby table skimming through to find the subject before making the additional notes about the procedure as he continued to speak. "Every case is different. Many seek me out for my services without need of me having to search for them nowadays. Though that is not the case with all. Some have found themselves here due to the heartlessness or close-mindedness of their families. Rejected because those around them could not comprehend the nature of their genetics." he'd say for it was a feeling he knew all too well after all his own mother had cast him aside due to his demonic lineage.

Turning to face the being he'd invited into the depths of his lab he would continue speaking. "...some have come as part of payment for contracts that have been made with me. Perhaps barbaric to some but I would say this...what kind of future would they have with people willing to make such deals? They just got lucky I'm not a more malevolent being...don't worry yourself. Everyone is treated as family, those who wish to leave may do so once they've mastered their natures." he would calmly say in a business-like manner walking forward after all he couldn't have them going berserk & taking out half a district it'd draw too much attention to his work. Coming to a stop next to his interesting associate he would speak a final time before allowing him to make a decision. "All of them have been cast aside or forgotten by those around them & the village they love. I see the potential within all of them...a purpose for each being. For some that alone is salvation, to the rest I'm the being who gave them the chance to take their lives into their own hands." he would say turning before turning to face the being he stood beside. There were a couple anomalies to what he had said but on a scale of production those particular subjects weren't worth mentioning as on a statistical measure they weren't even a blip on the graph. Better to hide a small lie among many truths.

He'd never denied the monstrosity of his methods but at the same time he questioned the ethics of those who'd struck such arrangements with him. Justifying himself by the way in which he treated all those he treated. Even if they weren't kin he kept a watchful eye over them. For many of them ended up joining his clan, many among his numbers had been blessed by their Lords work. Those many tails flicked behind him as he waited for the being before him to finish deliberating. He found himself thoroughly interested in this being before him & eager to hear what he'd decided on the matter. He could have lied to the being before him, but even if his lie was truth would the being before him have believed him? Akkuma's hands were behind his back as he stood there calmly before the Anbu. Chakra beginning to swirl around his clawed fingertips on the off chance he needed to restrict the beings use of Ninjutsu. The thrill of how his guest would react made his heart race & those many tails flick behind him.

Kaen looked down to his watch noting the time, not that he had anywhere to be, call it a nervous tick if you'd like. You might not think someone of Kaen's caliber would get nervous, call it unfamiliar territory or perhaps the fact alone that he was breaking numerous laws right now and should he strike a deal with the devil, so to speak, he would continue to break laws and endanger not only himself but Kasen as well. He needed to weigh his choices very carefully from here on out. "Curious...after what the flames revealed I didn't take you for a being with a code. But then again why should I be surprised this world is full of curious things." Kaen would smile lightly, his teeth gleaming for the briefest of moments in the reflection of the glass he was staring out of. "It's less about following a code and more in regards to a personal experience of mine. Perhaps if our... relationship matures just right, I'll tell you that story over some drinks. Anyway, sorry to interrupt, please continue." Kaen would go on to listen, in great detail, Akkuma's explanation of how things are ran here. While it might have felt like days, even weeks, since the conversation was flowing, in reality it was merely seconds.

Akkuma had finished trying to convince Kaen that everything was, albeit not legal, well and dandy within the confines of the demon's facilities. Though Kaen was employed by the government of Sunakagure under the jurisdiction of the Anbu, he was not originally from these lands and thus cared less about the various rules and regulations set before the people of Wind country. Kaen and Kasen had practically raised themselves from childhood, you can't honestly expect a couple of wild savages, or at least that's how people might have viewed them back then, to always follow the rules. They liked to think for themselves, not wander around aimlessly like the rest of the sheep around here. Kaen raised one arm about chest level and used it as a prop for his other arm which extended a open hand towards his chin which he caressed lightly in a methodical and inquisitive fashion. "Very well Miroku Akkuma, I accept your offer..." Kaen would turn around to face Akkuma and stretched out his hand while letting the other fall freely to his side. It was clearly a demonstration of good faith, simple yet reaffirming in nature. The handshake was often the action that followed many life altering deliberations and this moment was no different.

After he took his hand, or not, Kaen would speak as Akkuma led him further down the rabbit hole, or if their business was coming to a conclusion perhaps the front door. "As a measure of good faith, and also from my understanding of how a great deal of things often come with a price, I shall relinquish a single vial of my blood immediately. And then once the Mother of Suna has been found and reunited with me, I will give you more, should you require it." On this fateful day many things were set into motion, an unrelenting and nigh unstoppable force of power that would forever change the flow of life as Kaen knew it. It was only a matter of time before he would be complete, so to speak. Perhaps this partnership might even grow into one of those strange things people call friendship...

While he spoke those crimson eyes assessed the being before him. He seemed to be listening intently to every word Akkuma was saying. At least he was giving him the chance to explain his ethics. What the Anbu decided to do after that would be entirely up to him. After a few brief words from his guest he started to think that perhaps there would be room for them to grow into comrades. His guest apologized for the interruption after he corrected something the Sage had said in regards to his behavior. But little did he know that those words perhaps gave away more then he intended. For someone like Akkuma it was easy to guess at least vaguely what had happened. Kaen had found himself at the hands of an individual such as himself. Perhaps he would find out more about this individual & the work that had been done.

But for now he would learn what he could from the subject & the sample provided. When he had finished his guest seemed deep in thought before holding out a hand before him saying they had a deal. Akkuma smiling clasping the Anbu's hand firmly in his own the chakra fading from his hand. "I have sealing jutsu to ensure parties maintain their word...but you strike me as the type who won't be able to resist delving further into my world. So I won't be marking you, wouldn't want you bosses finding out after all." he'd say with a chuckle releasing Ruin's hand. Reaching into his coat he retrieved a small syringe pack with an empty vial handing it to his guest. "I assume you wish to draw the sample Ruin." he'd say calms & in a business'like manner.

So eager for the sample was he that he'd even allow the concession of Ruin drawing it himself if that increased his chances of getting another in the future. While Ruin extracted the sample Akkuma moved over to the desk & withdrew a headset from within it. "This device only runs on the one channel. Once I have located her I will let you know. I don't know how much time you'll have once I have so don't hesitate or you may not get another chance." he'd say in business-like manner. After all he didn't know what would happen when he found her again or when she found him. But that was part of the thrill for the Sage these unique beings that seemed to dwell within these lands. He would unlock what they were & what gave them their strength. When he received the vial he'd exchange it for the headset. A wide grin upon his face already wondering what the future would hold for the two of them from this day.

Taking Kaen's hand firmly within his own, Akkuma sealed the deal. The red headed Shinku grinned in response to the potential of how far this particular rabbit hole could take him. "Of course, it would spoil everything if anyone were to discover us so quickly. And yes, I can take the sample." Taking the medical instruments in his hands, Kaen would roll up a sleeve. With a small length of ninja wire hidden in the seam of his gig line, he would wrap it around his bicep causing his veins to protrude more than normal. Without hesitation Kaen would plunge the needle into his veins and begun pulling thick viscous liquid from within. To the naked eye it would appear normal, nothing out of the ordinary considering Kaen's supposed linage. With a single finger he would singe the small needle wound shut.

Akkuma would return from his desk and exchange a radio-headset for the used needle and filled vial of Kaen's blood. Once in the faustian fox's hands, he would immediately notice a significant difference that would hopefully reassure him of the legitimacy of his newly struct bargain. The vial would be slightly heavier than one would expect and the glass that kept the deep red fluid enclosed would almost be scorching to the touch, cool enough to not seriously burn, but hot enough to be uncomfortable. Almost nothing will stop my arrival when the time comes. I will be there, I can promise you that. I can only hope that something grand becomes of my contribution." Pocketing the newly attained headset, Kaen would readjust his collar in the glass that overlooked Akkuma's lab. "I'm sure this goes without saying, but i'd like to think what transpired here will remain confidential and off any official records or logs. You know how we Anbu are, I'd hate for anything unfortunate to befall any of us." Turning to face Akkuma once more, Kaen would begin to conclude their most advantageous exchange of services. "If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. But I digress, I am needed elsewhere. If there is anything else...?" Kaen left an open ended offer, perhaps there was more Akkuma required from him before he left. If not he would attempt to make his way to the exit.

The sample was drawn & the exchange made. Both seemed pleased with how the deal had gone so far. Akkuma would chuckle at Ruin's words. "Indeed, where would the fun be in it?" a rhetorical question from the Sage finished with a devilish grin. There was something that was immediately observable about the sample. It's weight for the small mass was vastly different to what one would expect. Not too mention the heat that was emanating from the liquid. "Curious..." the demon would utter as he held the sample in his grasp. Akkuma's eyes would flicker to meet the beings gaze once more at his response to the Sages chosen words. That was something Akkuma would be counting on.

When Ruin spoke vaguely of the methods of the Anbu he chuckled "Oh don't worry I know first hand the hubris of the Anbu Corps of this village. I can respect your wishes for confidentiality." he would say with a chuckle for now he had a new piece on the board. Turning he pocketed the vial within his robe moving back to his desk. He'd assumed their business was coming to a conclusion & was going to close down the last of his devices. That was when Ruin asked if there was anything else that he needed from the individual. The question made the Sage pause for a moment before turning back to face his new ally. Lifting his hand to his hair he would run it back through it slowly as he chuckled "I wasn't going to say anything but since you asked...I'm sure your superiors are building a dossier on me. I wouldn't be surprised if they have agents watching me..." his eyes would rest on Ruin for a moment as he spoke those words.

"To have a way to access their reports would prove valuable to me...if need be I could teach you a jutsu that would allow you to replicate them." he'd continue on with a smile. Walking towards the exit & gesturing for Ruin to follow him. After all if the Sage could gain access to their reports it would give him quite the advantage. The more eyes he had within the forces of sunagakure the better. All the more hearts that would eventually grow fond of his people & he would need simply on tend the ripples that echoed out through the village. Stepping into the Elevator he would wait until his guest was within & the doors had closed before saying "Naturally I'd be happy to help you with any tasks that you may have..." he'd say in a business-like manner leaning back on the wall of the lift. A sinister smile upon his face as he waited for Ruin's response.

Kaen thought for a moment, pondering an appropriate response to a second proposal. New jutsu was always an enticing offer to the Flame Court Ancient, but alas this relationship had only begun. Much trust and respect was yet to be earned. This Faustian Fox was surely quite thirsty, his reach nearly overextending. Kaen chuckled a bit as he entered the elevator along side Akkuma. "Your request is quite bold, we barely know each other. Perhaps we could discuss this over a meal. Jumping straight into treason is quite the proposition. I would like to see our first bargain come to fruition before making anymore promises, I hope you understand..."

Kaen paused a moment to hear his new friend's response, whom he was sure would respond with an understanding nature. Kaen would nod in agreement to his next statement. "I appreciate your support, I look forward to our united future, Akkuma."Together these two would do grand things, surely it was possible. But first things first, he needed to be reunited with his Queen, the Mother of Suna, Shiori. And with that the elevators would close, bringing this most advantageous chapter of their cooperative journey to a close. Another, surely much more interesting, story was about to unfold in the near future. Only time and patience would they see the end of this most peculiar story...

The demon eyed Ruin with curiosity as he listened to his response. It seemed Ruin was already hesitant in denying the demon, although it wasn't an outright no. Just a not yet. When the shadow asked if he understood the shinobi would chuckle. "Worry not it doesn't matter...you asked I simply became curious as to how far you would go. I'm sure once our efforts have come to fruition our business deals can grow." he'd say with a flash of that wide grin. Ruin would give his farewell & the demon would bow as he departed. "As do I Ruin..." with those words he'd step back into his lift as the being had much to do.

Before long he would be well onto the path of achieving his goals. The demon sage had began to accumulate quite a significant amount of materials to utilize in his project. Once the doors he would step out into a tunnel. Beginning to proceed down the path there was something he needed to retrieve before he finished up here today. A few other samples in order to thoroughly make some comparisons to that of the one he had received. There was much he needed to think about & he had some planning to do if he was to hold up his end of the bargain.
