Accessed by way of a hidden access ladder in the cellar of the Charcoal Hut, a winding staircase provides greeting to Anbu members. Members are keen to avoid certain steps along the stairwell, which are pressure triggered to sound an alert within the Anbu HQ of an intruder, causing many to take their time during the descent. After about two hundred flights of stairs downwards, one is suddenly met with an open expanse littered with suspended walkways at varied elevations. It is within this open space that Anbu Agents congregate either prior to mission assignment, patrol duty, or training. While the facility houses some members with all the amenities required, many do not choose to reside here but at personal or family residences. Members of Anbu also keep all related gear within individual lockers as it is prohibited to possess the uniform unless actively participating in branch affairs.
