He spoke much too soon. Much, much too soon. Earlier that week he had a mission to deliver a sword, thinking that it was better then having to hunt down cats. And now he was searching the countryside for a goat. it was still better than it being a dog or a cat right? At the very least a goat could put up a fight, though 'fighting a goat' is definitely not something he would want to put on his ANBU resume. "Goat...hey goat! Where are you?" He would call out as he entered the surrounding forest, cupping his hands around his mouth. He felt very silly doing such a thing since...what did he expect? For the goat to answer? For the dumb beast to come running?
Then he heard it, braying loudly, and following the noise he would soon find it, munching on some grass. The animals seemed to have sense the boy, turning to face him and he swore it glared at him. "There you are. Now come on...you need to get back home..." He would try to reassure it as he slowly advanced on it, trying not to come off as threatening. His words and demeanor had little effect however as the animal suddenly charged at him, braying loudly. The boy held his ground, dropping into his fighting stance, waiting until it just about reached him before he jumped to the side. Fingertips would fly, stabbing into the goats neck, a weak howl from the creature before it crashed mid-run. "We could've done this the easy way...but noooo..." He would sigh as he wrapped his arms around the goat, grunting as he lifted the paralyzed animal. The effects of his strike would wear off soon, just enough time to get it back to its owner's farm, the boy turning to head out of the woods.
