The ornately carved doors of the Kazekage's office slid open with a whisper, revealing an empty room. Having been granted the access to just, pop up, on the Kazekage, Sora figured that the important news that he had to share from a fellow rival shinobi world power probably warranted a knock once, approach. However, something seemed to be off and there the Ancient stood for a moment, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. He'd given Shin enough of a heads up and of all the people to profess it, punctuality was paramount to being a shinobi and Shin was never late unless it was an emergency. "Lord Twelfth?" he called out, his voice echoing in the empty room. There were the usual coffee and tea sets sitting nicely and of course the Kazekage's plants were as healthy as ever. Sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating the stacks of scrolls piled on the massive desk and his personal polished metal tea set sat untouched on his desk as well.
The silence stretched, broken only by the faint hum of the desert wind filtering through the windows. Sora's brow furrowed, something seemed off but he couldn't put his finger on it. There had to be a reason that Shin wasn't present for such an urgent meeting. Especially when it was Shin's aim to forge some sort of peace with the other nations. Scanning the room again, his sharp eyes searching for any clues. Perhaps a message, a misplaced document, anything that might shed light on the Kazekage's whereabouts or the reason for the delay, yet he found nothing and instead he was forced to close the door behind him and to leave just as he had came.
