Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Undersea, Out of the Way Fishing Corner

Aion stood on the shores of the Fisherman's Grotto and stared across the dark waters with a small smile. The Undersea was a marvel. He had certainly never seen anything like it in the Land of Fire, and to think, it was underground! Despite having grown up amid theoretically fertile plains he had to admit. The soft whisper of water amid cavernous gloom had its own kind of dark beauty. He cast a thoughtful glance across the water. A lone fishing boat sat on the water, perched like a bird of prey. Its single lantern bobbed back and forth. It was early, even earlier than the fishermen usually started. But that was intentional. He had wanted somewhere soothing to train. At least for what he had in mind. He imagined there would come a day when he would need privacy, and a more secure location no doubt. But for today, today the hint of interruption was just what the doctor ordered.

He drew his coat closer around him and took a step onto the surface of the water. Another reason he began so early was to avoid disturbing the fishermen's fishing. He knew too well the frustration of hard work meddled with. He took careful measured steps. Shinobi learned the surface walking techniques early on. They were invaluable tools. They were also a lot of fun living underground. Today however, they would become another tool in his training. He stopped ten feet out. He needed depth, the immediate incentive was to avoid taking a dip into cold waters. But he still needed to be able to get to shore quickly, even if he was exhausted.

With a quick wave to the boat he dropped to his haunches and pressed a hand to the water. He allowed it to lick his palm before he channeled chakra into it and began to repel it. He, like most shinobi learned the full body technique, it just wasn't ideally used. You never want to be on the ground after all, or the water in this instance. This time however the extra concentration would be his boon. He spent several moments focusing on the slight stress before dropping into a lotus position and forming a ram seal. He didn't have a particular jutsu in mind. It just helped him focus.

After a moment to settle he began a basic exercise. Circulating his chakra. From the moment he stepped into the Academy and listened to the lecture on the shinobi arts he knew which called to him. He also knew it was rigorous and difficult and he would have to train hard if he wanted to make it. But he would. He had asked his teacher for meditation techniques before he graduated, and until he learned otherwise he would continue to use them to improve.

Inhale...seven counts,

Hold,

Exhale, seven counts,

Hold

Yes, this would do for now, a nice peaceful afternoon of meditation, one more step to his goal.

Inhale..

Truth be told. He hadn't explored much within' this region of the village. "The undersea huh.. Guess it's somewhere I could get away from people. Sounds vacant." the young boy thought to himself idly as his footsteps sloshed against the sand-stone and sandy flooring.

The area was abnormal and almost surreal in contrast to the rest of the village. Especially from where Karu originated from- The slums of course were less than stellar. The crisp reflective colors that gently wafted through the cavern soothed the troubled soul. He was pure in mind, but as of recently his body was that of a poor experiment no one intended. Not even those who planned it. A sick play of fate, regardless- He pressed forth.
It didn't take long to notice the two that were present in the desolate early morning. One not far from the beach, and the other seemed notably a fisherman. One in a boat- One on his ass.

Staring at the one sitting in the middle of the water, he observed with half-lidded eyes. "Eye-spy another shinobi. Didn't make it hard." he continued to muse to himself mentally.
By the time he reached the water's edge into the grand abyss of liquidy-fear. He stared, for a longing moment. Until he stepped out. The sloshing sound wasn't terribly difficult to hear amidst the gentle silence. The fluids and gooey substances that slicked off his body almost indefinitely seemed to harden at-top the water and slowly dissolve into the air. Giving off a putrid smell as it happened.

Having closed the distance some to Aion, he knelt down both flats of his feet still on the water. His lab-coat gently drifted along with the water where his goo hadn't already claimed. Until he was a few feet away. "Yo. You're a new face." of course-- It wasn't hard to know Karu was coming, despite his sounds. He smelled awful something of a mixture of decay and sickness that was inflicted on plague victims. His appearances weren't much to convince people he wasn't a victim of something. He was of course, somewhat dead.

Aion was content to spend his afternoon meditating. The survivalist in him marked around an hour before something inhumanely foul wafted on a breeze and shattered his concentration. It was so startling from the serenity of the sea that he couldn't help the utter bewilderment that claimed him. He barely reclaimed his senses and hadn't even turned around before a small sickly face popped into his field of view and renewed the assault on his poor nose.

He could only blink at the pale cracked features. Only his training was to thank for catching what the boy, for that is what the outrageously offensive thing was, said.

"A new..ah," He offers a slightly strained smile as he gives the boy a once over. Catching sight of his headband he relaxes a little and nods. "I suppose so. I haven't been about much." He pauses for a moment, idly wondering if it was polite to bring up the smell, or the boys cracked face, or the...discharge rolling off of him. It can't have escaped his notice.

After a moments consideration he decided on a gentle approach. It couldn't hurt, and he didn't want to upset the poor boy. His smile grew just a little and he nodded. He certainly wasn't going to offer a hand yet.

"Hello, I am called Aion. Ah, can I help you with something?" He made sure to pitch his tone in a casual inquisitive manner. He was, by all accounts a stranger after all.

"Hello, I am called Aion. Ah, can I help you with something?"

Watching Aion a moment to observe his expression and shows of reluctance didn't seem to get by the young boy. Which he appeared very much so-- Despite the circumstances.
Squinting his left eye in response to his facial expressions. But made no effort to point it out. Interest rested in his question- It was new, and he hadn't started running yet. Which is a plus in his books!

"Huh.. Never got this far before." It seemed he was in a monologue with himself for a moment. Raising an index finger as a point, both eyes closed to further emphasize himself. "Perhaps some time, yes. I don't get out much. Meeting new people- Potential friends goes a long way." At this point he had reopened his eyes. Adjusted his body to sit atop the water as if it were second-nature to him.

And extended his hand to shake. "Name's Karu."

"Names Karu"

Aion blinks and nods. He watches the boy watching him and knows he wasn't quite as cautious as he could have been. It was unacceptable really. He was a Shinobi, and should have better control. Still, the boy didn't seem to upset at it, more resigned? hopeful? He couldn't tell. He would have to do better. And it seemed likely he would have an opportunity. At this point he already understands that this is a thing now and may as well get all the necessities out of the way. When Karu extends a hand he points at it and the rotting and straight up asks.

"Is that safe to touch?" It was frank, though he did try and make it as blandly accusing as possible. It was a valid question as far as he was concerned and they would do well to get it out of the way before going much further.

"Is that safe to touch?"

His attention diverted from looking Aion in the eye. To his own hand; there was a brief and notable pause in the young boy as he stared. He had opened his mouth to speak, only to be met with a mental-block. "Is it safe?" he mentally inquired. Mouth still agape, until he looked up to Aion once more. Hand still extended. "Truth be told! I have no idea. Could touch it and find out?" He jokingly laughed a moment, retracting the hand. Noticing the concern, and slight sting to the other boys' voice and action.

Having placed either hand on his lap, legs crossed and still was watching Aion. Funny that he was more interested in watching some random person than a uniquely spectacular sight of the environment around him.

"So what brings you out here Aion?" Perhaps more was becoming apparent of the boy. But his tonal ranges and clarity of voice seem to alter too and fro every now and again. It was inconsistent, as if things were moving and churning inside- And occasionally bumped voice crucial parts. It didn't seem to bother the boy mind you.
