Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Knowledge is a commodity that few seemed to understand. It was limitless, finite, worthless, and invaluable all in the same breath. Yume understood this and was very flattered when she received her mission to convene with the High Priest of Shadows and expound on this knowledge. She sat waiting in the back of the Grand Hall furiously scribbling notes from a book detailing the attributes of metallurgy. Her eyes would glance up a the clock on occasion and notice it to be passed their meeting time. This would instill a little panic in the Mednin as she wasn’t certain if he had come and gone or if he was horribly late. No, he couldn’t have been here yet. She had arrived two hours early so that she could partake in her own study session. Glancing to bench next to her, she would see that her collaboration of notes on chakra healing would still be in place. With a name indicating affinity to shadows it wasn’t unlikely that he could have shown up and disappeared unnoticed.

Forgive my tardiness. You have been waiting much longer than was required of you, Sagasu Yume of the Inuzuka clan.

Forgiveness need not be asked for when one is willing to wait. Your time is precious and you have things to attend to, it is my honour to be chosen to share knowledge with one such as yourself. Please have a seat

She would wait until he had taken his place at the table before joining him on his right side. Placing the book on the table she would slide it towards him wondering for a moment if he would want a synopsis. Looking up for some cue as to what was expected of her, she would meet his eyes. Swirling pools of ink would stare back and for a moment it would feel as if the world had disappeared as she falls into the abyss. The room would chill around her, blood freezing in her veins as the shadows would overtake her vision. It was over in an instant as she tore her gaze away to ensure her survival. Blinking to clear her sight, she would leaf through the pages of her essay for a moment before closing the book again. Taking a deep breath she prepared for the sensation to overtake her body as she stared back into the abyss.

The honourable Al'Haquish, I present to you the extent of my knowledge in chakra healing. I will not recite to you the entire compendium as you will have the opportunity read it at your leisure.

I would like to take this opportunity to mention that a healer such as yourself might be interested to know that chakra healing relies heavily on the universal balance. If one heals their patient too quickly, relying on their own strength alone, it will severely weaken the patient, potentially permanently deteriorating their own ability to heal themselves in the future. Shinobi in the medical field must understand that we are to assist in healing whilst allowing our patients to heal naturally and in their own time. It is entirely possible to heal a subject fully in a relatively short period but the cost to their well being often out weighs the benefit of the speedy recovery. That being said, there are times when it is necessary. Sadly, there are some in the medical field who prescribe to such philosophies, believing that rapid healing takes no toll on their patient. These assumptions are fallacious.

Furthermore, those who have elemental affinities need to be cautious when aiding those with opposing affinities. Elements are held in a in a yin yang balance of weakness and strength. Fire is weak to Water. Water is weak to Earth. Earth to Lightning. Lightning to Wind. Wind to Fire. On the inverse, the weaknesses of one element are the strengths of another. Fire grows stronger from Wind. Wind grows stronger from Lightning. Lightning from Earth. Earth from Water. Water from Fire. Myself as a practitioner with both Water and Wind affinities must practice great care when healing those whose sympathy lies with Fire or Lightning. However because of this duality, Wind will allow me to help those with a Fire affinity when Water could cause further damage. It is a fine line of balance that must be understood and mastered.

The sage would nod wordlessly, bowing in thanks for this transaction of knowledge and taking up the book in his hands. Yume would watch as he would slowly dematerialize into the shadows, her body frozen from gazing into the depths of the shaman’s soul. The high priest had vanished by the time her faculties had returned to her, the only trace of him being a dark red stained leather-bound tome that was given in trade. She would gently take the book in both of her hands, opening it gently and flipping through the pages. Closing it again, she would smile wide and hug the volume close to her chest. Mmmmmmm. Knowledge.
