The Powers of a Chimera

[Chigokai Yuna]

Yuna had visited the Aesculapium, not that she is hurting or in any danger, no. She is here for something else. Her potent powers of a Chimera is strong, but if the types of bloodlines or core abilities, along with the genetic implants, not pairing well, then it will be all for naught. Her battle with Kazan was proof of that. Her Seikon abilities are good, but not on par with some other bloodlines or core abilities that can work with the Chigokai blood bending and lethality that comes with it. The genetic implants of a survivalist is good but only good for that, survival. What she has in mind could very well be the thing that would work entirely in her favor along with give her the boost of power that she'll need. And if what she read about that report that Rei has on the interrogation with the prisoner, then this swapping of powers might be just the thing that they'll need in the coming days.

She was in her non anbu attire, black armor, with purple red-ish cape as she walked through the halls of the hospital, walking past the busy mednin and regular doctors, past the general part of the hospital to enter the part of the hospital that keeps donated organs and other things. A shinobi is a living weapon, with their bloodlines or core abilities being tools for them to use. Parts from the deceased, donated if they wanted it to be, to help future ninja gain those powers or abilities.

Once she was met with the receptionist, they had asked her what she was looking for. "I am a Chimera. I am swapping out the Seikon abilities for Shikotsumyaku Kaguya bloodline. And also switching out the genetic implants of the Survivalist for Tidecaller." Yes. Kaguya and Tidecaller. Yuna has looked over many files about the Kaguya bloodline, how strong they are when it comes to versatility. And of course, she knows about tidecaller, she was once one.

 

[Shinrya Kitsune]

Given the experise Kitsune had with replacing organs, limbs, and so on, it wasn't unusual for her to get calls from the hospital to perform surgeries on shinobi willing to undergo alterations to obtain higher levels of power. So she made her way down to the hospital, and got scrubbed up so she'd be ready for performing the surgery. As it turned out to be Yuna, Kitsune smiled. Once Yuna was guided into the operating theater, Kitsune would gesture for her to lie down on the table. "Swapping out organs, huh?" she said, "Seikon and Survivalist swapped to Kaguya and Tidecaller, correct?" she asked, for clarification.

Once confirmed, Kitsune'd put Yuna under full anesthesia and began performing the surgery. It was a relatively simple matter to remove the desired organs, but adding Kaguya bloodline material was an annoying beast to deal with. See, their inherent abilities came from their bonemarrow, so Kitsune had to do a full bonemarrow replacement on Yuna, which under ordinary circumstances would hurt like all hell. However, Kitsune had a way around that. She'd harvested some special nerve suppressant chemicals from a recent experiment she had done on some herbs from her garden, and she'd be using those to keep Yuna from feeling any pain during the procedure. It was a delicate process, but Kitsune was confident in her abilities.

However, the bonemarrow wasn't all that needed doing. She'd also have to modify Yuna's chakra network to handle Tidecaller rather than Survivalist. Normally it'd just require retraining for a shinobi to go from one Core Ability to another, but to do it in surgery, it took a bit of extra work. Fortunately for Yuna, she got the best of the best, and after a relatively short operation, her chakra network had been suitably adapted. Fortunately, Yuna having had the Tidecaller abilities in the past made it easier, as it was more coaxing the network into old pathways, rather than forcing it.

After several hours of meticulous work, Kitsune successfully completed the surgery. She carefully monitored Yuna's vitals throughout the procedure, ensuring everything was stable. Once the surgery was done, she closed up the incisions and performed a series of healing jutsu, to accelerate the healing process so Yuna'd end up having no pain once she woke up from the sedation.

Yuna was surprised when she heard the blood flow of someone she recognized and seen that it was Kitsune. "Raikage-sama?" There were few things that startled Yuna, this was one of them. "Um... Yes. I think it would prove useful to have in the long run during fights along with giving me an edge that Seikon and Survivalist hasn't been able to give me."

She allowed herself to be laid down on the operating table and be put under. Everything had went black. After a while, she had finally woken up, albeit, a little sore, it is to be expected. She wanted the full powers of that of a Kaguya and such a thing doesn't come that easily. She knows very well that her own bones are now that of the strongest in the world, with the powers of a Chigokai, would make for a strong combination. As for the tidecaller genetic implants, she has that as a backup chakra pool for her own use so that she doesn't use up as much chakra.

Walking out of the hospital, she knows that just having the Kaguya bones means nothing if she doesn't know how to use them. So afterwards, she hit the library and read all about them, learning about the special dances that come with the Kaguya bloodline. Going back to her place, she trained her body to move as gracefully as a Shikotsumyaku Kaguya. It would take days of endless training for her to achieve such a feat. Not only that, but she has learned to grow accustomed to tearing out her own bones to use as weapons. Similar to that of using her own blood as weapon, but just a little bit more painful to bear. Because of this, her own body was being accustomed to the extreme conditions that it now finds itself in. Continual damage such as this to someone normal, heck even a Chigokai, would start to feel the wear and tear. But adding in the powers of the Kaguya, her own body was adapting to the powers and molding with them.

With her now able to have two chakra pools, she can focus her water and blood techniques to the tidecaller chakra pool, and the other, solely with everything else.
