[legend="The Rising Phoenix"]…"Ahhhhhhhh!" Chi's yell could probably be heard in town. It seemed as though the phoenix form that embraced her was out of control. Though it took the form of a phoenix it attacked like a bird of prey. Chi was confused, and she was scared, but Kyoi was ready. She didn't think it would be this bad but she knew something bad would happen, and as the fire that formed the phoenix around Chi started to turn into a more golden color she knew she was wrong for helping her achieve this form. For a moment all she could think about was how she should have known Chi wouldn't have been able to control it yet.
"This is bad, this is bad…" She would finally move, aiming to stop Chi was leaving the area. No one seemed to come here very often, but who knew how long it would take her to get around people. Despite her appearance she wasn't that much of a danger when it came to higher ranked Shinobi. She could very easily be mistaken for a demon and taken out. "Chi, you need to calm down!"
"Ooouuuuyyyggggaaaaaa!" Her yelling became more demonic, at least it sounded that way. Someone who has witnessed a Jinchuuriki in their cloak might mistake her for that, but it wasn't the case. It was a blood inherited issue that only certain people would know how to control. One of them was Kyoi, but she couldn't control it herself. She just knew how to control it, for the moment all she could do was stop Chi from hurting anyone, included herself. The fire may not hurt her because of stuff that will be explained later in Chi's plot, but it could begin to hurt her if she didn't gain control of herself back.
"Chi, you need to stop the immolation armor jutsu!" She ran out in front of the little girl and gave her a kick in the stomach just strong enough to knock her back. She landed with a thump and another yell. "You heritage is coming out, you need to control it." The woman would then sit on top of the flaming phoenix and grab through the fire and shake the young girl.
Inside Chi's head there was a fight going on. She knew she had to take control of her body again but she couldn't, she didn't know what was going on. She was lost, there was darkness everywhere. She saw her family mocking her, calling her weak. She saw Souji, and all she could think about was how she would never be able to live up to his expectations. She wanted to become a guardian, but she was useless. That's what was going through her head, all this hatred for herself was literally fueling the fire (that and chakra).
"You need to remain calm! Don't let the darkness over take you. You are a Kogane, and you are so much more." Though she could barely here Kyoi, she caught enough to become more confused. "This is part of your training, you need to overcome your fears to properly control your true power."
"Ooyyuuggaaaa! The girl pushed the unsuspecting Kyoi off her but didn't go anywhere. She stood in place and her flames grew brighter, the gold hues dancing off the ground around her. "I am Chi of the Kogane clan…" She thought, thinking back to when she first met Sadako. She showed her the form of the phoenix that she was working on, back then it was just her catching on fire. She told her about her dreams, about her ambitions. Ever since the tournament, all that time ago, she's been letting fear and doubt control her. It fueled her to train and fight, but that wasn't the right fuel for her. She was a Kogane, but she was in fact much more than that. She was the future Tsuchikage.
"Oooyyuugg……..aaaaa! with another yell she would lower the flames and lose the shape. Then she was able to stop the immolation armor jutsu. "Huh… huh… What… What was that?" She managed to get some words out despite not being able to breathe very well.
"I'm sorry, Chi. I should have known you wouldn't be able to control it, your chakra is different. That combined with your doubts and fears created by your family and whatever other circumstances made the other part of your heritage take over."
"what… Other…?" Chi gasped out, taking a seat in the dirt as Kyoi walked over and stood in front of her.
"That's a secret, one you'll learn in time. For now, just know there's a lot more to you than the Kogane Clan." With that Kyoi took her leave, before Chi could get out another word the woman was gone. Chi let her body go limb and fall to the ground.
"I don't understand her…" Chi muttered before closing her eyes and taking a quick cat nap…[/legend][legend="OOC; 825"][/legend]
