Appearance said:Kouin has black hair, which reaches down to his neck line, while also framing his face quite nicely. The sheer obsidian color of his glistens dimly in the shadow of the moon. He has deep onset brown eyes, which can almost be mistaken as empty abysses.
Regardless of the weather, Kouin can found wearing a stripe patterned scarf with white and black alternating stripes; though he might not always have it wrapped around his next, he always has it on his person. The scarf was the only gift he ever got from his father before he passed away when he was nine years old.
The scarf is not his only notable piece of clothing, he is also know to wear a brown suede coat, which reaches down to his knees. The jacket ties in the front at the waist. Along with every other assortment of items he has, within the front top pocket of the coat rest an old pocket watch, which is embroidered with ancient marking, which most likely date back to the chaos era or further. The pocket watch was a gift to him from his mother after graduating from the academy.
Personality said:Kouin is fleet of foot and always quick to think of a way to divert a negative situation into the exact opposite. He tries his best to avoid conflict, but when conflict rears its ugly head, Kouin stay calm of mind, and doesn't make any hasty decisions.
Kouin has always had a slight fixation with the concept of time and space. He has always been intrigued with the stars, the moon, and the sun; how and why they radiate they do.
Kouin has by no standard a genius level IQ, but he has always been able to figure things out one step ahead, as if he had already done it once before.
History said:Kouin grew up in an upper class part of the Hidden Mist Village due to his roots leading to Santaru Kaze Raiden as his grandfather. He lived a rather comfortable life style, but it was due to all the hardship and turmoil that his forefather endured, if it weren't for him it would be all for not, and they could be sleeping out in the middle of no where.
His father was much like his father; pure Santaru blood, crystalline blue eyes, electromagnetic pull, light blonde hair , but Kouin on the other hand didn't have any of that; the Santaru blood was lacking in him. His father was worried that the legacy might die with his offspring, but he had a son, and that was good enough for him, but even if the Santaru blood didn't run strong in him, he still carries that seed.
Kouin started the academy the day he was old enough to enroll, but being apart of the heritage he is, he got awkward looks, but they never affected him. The fact that he wasn't a full blooded Santaru like his father or grand father did bother him slightly, but he knew he was bound for something great, and it was his goal to achieve that greatness.
Kouin excelled through his classes at an unusual pace, as if something was making him Haste, but regardless, he was completing classes, courses, tests at breakneck speeds, and accurately; his teachers were frankly astounded, and confused all at the same time. His homeroom teacher, who was also his ninjutsu instructor, was talking to his other two teachers, "How is he getting through everything so quickly?" His other teachers simply shrugged, thinking he was just a talented shinobi, but then his homeroom teacher mentioned something that got them thinking, "Could he be cheating in anyway? The thought was down right absurd, but not one hundred percent far fetched in their eyes. They decided give him his advancement examination early, and privately, just to observe him more closely.
When he got the letter in the mail he was as happy as could be; he'd be advancing early, what more could he ask for?
Three days had passed, and the day of his examination has arrived; for the last three days and two nights, he had been mentally, physically, and spiritually preparing himself for this exam. He got up and headed straight for the meeting area.
His ninjutsu instructor was the first to address him, "You'll made stellar movement in your studies and practice Kouin, they are quite phenomenal." He took a step forward and took a deep breath, "Too phenomenal..." His other instructors simply nodded, but Kouin was confused, What is this all about? I was just doing what felt like I've done once before...
Kouin took a meager step back, prepared to make a split second decision, but his instructor shouted at the top of his lungs, "HOW DID YOU ALL THAT SO PERFECTLY?!?!?!? Kouin sized up the shouting instructor, About 5'6, lean, chuunin ranked, with two others with relatively same build as back up.... That's a losing battle... He catches a slight glimpse of instructor pulling back one leg and getting into a stance, "This is your exam. Survive. Kouin gulped in slight fear, and tried to recompose himself.
As his instructor lunged violently him, with what looked to be the intent to kill, Kouin couldn't help but feel he was watching him move at a much slower rate than what he should have been, I can see it... See what he is going to do... But why? He didn't have time to think why he could, all he could do was take advantage of this skill. His movements quickened, and reality seemed to return to normal speeds, and he was ready for what he had in store.
His instructor's fist began to radiate a scorching hot blaze that could melt even the strongest of metals, but Kouin was prepared for it, he tucked his arms close to his body, and spun around his instructor and set a swift kick to the back of the knee. They both gasped in surprise, "How.... How did you see it coming, I should be faster than you!" Kouin was trying to get a grasp on what just happened as much as his instructor was too, but all he could say was this, "I saw it before it happened..."
His instructor just began to laugh, "Saw it before it happened huh? Well see this!" Kouin couldn't see anything time, not action at least, but he see the rippling of water, What does that mean? He quickly tried to process the meaning of the ripples... Dispersing Kouin looked forward and dead on at his instructor, "You asked me to survive, while that is here! He noticed the smug look on his face "You have a lot of moxie kid. He shot his jutsu towards Kouin, and he had one thing to say, ALLONS-Y! He shot both hands up towards the jutsu, and began making it ripple outward into weaker, and weaker bits, till it was nothing.
Kouin collapsed to one knee, with staggered speech, he looked at his instructors, "I've survived more any academy student.. And then he passed out. Eventually when he came to, he was awoke to the shining glare of his own headband, I did it.. And then he went back to sleep.
Two years have passed since he took his 'genin exam', and he enrolled into the AiT program, now was the time he'd make his mark into the league of the full fledged Anbu Black Ops. Looking up at the sky Kouin could see the obsidian colored raven circling above. Eventually the raven dropped a scroll near Kouin; looking it over, he could only nod, this was the moment he had been waiting for. Swirling his scarf around his neck, and pulling on his coat, he made headway towards his location. Little did he know, their would be a very close person to him that dies.
Reaching the ruins located on the outskirts of town, he sees another scroll slid onto a tree branch. Reaching for it slowly, he notices the slight glimmer of trip wires; pulling out a kunai, he grabs part of the wire between his hand and the scroll. Grabbing the scroll, Kouin quickly ducks back, and watches as a barrage of kunai fly by; unraveling the scroll, he looks ominously into the entrance of the ruins, Guess I have to go in there. Tossing the scroll in the air, Kouin shoots a ball of lightning at the scroll to set it in flames.
Walking into the ominous arches of the ancient ruins of some old civilization or something, Kouin ventured in to see what he must do. Bats suddenly came flying out, but Kouin didn't even flinch, he has been trained to stay vigilant and not let the unexpected surprise him. As he walked deeper and deeper in the cavern, the smell of blood seemed to ripen, as if he was getting closer to a large pool of fresh blood, What on earth am I dealing with? Still venturing downward, he began to investigate his surroundings, and to no surprise, blood. Blood covering the wall in a streak, as if someone was dragged down this cavern recently; he knelt down and touched his finger to it and rubbed his fingers together, Still fresh... Getting up and getting a good around, Kouin continued to make his way further down the cavern. I might not be too late.
The smell of fresh blood continued to thicken, and it wouldn't lighten up, he was definitely getting close to the source.
Seeing a light around the corner, Kouin stops at the corner, and peers around it, and for a moment he was simply mortified; a pool of fresh drained blood dead in the center, 'cultist' ripping the blood out of 'sacrifices' and filling the pool even more, but one of the sacrifices looked familiar. Light blonde hair, crystalline blue eyes... Kouin clenched his hand into a fist, Dad.... The rage almost completely overwhelmed him, but then he got his composure back. If I don't hurry he will die... He had to quickly size up the enemy; taking another look around, Three cronies, one leader. If I can release my dad than it will be a two versus four Kouin took a step into the limelight, and took a hard lock on the man who is holding down his dad, Dad! Absorb! Quickly, Kouin shot off a giant shot of lightning threw the captor's arms, forcing him to release. The one is only slightly injured, and they all begin to circle Kouin and his father. This maybe it His father just began to laugh, My father always told me never to give up, no matter how hard things gets. Do you think he would be here if he just decided to give up because things were too hard? No. We stand and we fight. Kouin gave his father a quick glance, and nodded, You're right.
Kouin's father started with the classic Santaru's updraft, knocking the already damaged one into a near by wall, putting him out of his pain. Kouin saw the movements of another of the 'cultist' moving viciously towards him, sending his hand to his side he formed a solid ball of lightning in his hand, and rammed it into the oncoming attacker, sending him to the floor. The final cronies was taken out by Kouin's father, but while his fathers back was turned, the leader came from behind and jammed his hand through his father's chest cavity, letting all the blood just drain out. Kouin looked in pure shock. His already electrified hand grew even brighter, till it grew so bright it was almost blinding, You have no idea what a big mistake you just made. As Kouin was sending Kirin in for the attack, Kouin saw the ripples once more, Send it into multiple attacks.... As Kouin sent out Kirin, he did a pulsating motion with his hand, and Kirin began to split into multiple attacks, and Kouin uttered one word, Allons-y
As the leader fell to the ground, Kouin rushed up to his father, No... You can't die now! His father just put on a genuine smile and placed his hand on Kouin's shoulder, There's nothing you can do son, my time is up, the damage is too great This was too much for Kouin to handle; he began to dig as deep as he could for that inner power he once had, I can fix this! Kouin began concentrating as hard as he could, he could slowly begin to feel onset damage disappear, yet he could still feel his father's blood pouring out the back, It only sealed the front.... He used his free hand to punch the solid ground, I'm sorry... His father let out one final laugh, Don't be sorry, I'm proud of you... And in that moment his father had died in his hands.
Kouin sat there for a good hour in sheer silence, unsure of what to do. Time continued to pass on, and he eventually stood up and decapitated the leader's head and began making his way back HQ. The trek took an hour in itself, and standing outside the building another hour, but he eventually went in the office, and dropped the 'cultist' leader's head on the sennin's desk, Mission accomplished.

Kouin said:TEMPORAL STRIDER
Temporal Striders are born seemingly apart from the world at large, unaffected by the force of time itself and thus able to manipulate it. They are ancient and burning, walk in forever, and see the turn of the universe...so the legends say. While even they cannot affect the strict past or the fluid future, they can work the lower levels of time directly around them, and move in it as though it were space due to their greater understanding of it than most possess.
Ripple Effect
The rate at which a jutsu is cast and dispelled is variable to a Strider, allowing them to have it break up and attack multiple targets over several rounds, or even the same target over time.
Effect: Any Ninjutsu can be split in damage in up to four pieces (multiple hit Ninjutsu can instead be split into however many hits there are.) Each piece can be set to strike a target up to three rounds in the future. Pieces set to strike during the next round or afterwards receive a +2 accuracy bonus. This cannot be done more than once per round, and no more than two jutsu can be aimed at a single target this way at a time. (Added jutsu can be cast at the same target once previously cast jutsu have reappeared.)
Delayed Action
Time being like so much liquid to a Strider, then can easily throw their chakra forwards in it to form into its essence later--even controlling where and when it appears.
Effect: Any Ninjutsu can be cast into the future by up to three rounds (1 Round minimum), gaining a +3 accuracy bonus. Ninjutsu cast in this manner are modded at the beginning of the round they are cast into. This cannot be done more than once per round, and no more than two jutsu can be aimed at a single target this way at a time. (Added jutsu can be cast at the same target once previously cast jutsu have reappeared.)
Wait Reaction
Restriction- Requires Body Switch
Every so often, a Strider's knowledge gives them the ability to predict their opponent's next action and formulate an effective counter to it. If they are successful, they could gain a significant advantage.
Effect: Auto-dodge opponent's next attack. With the next 1.5 AP, may make one action against the opponent at +3 accuracy. Cannot be used more than three times per battle. If the user chooses not to make an attack, the 1.5 AP is wasted. Incurs a -2 dodge debuff for the rest of the round after being used.
Spellweave
To most, multi-hitting jutsu occur rapidly, but not simultaneously. To the Strider, however, such fragments of time are mutable, and subject to their whim, allowing them to weave such pieces together and make them appear to be fired all at once.
Effect: Converts a Multi-hit Jutsu into a single-hit one; all strikes would hit simultaneously using the same check. Any limits or restrictions apply normally (Such as only 'x' strikes being capable of hitting)
Temporal Step
Restriction- C Rank and up
The Strider possesses the skills to not only look through time, but to temporarily step out of it as well, rendering them resistant to most normal forms of harm aimed at them and allowing them an unclouded perception on the battle they are in.
Effect: The user makes a step out of time for the duration of one round. During this round, the user cannot be affected by Genjutsu, and any Genjutsu which they are under are temporarily ignored for the duration, though are still active. They also gain 10% damage reduction against all Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, and cannot be KOed while out of time, though if they take sufficient damage they will be knocked out when they phase back into normal space-time. Genjutsu cannot be cast in this state, however, and any Ninjutsu and Taijutsu cast require an additional 10% CP cost. This is treated as a free action and may be done every other round.
Second Echo
Restriction- C Rank and up.
A Strider dislikes wasted time more than perhaps anyone else. So when their own time is wasted by a jutsu missing when cast, they simply pull it out of the past rather than waste time casting it again.
Effect: User may pull any Ninjutsu they cast the previous round that missed entirely to be redirected at the same target again or a new target. Costs 15% of the CP the jutsu originally took to cast and the same AP initially used, but only does 80% the original damage it would have. May only be used once per round.
Haste
Restriction- B Rank
The term "speed kills" is the mission statement of the Temporal Strider. By increasing their chakra output, they can cause all of their actions to quicken. It's even possible that they could even quicken the actions of a party member.
Effect: The user's actions are executed at 0.25 AP timing faster for 1 round and all CP costs are increased by 20%. This may only be done once every other round. All AP costs are paid normally but executed faster.

A Strider has it within their power to comprehend time on many different levels, allowing them to move with precision that few can comprehend. Their movements through time can often be tricky for others to follow.
Effect: +3 dodge.
Reversion
Restriction- A-Rank and Up
The ultimate in control of time--the ability to turn back time, to make it so that the last few seconds never happened. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, the Strider does not possess the capability to cleanse the memory of the time from anyone's minds, making this perhaps a bit of a risky tactic, as their opponents will have themselves replenished as well.
Rank 1: The effects of the last round are negated for all present within the battle. 70% of all damage inflicted by and to all in the battle is also negated, as well as 70% expended chakra. All other effects are reset to as they were at the beginning of the round. This only applies to effects within the battle, those entering are not affected.
Rank 2: The effects of the last round are negated for all present within the battle. 90% of all damage inflicted by and to all in the battle is also negated, as well as 90% expended chakra. All other effects are reset to as they were at the beginning of the round. This only applies to effects within the battle, those entering are not affected.
Cost: 3.5 AP, 4500 CP
Notes:
- May only be used once per battle. Cannot be used in the same round as Haste, Renewal, or Temporal Step. Does not change the reappearance of jutsu cast with Ripple Effect or Delayed Reaction, nor Delayed Shot if that jutsu has been used, unless they appeared within the negated round.

Healing Factor
- The user gains 3% Max HP at the end of each round.
- All Medical Jutsu are +10% more effective on the user.
Bloody Mess
- The user's Critical hits will always increase bleeding rank, even if the attack does not normally inflict bleeding. This does not apply to non-offensive techniques aimed at allies that can crit.
- When attacking a target at their maxed Bleeding Rank, the user has a base chance of 10% to deal 1.5% Max Hp damage immediately. This chance may be increased with the user's Bleed bonuses up to a 20% chance, but may only effect a target up to three times per round.
- When either of the above effects trigger, the target will take an additional +.5% Max Hp damage per round from bleeding on top of their current Bleeding damage. This does not stack.
Quick Reaction
If the user dodges an attack, the user may declare a jutsu to be used as a counterattack against the attacker at +1 Accuracy/DC. The user pays all costs normally.
Notes:
- This includes Basic Strikes / Called Shots (They are a part of Taijutsu).
- This action is modded immediately after the attack they dodged, can only target the attacker, and cannot be a bind.
- This can only occur twice per round and may not be used in conjunction with the Teamwork ability.
- An Ally can not set off the effects of quick reaction.
- The user can not quick react and target multiple people, but may still use an AoE technique on a single target.
Clarity
- The user is given a resistance check every round against Genjutsu as opposed to the normal round wait time.
- The user is is always aware that they are in a Genjutsu unless the Genjutsu was treated as a Sneak Attack.
- This ability cannot be used with Willpower.
Concentrated Focus
The user's binds have a -5% chance of being escaped from and binds which break upon the user losing a portion of their Max HP or CP are now increased to 20% Max HP/CP.
Special Action - Tighter: Once per round, the user may attack the target of their own bind, allowing them to Auto-Hit with B-Rank and lower jutsu. The bind will still break once damage is dealt. This may only be done twice per battle.
Deflection
- Partial hits upon the user are treated as misses. This does not overwrite effects which state partial hits are treated as full hits.
- Attacks which initially miss the user have a 10% chance of being deflected to a different target (does not stack with the previous note).
- Deflected attacks that target another victim are chosen at random and use the attacker's accuracy type with the user's accuracy secondary.
Special Action: For 1 AP, the user may choose to have a deflected attack target a victim of their choosing. This is done reflexively.
Human Anatomy
- The user gains +1 Critical Range to all attacks.
- All critical hits deal 2.25x Damage. Additional Critical Damage does not stack with any other Critical attack damage buffs (Opportunist, Hawkeye, etc.).
Duelist
- +2 Accuracy/DC and +10% damage towards a single target. User must choose target at beginning of battle. Should the target be KO, or no longer in the battle, the user may choose another target. Targeting any other opponent (excluding clones) from the initial target will nullify this ability for the remainder of the battle.
- +10% chance to auto-dodge the targets attacks
- -2 Dodge/Save to any other opponents targeting the user
Notes:
- When choosing a target, the user must declare what type of Accuracy or DC buff they wish to receive. Either Melee, Range, Ninjutsu, or Gen. The type of buff remains constant as long as this ability is active.
- Clones are considered an extension of their owner and all above effects will still apply.
Jutsu Creator
- This technique allows the user to combine two techniques into one. Using it takes the highest ap being used +1ap.
- Damage is, 90% (higher ap jutsu) + 60% (other jutsu)Jutsu combo counts as one fluid move, not two separately
- Accuracy of the technique is averaged out between the two jutsu.
- This jutsu retains half of any associated effects or debuffs, from both Jutsu.
Cost: 90% of combined total cp cost.
Notes:
- This may only be done once per round.
- To use this ability with a Ninjutsu or Taijutsu, the user must have 200 in that stat and a Chakra Control stat of 300 as well.
- Ninjutsu cannot combine with Taijutsu. For Taijutsu, melee and ranged techniques may not be combined.
- Jutsu combined must be based on the same accuracy type (Melee/Ranged/Ninjutsu).
- This may only be used with offensive techniques. No buffing, no binds, no prepping the area for another attack, etc.
- This cannot be used with Genjutsu or Bl/CA/Kinjutsu techniques.
- When using the user must specify which jutsu goes first.
- Resulting jutsu receives buffs from both elements if the elements differ. However, this does not surpass the usual Buff Limit.
Release Restraint
All Bind-escape chances are increased by +5%. Additionally, escape attempts cost -0.5 AP than usual. Once per round, the user's first escape attempt costs no AP.
