The desk she sat behind was uncomfortable, not in the physical sense, but in that Chiyoko had never envisioned herself sitting behind one within the confines of the Academy, though it seemed a natural progression. Over the past few months she had incurred far too many injuries to continue her duties in the field, so the sadists in the main branch had set her up with, what she thought was, a temporary position within the academy. She was to imbue her experience and knowledge into the next group of hardened killers that the village would produce, an easier job than the rigors she had been through in her time within the branch. Her feet pressed against the top of the desk trying to stave away the pain in her abdomen, still recovering from four broken ribs, one hernia, and two slipped discs. If she was being entirely honest her performance right now probably wouldn't have been much better than the kids she had been informed she would be teaching.
Behind her was a blackboard which she had already sprawled her name upon along with a brief message for her students just in case she managed to fall asleep before they came in, "Instructor: Wakahisa Chiyoko. Class will begin at 1300 hours. NOT BEFORE 1300 HOURS. Please come in and introduce yourself to your classmates and myself, remove your equipment, and prepare to journey out into Attonbitus. This class will require a 48 hour stay in the forest as indicated by the paperwork you received earlier, let's have some fun guys." she had already made a conscientious decision to avoid being anything like her instructors, far too stiff and terse. A light smile kissed the edges of her lips as she imagined the next couple of days, pulling the center drawer from the desk she sat behind pulling a...You guessed it!... Well probably not... A pair of handcuffs, the novelty type with the pink fur around the hands and all that good stuff, you don't need to worry where she got them from, just that they would be a pivotal item throughout the course of the class. Within the drawer there were several other sets, all of which of the novelty variety, as she was unsure as to how many students had actually accepted the class.
As much as they taught the young to rend their enemies in the academy there always seemed to be a distinct lack of team building exercises. It was in her opinion that they did not teach their children to be able to survive among others in the wild, those times stuck in the marshes, forests, and mountains for weeks or even months at a time, no running water, no soap, really no amenities. Now, when you're alone up there it's a whole different world, but when you find yourself sitting with two other kids you barely even know and half the time dislike tensions can run high, and when tensions run high bad things happen, and when bad things happen there have been a remarkable amount of cases involving fragging, or incidents of friendlies attacking each other, in the field. Exercises such as the one Chiquita was running are aimed to give students the ability to deal with their comrades in the field, to simulate the stress of being away from home in the bush, and to become more apt in the art of scavenging. It was going to be a grand old time.
(OOC: Alright guys, once everyone has entered into the thread we will be exiting to a separate thread within the Attonbitus in the Outer Village zone. I will be giving everyone until Monday the 18th to join this thread for introductions, do note you will not be marked as late if you join the other thread within the first round of official posting. Now down to the nitty gritty, students will be split into teams of two at my discretion, and if we have an odd number one student will be teamed with yours truly. Posting order will be kept loose, though I will be posting at the end of each round which depending on how many students join they will likely be in either 8, 12, or 24 hour intervals IC. Now for the inactivity rules, I request everyone post at least every 72 hours to keep everything rolling, if something arises feel free to personal message and no punishment will be taken. Otherwise you will be given two strikes before being failed from the class. Most of all, let's just try to have some fun.)
