Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

His brother was giving him his usual perplexed looks. Arashi tried to ignore it but, when someone is looking like that at your face, It is very hard to ignore. “What is it?” He mumbled out, still immersed in his task. He could see imagine seeing his brother’s smug face. The older boy, whistled playfully and said, “Oh boy, if I had known my little brother was such a nerd, I wouldn’t have allowed you to touch those books and scrolls. Maybe I should have sold them after all. At Least they would have fetched a nice price.” He finished all chirpy and bubbly. Arashi ignored his babbling and shooed him away. Learning the basics of strategy was key to success for any good shinobi. He had spent a lot of time reading scrolls on shinobi maneuvers and had asked his teachers at the academy to recommend him similar books. He had also tried to practically test out all the theories he had learnt so far from the materials. After all there was only so much you could learn from reading a book. If he wanted to lead someday, this would have to be a crucial part of his arsenal.

Weapon attunement -
He marvelled it every time he saw it. This sword was different and Arashi could feel it. One of his brother’s lackeys had bought this from a foreign land and Arashi had desired it from the moment his eyes fell on the weapon. He had pestered his brother over and over again. His brother had staunchly refused at first, but after seeing his determination had given in and let him have it. While handing it over, his brother explained how it was rumoured to be a sacred sword once owned by a legendary shinobi. Some people claimed that his spirit was still attached to the sword. Of course Arashi was too busy appreciating his new weapon to pay attention to anything his brother said. He quickly cleaned the sword and started practicing basic swordplay moves. It was a weird feeling that he experienced. Almost as if the sword had become an extension of his arm, he mastered every basic sword maneuver he knew on the first try. He felt more connected to this sword than any weapon before and that gave him pride.


Called shot -
How long had it been? Arashi rubbed his tired eyes and glanced at the clock. It was well past midnight, which meant he was at it for more than four hours. He wondered for a moment why he had spent the last four hours studying about the human body and chakra points. He had never been interested in anything related to medical ninjutsu, but after attending an academy class explaining the importance of using the opponent's weak points in combat to one’s advantage. That was all the motivation he needed to borrow some books related to human anatomy and chakra systems in humans. After finishing the final book, he decided to get some shuteye and practising what he had learn the next day. Sure enough the next day, he set up his practice scarecrow like many times he had before. Unsheathing his sword, he started practicing a basic three slash combo, aiming for the vital spots of his imaginary targets. It took him a while, but he was finally able to hit his desired targets at will. This would surely be a great asset in combat, when the time came.


Willpower -
Arashi reflected on his time so far in Konoha. The early days were the toughest. He and his brother struggled to even get food. Living of the kindness of others was never going to be easy. His brother started working for a shady businessman as a porter. As a result Arashi had to live without a roof alone for days on. Since he was the smallest among the other grifters, he was often the target of bullies. His intelligence and wits often came across as offending to others and he was beaten more than a few times. Despite this, He never gave in to change himself and complained to his brother. He knew that he could rely on his brother, but he needed to be strong on his own. He had to be because there was much left to do for him. He could not give up. Not now, not ever.

Conservative motion -
Five steps, that’s all he had in today’s obstacle course. His target was his usual practice scarecrow. One misstep would result in a mud bath, which he was getting too used to. He had been trying to do this since last week, but had not got any success. Drawing a deep breath, he dashed towards, the target. The first three steps went without a hitch, but he almost took an extra step before the fourth foothold. Narrowly avoiding falling into the mud pit, he regained his balance and made the final step and with three clean strikes the target was dead. He rechecked the cuts, confirming them to be mortal wounds. Finally he had achieved what he was trying to do since last week. His next target was to do this in three steps, which seemed it would take even longer. But he would do it eventually. He believed he would.
