Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

.....Year 7 SE, August 1st 03:14 PM.
.....Dragon Tooth’s Pass. Kumogakure’s Gates.
.....Arrival of Tanaka Miyo, Tanaka Shinji, and Tanaka Nobuo.
.....A glimpse of what happened. Live.

For one day they had traveled. For one night they had slept, and after another half a day – they arrived. The gates were huge, and it didn’t appear to them that they were actually guarded, they couldn’t see anyone outside or atop the towers that oversaw the path.

“Well… they are shinobi.” – said a man in his mid-fifties. He was accompanied by a woman in her late forties, and a teenager of about fifteen. They were his family.

“Well father? What now?” – said the fifteen year old. “Are we supposed to just sit in our asses and wait for someone to show up?” – he was frustrated, and it showed.

“Watch that language Shinji!” - The female, his mother, replied to the boy’s question.

Not long after, a man interrupted their discussion. He was dressed in black, and had a thick fur cloak to clothe him from the freezing winds. The man was wearing an ANBU mask. “Visitors. Do you have your passports in hand?”

The family turned their attention to the man immediately, leaving memories of their previous discussion to get lost in their past. Both, the teenager and the woman stared at the middle-aged man intensively, until he spoke. “We have a letter from Hi – Tanaka Hikari-sama.” – he paused for a moment. “We’re the Tanaka’s, you see.” – The man smiled, even though he still wasn’t accustomed to call himself a Tanaka.

The ANBU jumped from the top of the wall. Both adults looked in awe at the man’s courage from such a task, and success in landing. The boy remained silent; his facial expression was that of boredom.

“Can I see that letter you speak of?” – said the ANBU. His question was follow by the middle-aged man taking neatly-rolled letter, still sealed, from the pouch at his side.
Hikari said:
July 14th, Year 07.

To whom it may concern,

I, Tanaka Hikari, sennin of the main branch, grant access to the village to the group composed of: Tanaka Miyo, Tanaka Nobuo, Tanaka Shinji, for the purpose of family matters. Upon arrival, and after their identities are confirmed through the method of: I.D., they are to be guided to the Tanaka residence in the Suzukino District.

Sincerely,
Signed: Tanaka Hikari. Sennin of the Main Branch.

After reading the letter, the ANBU asked for the before-mentioned identification, which they proceeded to hand in. Seconds after, the gates opened, and they proceeded, with an ANBU guide, to make their way to the Tanaka residence. The fifteen year old spoke again.

“I will become a shinobi eventually. With or without your permission, I do not need it anymore.” - there was hate in his words.
“Shinji, I will have no more of this. As many sons have told their fathers and many fathers before me have replied…” – there was a slight pause in the man’s speech “I am the commander and chief of this family and you will not act without my consent.”

“That’s not even a reason! That is ignorance in the subject. You know I can, everyone in the village says so. I am destined to it!”

“Shinji, listen to your father!” – The woman, his mother, interrupted, startling, and angering the boy even more.

“You won’t be here forever! The time will eventually come when you die, and when that happens I will not even look back!”

“Shinji!” – His mother interrupted once more. The man wasn’t so subtle, he bolted his arm sideways, stopping the boy, turned around, and smacked him with an open palm in his face.

“We will not speak of this again…”

“I will look forward, and smile at my destiny!” – before his father could stop him, the boy charged into an alley. Meanwhile, the ANBU didn’t even look back.

“We’re nearing the residence.” – said the guide.
