Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The sound of their boots tapping along the cold stone floor of the Tarterian Specus was the only sound that echoed through the generally unpopulated section of the prison. Maikeru had requested a mostly empty ward, both for the girl's sake, and for the sake of the prisoners held there. Despite how willingly she had given herself up, she was still an S-rank missing nin, ultimately there had to be a healthy level of mistrust for her actions, it was the only logical way to handle such a unique situation. As he approached her cell, he removed his hand from the girls arm, before gesturing with his head for her to enter. The door would be closed behind her, the lock and seals around it activating with a click and a low hum.

"Sadly, until the Raikage sees you I can't take off those chakra suppressing cuffs. Have to look out for Lord Kogami, I hope you understand." Maikeru said, taking a step back from the cell. "I'll wait here with you until he arrives, he should be here shortly, he said he'd meet us here after all."

Taking a few more steps back, Maikeru leaned against the far wall before slowly falling to a seated position, resting his arm on his knee. He sat in silence for a moment, before speaking up, asking a question directed directly at the prisoner.

"So, tell me. This isn't my first shinobi village, and as far as I can tell Cloud is a utopia for a Shinobi compared to what's out there. So, why leave? Why flee from your duties? What drove you to that?"

The pink haired woman followed the man for a while until they had reached a cell, in which he would let go of her arm to let her walk into said cell. After she did so, she'd hear the lock click and a low hum just before the man spoke up, about how he couldn't take the cuffs that suppressed chakra until the Raikage had seen her.

"I understand..." She said, as the man said that he'd wait with her. She'd take a couple steps further into the cell before turning around and kneeling down where she'd be sitting on her legs. She'd watch the man move to the wall opposite the cell and slid down so that he was seated against the wall, resting his arm on his knee. His question wasn't something that she'd have expected to be asked.

"The reason is my own. And there's a reason I've turned myself in, my reason has been completed..." She said, closing her eyes as she spoke.

The sounds of metal doors opening and shutting accompanied by heavy footsteps would alert the missing-nin and the Chuunin of somebody's approach. Within a couple a moments, they would see that person was the Raikage as he arrived on the cell block and approached the cell. He first looked at Maikeru and gave a nod of acknowledgement. He seemed to see this kid everywhere since he'd allowed him to stay. Now he was bringing in a missing-nin, though, to be fair the girl had apparently turned herself in. Afterwards, he'd turn his head to peer through the bars at the girl before turning to walk to the cell, standing just outside of it.

"Rakujo Yumeko... former shinobi of this village. Wanted for desertion. I am the Raikage, as you might have gathered. A few have come and gone since you left. I'd wager Hayata Shin was still kage at the time,"<i></i> Ayumu started. A guess. He hadn't gotten exact dates, just the idea of it. Many years had passed since this woman had gone rogue. It was certainly unlikely that she would have been found with so much time having passed, it wasn't as though she was actively being hunted. Yet, she had decided to come to the gates of the village that wanted her for her crimes and hand herself over.

"Certainly you know, all shinobi villages take the crime of dissertation very seriously. Despite that, why would you return here?"<i></i> Ayumu asked, genuinely curious. It wasn't unheard of shinobi being killed while attempting to go rogue. Certainly she must have seen that fate as a distinct possible outcome by returning to the village. What would drive her to return despite that?

It was quiet in the time leading up to the Raikge's arrival, the girl clearly not wish to partake in the conversation. Maikeru leaned his head back against the hard stone wall, inhaling slowly as his eyes focus on the missing nin across from him. Who exactly would risk almost certain death in order to come back home after this long? It certainly did speak to a certain state of mind. It wasn't long until Ayumu met the two of them down the long, empty hallway, surprisingly bereft of any sort of escort. He thought for sure like Yuii he would have some ankle bitter at his hip. Guess not.

"Lord Raikage," Maikeru said, standing to give a bow. "I can stay with you for the questioning, or make my leave. Whichever you desire."

The echo of footsteps was heard by the woman as she had sat there waiting after giving a less than satisfactory answer to the man. As the new person had stopped in front of the cell and speaking up. Her heart raced as the man spoke, stating her name then saying that he was the Raikage. Yeah it seemed right, it had been a while since she had last been here and so the title of Raikage would change hands from then. Hayata Shin sounded familiar to her but it had been a while so she couldn't remember if that was who was Raikage before she made a stupid decision and went missing.

She looked at him as he had asked her why she would return. "I returned as my reason for leaving has been finished, and I wanted to both receive whatever punishment would be given to me as well as give the fallen Shinobi that had been killed at Iwagakure's gates a proper funeral, even if I wasted so much time." She said, just with the slightest hope that she wouldn't be given death for her return.

Yumeko would move forward to, at least as best as she could with her hands still cuffed behind her, show a position of prostration.

Ayumu scratched his head as the woman replied, giving her simple reason for returning. Apparently she had finished her reason for being away and thought that she would simply return and accept whatever the village decided would be her fate. Ayumu heaved a sigh. That wasn't the wisest of moves for her to make, but it was an honest one anyway.

"Truth be told, I read up a bit about your situation before coming here. The reports about your sibling... I do understand why you felt the need to leave, despite the fact that it was against the laws,"<i></i> Ayumu began, scratching at his beard as he thought. "I'm a bit short on time today.... so I need to go ahead and make a decision here. I'd been mulling it over on my way here. Some shinobi villages, say Konoha, would certainly have you killed for daring to show your face in the village you ran from. Buuuut I'm in a good mood today. I empathize with you... so I'm going to give you a pardon,"<i></i> Ayumu concluded. He reached into his pocket and produced a key which he promptly slipped into the lock of the door before opening the cell up. He stepped forward and knelt down, unlocking the cuffs to free her hands.

"Whether or not this means you'll rejoin the village, I can't say at this time. For now you may walk free. Perhaps visit some old relatives,"<i></i> Ayumu went on. Naturally, she'd be under watch by ANBU from the shadows until it could be verified that this wasn't a huge mistake, but Ayumu was deciding on an act of mercy over his better judgement. Perhaps that was just the kind of guy he was. "Come, I will escort you out,"<i></i> Ayumu said, waiting for her to stand before going to lead her out. He looked to Maikeru before he left. "Thank you Maikeru, good work,"<i></i> he said, clapping his hand on the man's shoulder before proceeding.
