Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Wild Eyes of a Beast
Continued from “Flight on Hasted Wings”

A kite-shaped silhouette swept over the dense, luscious forestry bordering the Village Hidden in the Leaf. A rare beast was in flight— one of a kind in these parts but seen once or twice over the years by the luckiest of villagers. With an updraft of autumn wind beneath his broad wings, which flexed with power and grace. The mightiest of the Leatherwings, Caerroth had made a return to the Land of Fire. The breeze was divided by his colorful and sharp, axe-shaped head, which nodded from side to side as those red eyes scanned the horizon. Caerroth knew this land well, as he flew these skies when the Leaf was under the protection of The Guardian of his Oasis Clan: Kaji Okada. Being the Guardian of his clan meant that Kaji had the privilege to request aid from his reptilian kin whenever he needed it— in return for unconditionally helping when called upon, as well. But Kaji was a creative type. Sometimes his requests were less-battle oriented, which felt like a breach of contract to a warrior like Caerroth. However, his respect for the ways of his clan left Caerroth obliging, often.

It only took Caerroth a matter of hours to fly hundreds of miles, of which he only took a couple of detours to hunt wild game. He refreshed himself with the flesh and blood of clean kills, the way you might stop at a gas station to grab some beef jerky and a bottled drink to sate your appetite. Luckily, the backpack Kaji gave Caerroth was strong, waterproof (for the most part), and the color of fresh blood, as the stains didn’t show from the conquests during his travels. The wild Leatherwing found a river to dive into during his journey. He cleansed himself from the stains of glory with the knowledge that he might terrify the inferior humans if he arrived in The Leaf drenched with blood and bits of entrails.

The sun was just starting to dip into the horizon when Caerroth finally graced The Hidden Leaf with his arrival. He knew his responsibility well enough and flew directly towards the Aviary. Caerroth never underestimated how foolish humans could be when frightened. With his wings spread wide, the pterosaur glided into the roosting station on the upper floor. The raptors in the roost started losing it, squawking and startled by the mega reptile. A single courier rushed up the stairway to check on the commotion taking place. Jomei Koyanagi was his name; just your everyday shinobi of the Main Branch’s Information Division making the best of his lackluster assignment to the Aviary. This is what it meant to keep a low profile— taking the evening shift tending the coop and processing the messages which arrived.

To Caerroth, they young shinobi coming up the stairway was just another insolent human, and he might have been right, but Jomei knew a thing or two about the Oasis clan reptiles. He appeared as a slim-framed male in his early twenties, just making the cross into adulthood. His hair was trimmed and auburn, crossed over the brow of wide-glaring vermilion eyes. He was beginning to fill in that flak jacket a bit better since spending time in the leaf, and the rest of his uniform fit his athletic frame perfectly. “Whoa” was the first gasped words coming from Jomei’s mouth as he premiered, standing across from Caerroth and fully on guard. He almost fired webbing at the Leatherwing instantly but approached cautiously instead. “I don’t want zero problems, big fellah” Jomei said with his hands held upwards with the palms facing outward.

“Then you’re smarter than you look” Caerroth replied with a huff, seeming winded from the long travel. “I have a message for the Hokage from Guardian Okada,” he said before clinching the backpack strapped over his shoulders and hanging from his stomach. Caerroth managed to nimbly unzip the bag despite his large claws and revealed a scroll in an official Land of Lightning canister.

Jomei culled his fear and approached Caerroth, taking the scroll in hand and examining it closely. The identification marks on the item were checking out, and the pterosaur at least had worn markings representing both the Leaf and Cloud. “Guardian Okada” Jomei pondered, knowing Kaji from the days of his past, and as a false identity assumed by Emi from time to time. “Alright… thank you for your service” Jomei answered absent-mindedly, overcome with curiosity as he examined the scroll. “I will process your delivery and have the scroll on the Hokage’s desk right—” before Jomei could finish speaking Caerroth turned his back and dove out of the entryway of the coop. As long as his job was done, Caerroth did not care what the courier did with the scroll. “...Away” Jomei sighed, watching in awe as the massive flying reptile flexed its wings and lifted into the skyline. Jomei gravitated to the railing to watch as the wondrous creature flew away, fully impressed by something so large yet so aerodynamic.

- A Message for the Hokage has been delivered.
- Jomei Koyanagi has entered the thread, received the message, and delivering it to the Hokage's Office.
- Jomei has left the thread.
